Hi All, I as a visionary user do thoroughly enjoy supporting Proton and its ecosystem, but one thing i think is missing is the option for more One-time payment options for the suite, while i understand this isn't financially tenable for things like Proton Drive when offered on a Product by Product basis. I think a good way for Proton to signal its strong confidence behind itself and its products is to have a limited time offer for something like a 99 year lifetime visionary plan. If proton had this plan at both a economical price while not hurting protons profit line it would allow for users to put their confidence in proton. If it was a limited to a certain amount of sales (ie 1000) , or long term subscription visionary users or even invite only, it would not cannibalize the handful of users with existing Visionary Lifetime Accounts or Proton's profit margin too significantly. I think a price of 3000 USD to 5000 USD would be a sweet spot for the pricing, as a visionary paying yearly would need to be on the plan for more than 10 years in order to break even. Preventing the transfer of these accounts would also while preventing scalping, preserve the value of the OG Visionary Users, as they would still be able to facilitate a sale via Proton.
I truly believe that Proton is something special, and many users are growing frustrated with the Subscription Model as a whole. Proton has a real opportunity to stand head and shoulders above the entire industry by proclaiming that they are part of a future were the internet is more private, secure and safe, and they want you to join them.
