  1. Generate a random alias in Proton Pass

Currently, if you want to create a SimpleLogin alias from Proton Pass, you have to manually set a name for the alias, and by default it uses the title field to generate it.

Would be great to have a button just like the SL UI that lets you click a button which generates a random alias.

Bonus if there's a drop down to that option that lets you further customise by domain.

  4. Make the extension in the browser smaller

    Hi Proton Pass team,

First, thanks for the great extension — it works reliably and I appreciate the attention to security and functionality. I have a suggestion to improve the user experience of the popup/flyout UI that I think would make it feel cleaner and more modern.

Problem: the current flyout feels large and a bit cluttered. When I open it I want to quickly find an item, not scan through a lot of visual noise.

Proposal: introduce a compact, customizable flyout option that focuses on clarity and platform consistency:

Compact mode: a minimal flyout that shows either a simple…

  5. [Windows Proton Pass app] Sort alphabetically, by newest, by oldest

Currently on the Proton Pass firefox extension, I can sort my items by most recent, alphabetically, newest, oldest.

On the windows app there is only "most recent".

Add these sorts to the windows app.

  6. Proton pass - separate aliases into their own folder by default, separate from logins

On purging my logins/passwords I accidentally also deleted all my aliases, as they're all thrown into the same default folder. They should be in a separate folder by default for clarity that deleting one is deleting the alias itself, not just a saved login/password.

  7. Option to hide password count for the certain website

Option to hide the amount number of saved entries for a website.

Now there is always a sign of the number of entries on all websites even after login. For example using Safari on MacOS you'll see the how many entries you've saved for all the websites before and after logging in.

  9. Add mobile confirmation unlock (biometric) for proton pass for all platforms

Title: Add Mobile Confirmation Unlock for Proton Pass on All Platforms

    Suggestion:
It would be great if Proton Pass could be unlocked on Linux, macOS, Windows, and mobile devices not only with a PIN code, but also through a confirmation request sent to the user’s mobile phone.
This feature would add an extra layer of security by allowing users to confirm unlock attempts directly from their trusted device, similar to how some services use push-based authentication.Je

  10. Allow importing kdbx files

kdbx is a popular open source format that also preserves passkey data. This should be allowed as an import option because converting to xml Proton Pass does not import the passkey data correctly and none of my passkeys actual work. I need to regenerate each one in proton pass. :(

Enhance the PGP encrypted export in Proton Pass so that you can encrypt with a PGP public key instead of a password.

  12. Respect system highlight and accent colours

On macOS (and, I assume, on all other OSes as well), Proton Pass pays no attention to the user-specified highlight and accent colours that are set in System Settings. Although Proton's purple colour scheme is a pleasant change from the usual blue nightmare that some other apps use, it would be even better if it would use the user's preferences when highlighting text and UI elements as a Mac app should.

  13. Authenticator app PIN code

Biometrics are not as secure as e.g. 6-digit PIN code. Other apps like 2FAS have this feature.

Please add an iOS widget for Proton Authenticator, the 2FAS app has a great example of a widget that displays auth codes.

  15. Open source the server and not just the clients

It would be great to see Proton's true commitment to transparency by opening source code of the server instead of just having the clients open source.

  19. Distinguish "Vulnerable" passwords from "Weak" passwords in Pass Monitor

Currently the Pass Monitor lists all logins with passwords considered "Vulnerable" and "Weak" together in a long list with no apparent order. Combined with the observation that Proton Pass is fairly aggressive and inconsistent with what is considered "weak", the user will find it very difficult to prioritize for the most vulnerable passwords first.

Login entries with "Vulnerable" passwords should be focused and prioritized, grouped together at the top under a clearly marked "Vulnerable" category, and the others grouped below under a "Weak" category.

  20. Treat Copied Passwords as Recently Used

    Current behavior:
When I use a password for automatic login, the corresponding item is moved to the top of the list under "Recently Used."

However, when I copy a password manually (e.g., for desktop app logins or encrypted files/drives), the item is not moved to "Recently Used."

    Suggestion:
I would like the "Recently Used" functionality to also apply when a password is copied to the clipboard, so that the item is moved to the top in these cases as well.
