    Of course they had to do that, the "AI" isn't smart enough to self-regulate, let alone hold coherent ethical doctrines amenable to customers, so rubber bands had to be put in to keep another Grok (spouting Holocaust denial or false medical advice). Frankly AI ethicists and safety engineers need like a year at least to catch up before any new models are shovelled onto us by our Big Tech overlords. Can't we have to cool parts of sci-fi instead of just the dystopia?

    I am fully onboard with team no-AI, but one thing to keep in mind is that "AI" is a marketing term for a ****** agglomeration of LLMs, image and sound generators, and so forth. Ironically video games badly need to catch up on actual AI but are just making slop games.

    With the advent of Synthetic Stupidity, greedy corporations no longer have to even design or produce anything, they just "borrow" it from the recesses of the Internet and then profit! Gatekeeping stolen resources and selling em back to us, truly peak capitalism

    I wish I had a Graphene ready phone and that CalyxOS wasn't having issues. It is really mind boggling how we were all just slowly adapted to our phones being so outside of our control. Can't even change the battery or remove the bloatware without spending a week researching how not to brick your device! Fingers crossed!
