1. Coins diversity + stablecoins (USDT, USDC, EURC) is a must

   ...otherwise it's nearly useless and I can't imagine any real use case where I or my friends can use it or extract any benefit from it, as Bitcoin is too volatile for "real" money transfers.

2. Customize network fee

   When sending bitcoin, I can at the moment chose between 3 different fee priorities. However, I would like to be able to set that manually. Specially if my transaction has very low priority and I want to save on network fees.

   This can be a hidden feature that only a power user would find, so normal users do not get confused.

   Additionally I would love to see not just the absolute fee amount, but also the relative (fee rate) in sats / vbyte.

3. Openbank

   Open up the wallet to fiat currencies.
   The wallet would be able to display not only bitcoin wallets but bank accounts, so you could view how much money you have in your accounts in one app without logging into multiple apps or ****** websites.
   Finance aggregator, and it could also show your investments, stocks commodities etc

4. Allow proton.me aliases to be used for email bitcoin recieve

   I can use my custom domain aliases and these are not blocked, but when i try to create and use a proton.me alias for email receive. They are blocked, or they are not allowed through somehow.

   ProtonWallet should accept Litecoin, as its robust tokenomics make it a reliable and efficient option for payments. Litecoin is often regarded as the "silver to Bitcoin's gold" because it was created by Charlie Lee in 2011 as a fork of the Bitcoin Core client, aiming to address perceived limitations in Bitcoin, particularly in terms of transaction speed and cost. Like Bitcoin, Litecoin has a fixed supply, capped at 84 million coins, which helps to maintain its value over time and prevents inflation.

   Litecoin operates on a similar proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism, ensuring a secure and decentralized network. However, it uses the Scrypt hashing algorithm, which is designed to be more memory-intensive and less conducive to specialized mining hardware (ASICs), promoting greater decentralization among miners. This contributes to the network's security and resilience against potential attacks.

   In terms of safety, Litecoin has a long track record of stability and reliability. Its codebase is similar to Bitcoin's, benefitting from similar security features and continuous development from a dedicated community.    Advantages Over Monero

   1.  Regulatory Compliance and Transparency: Litecoin is more transparent and compliant with regulations than Monero, which prioritizes privacy and anonymity. This makes Litecoin more attractive to businesses and exchanges.
   2.  Transaction Speed and Cost: Litecoin’s 2.5-minute block time and lower transaction fees make it faster and cheaper than Monero.
   3.  Widespread Adoption and Integration: Litecoin is widely accepted by merchants, exchanges, and financial platforms, unlike Monero, which faces regulatory challenges due to its privacy features.
   

   Advantages Over Kaspa

   1.  Established History and Market Presence: Since 2011, Litecoin has built a strong market presence and a large user community, unlike the newer Kaspa.
   2.  Proven Security and Stability: Litecoin’s security is well-proven, while Kaspa’s newer GHOSTDAG protocol lacks the same real-world validation.
   3.  Liquidity and Market Cap: Litecoin has higher liquidity and market capitalization, making it easier to trade and more attractive as a payment option.
   4.  Development and Community Support: Litecoin benefits from continuous development and strong community support, ensuring quick issue resolution and network improvements.

8. Make buying crypto throigh Proton Wallet easier

   It is great that Proton provides some options to purchase Bitcoin directly into Proton Wallet, but the user experience to do this is a nightmare if you use Proton tools to do it. I use Proton VPN and Proton Pass email aliases. I registered on Ramp using a Proton Pass email alias and somehow got my account suspended. I appealed to Ramp because I thought it might be a KYC issue, but a human being rejected my appeal and permanently banned my account. This happened in my very first attempt to purchase any Bitcoin through Ramp. The support agent could not tell me why I was suspended or banned; it was confidential and I was blocked from asking further questions. Banxa worked once for me, but recently when I try to purchase Bitcoin, it always has a server error and tells me try again later. Which I do, unsuccessfully. Lately I am resorting to buying crypto on other exchanges where I already transact, and then send the crypto from the other exchange into my Proton Wallet. This incurs more fees for me to transfer the Bitcoin around, instead of buying it in one place and storing it immediately in my Proton Wallet. The one time Banxa worked for me, it was very smooth. But now I simply cannot purchase Bitcoin through Proton Wallet because the partner exchanges make it incredibly difficult to do so with Proton tools.

   I am not sure what the right answer is here, but Proton Wallet needs to make the crypto onboarding experience better if it is going to have any chance with non-tech people. I subscribe to a Proton plan for my family, who are not tech people. They have adopted other Proton tools and services seamlessly, but I would be intimidated to introduce them to Proton Wallet because of this difficulty in purchasing crypto through Proton Wallet.

11. Post mortem legacy

    Given the amount of money that can be stored in the wallets, the capability to nominate people with the right to access a wallet would be interesting.
    Digital Wealth transmission is not anticipated and there shall be a way, in a legal procedure, to secure the transmission to inheritants.

    For example, in Interactive Brokers platform, that type of functionality is fully endorsed, and I can name as many people as I want to be given access to my assets.

    Private Banking for those who seek a way to keep money secure. Proton credit card can make it easy to access and trade money. Best yet is to grant the money to anybody to take over when I cannot. Maybe a trading account option, no risky trades, proton approved stocks only.

16. Support BitcoinCash

    I currently use Mullvad, a VPN that accepts three cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin, Monero, and BitcoinCash.

    My proposal suggests adding XMR and BCH to both Proton Wallet and the accepted payment methods for Protonmail.

    Both of these currencies are extremely reliable, basically free to use, and easily made private with one being opt-in. BTC doesn't have any of these qualities in any shape or form without losing custody or experiencing extreme friction.

    Be more like Mullvad, or simply be smart. What use is a wallet if you can't transact?

    GNU Taler is an open source payment system that allows users to make private payments using a compatible app. I suggest Proton consider adding Taler support to Proton Wallet as it would enable fiat currency payments in a way that would draw less scrutiny from regulators.
