Proton Authenticator Desktop App: Scan On-Screen QR Codes
The ability to scan on-screen QR codes seems to be missing from the Proton Authenticator desktop app. This makes adding new MFA entries via QR codes more tedious than it needs to be.
Similar desktop authenticator solutions, like Yubico Authenticator, have the capability to add MFA entries via on-screen QR codes, proving it is technically possible.
Having moved from Yubico Authenticator to Proton Authenticator, this capability is sorely missed. Please add this capability to the Proton Authenticator desktop app.

Save custom item types as templates
Now that it is possible to create 'Other' items – even completely from scratch – it would be nice if I could save these custom items as templates.
This would allow me to re-use my custom item types, instead of having to re-create them every single time.

Quick view / mini-app feature in MacOS
I have just migrated from 1P******d to Proton Pass.
I would like to have a "Quickview" or "mini-app" feature like in 1P on MacOS, which has a shortcut key associated with it, and through it you can get to your stored passwords quickly.
Thanks for developing a great product set outside the US. ;)

individual 4-6 digit PIN codes added as option for high risk logins
Proton Pass already keeps your data safe with two-factor authentication, which is fantastic. But imagine if, when you need to quickly access important passwords—say for your bank or private email—you could just enter a simple 4-6 (or even 8) digit PIN. It’s a fast, extra layer of security that makes retrieving your most critical credentials both secure and super convenient.

Search passwords
Imagine that you have a compromised password and now you want to find all websites where you used that password. You can't. You'll have to manually check each saved account/pass combination. This feature exists in Firefox logins&passwords and it makes it really useful.

Standalone Password Generator
i wish for a password generator that is not complicated to access just like in Bitwarden.
You could put the Password Generator under the Sync button for example53 votes -
TouchID Support for Firefox/Chrome/Safari Extension
Instead of just always on or Pin Code unlock, would it be possible to support TouchID in the browser extensions? The main application on MacOS already supports this, so not having this in the Browser Extensions feels sortsighted, unless there's a technical reason for it to not be possible.

Travel Mode
1Password has a feature that allows you to designate groups of logins that can be removed from your vault by activating "travel mode" on their website and which will be restored to your devices by deactivating "travel mode." The purpose of this feature is to allow you to hide information when crossing international borders, since border agents in many countries (including the US) can compel you to unlock your phone and show them the contents of your apps, including password managers. This is obviously a severe violation of one's privacy.
I would like to see a similar feature in Proton…

Reorder vaults
Aside for more vaults and subvaults we need a way to reorganize the order of the vaults. Rn the newest one created is at the top and the oldest at the botton. This is in the web app. I need a way to reorder them like tags in protonmail

Native Mac OS app for Proton Pass
As far as I can tell, on Mac OS, Proton Pass relies solely on browser extensions, which becomes cumbersome when using multiple browser profiles. A dedicated Mac OS menu bar app would provide a more seamless and convenient access method. With a menu bar app, I could:
- Access my passwords across all browser profiles without reinstalling extensions
- Quickly retrieve credentials without switching browser contexts
- Enjoy a consistent password management experience similar to 1Password's menu bar implementation
This would significantly improve the user experience by offering a universal, always-accessible password management solution.

Spotlight/Quick Access feature
1Password has an amazing feature that I believe not everyone knows about called Quick Access. It's a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + Space / Command + Shift + Space) that opens a window like Spotlight where you can search through all your entries, copy fields, auto-type, open website on browser, copy TOTP and etc. Great for quickly copying passwords and TOTP codes for native applications. As a developer, this is really important to me and it is one of the few reasons I haven't migrated Proton Pass yet.

Customizable theme for Proton Pass
I would really like it if there was an option to customize the theme (system theme) The dark theme is sometimes very difficult to read.

Import/Export 2FA from/to other apps
Some 2FA apps allow to import and export vaults.
E.g.: Aegis allows to import tokens and export the vault or QR codes for Google Authenticator.
It would be great to be able to import from currently used apps.51 votes -

Add support for HTTP basic authentication
If a website requires Basic Authentication, the browser creates a login prompt and at the moment it's not possible to use the proton pass browser extension to fill the credentials, This is already supported by 1Password.

Access ProtonPass with Right click / context menu
We need to access to Proton Pass with a right click to paste information (like Bitwarden does).
