The default attachment file size should be at least 35MB. Sending public links, as support suggest, to share is risky and even though you can password protect, you must share the password with the recipient. Secure file sharing systems require the recipient to create a user/password to retrieve the file. I know this is overhead Proton may not wish to assume which gets me back to increasing the attachment size is really the solution.
