This related request applies the same “approve use without revealing the secret” model to website logins and TOTP codes: Proton Pass would fill the browser after approval while never returning the credential to the AI agent.

The encrypted local-autofill channel proposed here could provide useful plumbing for an AI-safe credential broker. This related request adds verified agent identity, per-task approval, scoped grants, and the requirement that the agent receive only status—not the credential.

This complementary request moves the security boundary earlier: instead of only detecting suspicious access after an agent can retrieve plaintext, Proton Pass would broker the login so the agent never receives the credential. Canary detection and brokered autofill could work together.

Folders will be a significant building block for Proton Pass that will go beyond just helping you organize your items. Introducing folders will require some rethinking of our cryptography model, which we’re currently working on. Eventually, you’ll also be able to share folders and subfolders just like your vaults and individual items, giving you another flexible way to share access.
Folders will be available in the coming months. As well as creating vaults, you’ll be able to create dedicated folders and subfolders to organize crucial information for quick retrieval: you can organize by project, by team, by year, or whatever else you need.

This would be a strong use case for brokered credential access. Proton Pass could fill the existing password, generate and fill the replacement, and save the updated login after user approval—without exposing either password to the AI agent. I opened a related request for that security model:
