I think that a pivot from the current Proton Drive integrated document editor into the SN would be great. Standard Notes fills all of the gaps that the current online drive editor lacks. Just integration with the proton drive suite, and collaboration would make it more useful than Google Docs. Great Idea!

If you currently use ToDoist for your task management, I would make tasks there and just watch the calendar within the Proton Calendar. Their recurring feature is very helpful and I already use the app for ToDos, so it's a win-win. If you have some tasks that go on forever, it is very easy to create tasks. For me, I currently have street cleaning reminders. Hope this helps!
I think that SN may not need to over complicate things like Obsidian to "Modernize". I switched to NotesNook because Obsidian overcomplicates the note taking experience to try to deepen it. Unless you're a power user, most of the features never get used. I felt like I was spending more time working on the "taking of the notes" than the actual notes themselves. I see a lot of users bringing up collaboration, I think that's a massive thing that a Business & Personal oriented suite like Proton could benefit from most.
