In-app/Plugin Preview for Attached Documents (Images & PDFs)
Hi Proton Pass Team & Community,
I would love to see a feature that allows for in-app or in-plugin previews of attached documents.
It would be incredibly helpful to quickly view images and PDF files directly within Proton Pass without needing to download them first.
Thanks for considering this suggestion!

Bring back the option to install the ipad version of proton pass in macos through the app store
Until some time ago we were able to get functioning autofill in macos through installing the ipad version of the app through the app store. Now proton has removed the option, and we are left with the downloadable version of the app which is an electron app without autofill. This is a terrible regression, please bring it back.

Native-feeling Mac app
There is a currently a Mac app but it is really unpleasant to use — it feels like a port of an app from another platform.
- Does not provide native macOS autofill, instead requires a browser extension
- No tabs or windows
- No keyboard shortcuts, you have to rely on the mouse for everything, not even ⌘, for preferences
- No “rubber band” scrolling which is a basic macOS feature that literally every app has
- With an item selected, up and down arrows scroll a bit instead of moving the selection
- Cannot right click an entry to act on it (delete, move, duplicate,…

Suggest time to change passwords through Pass Monitor (i.e., after 90 days, three months, etc.).
I used to subscribe to Norton. One of the features it had was monitoring when passwords were old and suggesting changes. Options given were remind after 90 days, remind after six months, or do not remind. This would not be a mandatory change, only a suggestion to keep password/account secure.

Allow logins to be "disabled" as well
I've been experiencing a relatively frequent situation regarding my personal and professional social media accounts. At least for a significant period, I kept my personal accounts disabled.
For organizational purposes, things got too mixed up in the vault due to the excess of items. From my point of view, it would be interesting to offer a feature that "disables" a specific registered login (similar to what happens with aliases), providing visual feedback (including in the item list) and a filtering option; this would make things more organized.
I want to make Proton Pass my password manager for everything. Being able…

Pass: Folders / expandable groups for organizing credentials and card data
Add a way to group saved entries into “folders” (expandable sections) so users can organize sensitive data more clearly.
Example: a user stores multiple bank cards. Instead of separate flat rows, they want a parent group like “Bank of America” (collapsed by default). When expanded, it shows nested items such as:
- Online banking login/password
- Linked cards (each card as a sub-item)
- Notes or additional related entries
This would make the list easier to work and reduce clutter while keeping related credentials together.

Feature Request: Add a "Dual-Password Mode" tab underneath Primary Password
Current Pain Point: Currently, when I am in the middle of updating a password or other services on a third-party site I have to click 'Create item', and start a brand new Login and populate it.
Proposed Solution: Please add a "Dual-Password Mode." Underneath primary Password tab.

Don't close web browser extension dialog on backdrop click
It will be super usefull if the web browser extension could stay open on backdrop click. It's easier when you copy/paste multiple infos !
Stay safe and private <3

Make the Home Tab Customizable
Currently, in the Home tab you only show one list of items of whatever category was last selected in the Filter.
Please make this screen more customizable. Let the user select what they want to see, like Favorites, Recently created items, Recently used items, Recently modified items, Frequently used items, or a list of the Categories.
1Password could be a good example.3 votes -
Dark Theme doesn't cut it (it burns, my eyes, ouch!)
Arguably most people don't care about the theme (though by the number of votes regarding the issue of dark/light themes for the desktop app, maybe the rest still makes for a good bunch).
Though the dark theme doesn't solve it for all those who can't stand the white-lit screen of Light mode. The dark theme was a great one for those that are famliarized with and want a (near-)black background (among other things) instead of a white one I bet, though honestly that goes past the purpose of a less eye-straining choice of colors.
"Dark theme"s as they are passed…

Authenticator web app
It was great to see Authenticator launch with apps on every platform. It’d be great to see that rounded out with a web app, e.g. authenticator.proton.me. I have hundreds of codes and the app reaches a point where management and scaling becomes more difficult to do on mobile. A web app would give some freedom for managing codes on the desktop without necessarily needing to install an app (or in scenarios where it’s not possible to install one).

Autofill for Linux Desktop App
I'm just a normie who doesn't pay a ton of attention so I hope this already doesn't exist, but basically the title makes it pretty self explanatory. I like the autofill feature in the browser but as a security guy I am not a huge fan of browser extensions as password managers, so I think it makes sense to port the autofill feature to the desktop app similar to something like keepass or 1pass for example. That's about it, love yall.

Hide indicator on Proton Pass browser extension
I don't like that Proton Pass's browser extension shows the number of logins available for a site. (On Safari, for reference.) I sometimes want to show someone something over my shoulder; they don't need to see I have multiple YouTube logins or things like that. Not to mention the red dot says "something is actionable" to me when, half the time, I'm already logged into the site. I don't see an option to toggle that off and would love one. Thanks.

Manual password Generator
there is no option to manually generate a password within the app (unless I am doing something wrong) - the https://proton.me/pass/password-generator - is nice, but clumsy to get to in some instances. Built-in one would be helpful.

Sort by created
Maybe I am blind but is there no function to sort the vault by created date? I have struggles searching for things because it always sorts it by last used. And the different types of sorting functions are not that varied. Is there no function for Sort by creation date?

Extend custom fields to include existing field types
Currently, the available custom field types are quite limited (text, TOTP, secret, date).
I would like to see Proton extend the range of custom fields to include field types that are already supported elsewhere in entries, such as:
• Website / URL
• Password (which seems to be treated differently from a generic “secret” field)This would make custom fields more consistent, flexible, and aligned with how Proton already handles structured data. It would also allow users to better adapt entries to their specific needs without losing the benefits of type-specific handling (e.g. clickable links for websites, password-specific features like…
