Automatic reconnection is not a good idea for me because it involves changing the IP while browsing, which can be detected as malicious on certain sites and cut the game.
On the other hand, a notification that offers a server change to the user seems like an excellent idea to me! -

Introducing Docs in Proton Drive – collaborative document editing that’s actually private: https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive
With Docs you can:
- Write with privacy — Create and edit documents within Proton Drive, knowing your contents are only accessible to you and those you choose to share with.
- Share and invite anyone — Invite other users to view or edit your documents with a single click.
- Collaborate in real-time — Changes are reflected immediately, ensuring every contributor always sees the most up-to-date version.
- View cursors and presence indicators — See who else is viewing or editing the document, enhancing teamwork and communication.
- Leave comments and replies — Add comments to share feedback without editing the document. Comments are visible to all collaborators, keeping everyone in the loop.
- Import and export with ease — You can upload .docx documents, edit them, and download in various formats like .docx, .txt, .md, and HTML.

I totally agree! I love Proton products, especially since their graphic redesign! All that's missing for me to finally abandon Google products is an offer consistent with the online storage market (100GB minimum), as well as a lifetime plan like Pcloud or IceDrive do.
Come on Proton, one more effort to become the reference of online services in Europe! -

Good idea, I am however not in favor of Standard Notes becoming an Obsidian. This kind of project would require quite colossal resources from the developers while it is just an app note-taking. Modernize why not, collaborate great idea, but complicate is not useful in my opinion. It's already great to have a privacy-respecting notes application, it's rare in this niche.
