Ability to add Password fields or Generate Passwords on Text and Hidden fields
We currently have only the ability to add 3 types of fields (Text, 2FA secret key (TOTP), and Hidden). None of them allows you to use the generate password feature. Some of my accounts require storing multiple passwords, and it is a pain in the neck to generate a password using another service and then copy/paste it into one of the existing fields.
I suggest either giving users the ability to generate passwords for the Text and Hidden fields, or creating a new Field "Password" to store additional passwords/secrets.

In Password use different colors for special characters, numbers, alphabetic characters.
Bitwarden has a very nice feature that shows special characters, numbers, and alphanumeric characters with different colours. This is great since allow the user to spot the correct characters quite easily.
Bitwarden uses the following convention:
* Alphabetic characters = white
* Numbers = magenta
* Special Characters = Red4 votes -
Occasionally require users to enter their Proton Pass password to unlock
One of the features I loved about 1P was the requirement every two weeks to enter my password to unlock the vault. It is unobtrusive and is the right length of time to keep the password fresh in my mind without being overbearing.

Option to secure each vault with a unique password or Yubikey
At the moment, it is possible to create multiple vaults, but these vaults can all be accessed using a single password. That isn’t very practical, especially if not all vaults need to be accessible at all times. For example, I have a vault containing personal data that I would like to secure with its own password or a Yubikey (as is possible in KeePass, for instance).

Toggle to Display Password Characters with Position Numbers
Some websites ask for specific characters of a password (e.g., “enter the 3rd and 5th characters”). It would be helpful if Proton Pass could optionally display passwords broken down into individual characters with their position numbers, controlled via a toggle.

Client login only
Make it so a password can be set in proton pass desktop and mobile apps. This will re-encrypt the vault and only allow you to sign in using the proton pass desktop and mobile apps. This is to avoid having to trust that the website has not been compromised.

Automatic authenticator integrated into Proton Pass.
It would be amazing if Proton Pass implemented 2FA auto-completion on created accounts, saving time by eliminating the need to copy and paste the authenticator code from one account to another. Therefore, I believe integrating the Advanced Authenticator into linked accounts would be feasible.

Export/import via proton-cli
Hello Team,
It would be great if you could change proton-cli to allow exporting all your proton pass items and ideally import them. I periodically have to create an encrypted backup and store it in a different object storage cloud to protect my items in case your servers get hit by a ransomware in which case E2E encryption won't help me.
Ideally the export file would not be encrypted so that in case something happens to that encryption key on your servers they won't be rendered unusable. I cannot think of a way to export encrypted in a way that…

Have Pass move to the background after user copies username or password.
Have Pass move to the background after user copies username or password. It would make pasting the entry quicker and easier into the log on box. This because autofill often does not fill the data automatically.

Opt-in spaced repitition for Proton Pass
Please add an option to integrate a Spaced Repition System (SRS) to Proton Pass. A SRS will prompt you with a question, and if you get it right, it'll ask the question later. If you get it wrong, you'll be quizzed more frequently. The idea is that you recieve a lot of stimulus for weak prompts while the ones you remember are rarely asked, if ever.
I would like to integrate this into Proton Pass because some of my passwords will be used on public computers. I will often create a password that I intend to memorize, load it into…

NO marketing popups in the Proton Pass extension
While hitting backspace to clear the search field in the Proton Pass extension, a marketing popup for Proton Duo came up and DESELECTED the search field. Pressing backspace then navigated me back through several webpages, losing my form inputs. Let me be 100% crystal clear: The Proton Pass extension is a critical tool for performing time-sensitive security tasks. It is in no way acceptable to have marketing popups (on a service I already pay a significant amount of money for) interfering with these critical tasks. If you have a marketing offer, send it by email as you already do on…

Select Generating a New Password
Currently when using the browser extension to fill passwords, the extension doesn't always recognize when I need to use the saved password or create a new one. It will auto-fill a new password unnecessarily with no option to use the saved password. I would prefer to have the saved password auto-fill and select whether or not I need to generate a new password. Then update the existing login if a new password was generated.

Display current version number
It would be VERY nice to have the current version of the Proton Pass program displayed at the bottom left of the window (same place as Proton Mail). It would also be useful to have a command line option ("--version") to display the version in the terminal.

Assign a custom name or alias to an authenticator entry
Assign a custom name or alias to an authenticator entry. I have multiple authenticator tokens from a single vendor and they are displayed with the default name. I also have a token with a completely different name (holding instead of actual company) which I would like to change into something that actually means something to me.

Two Passwords to Avoid the Hammer Attack Scenario
I would like to see the option in Proton Pass to use "either" of two passwords.
If you use password #1 Proton Pass would work as it usually does.
If you use Password #2, Proton Pass would only display certain records that have been tagged by the user.
The purpose of this would be to help prevent a successful "Wrench Attack".
If threatened physically to log into your account, you could use password #2 and minimize the loss of your data.
This would be similar to methods used on some crypto wallets. Here's an article on Wrench Attacks for reference.
