Then you could perhaps go one step further and use a PRF-capable passkey as an alternative encryption method for the account or the data.

I currently have the same problem i have mail plus and want to use unlimited aliases.
I pay less if i pay for Mail+ and a "direct" simplelogin subscription than paying for Proton Unlimited.
