Currently all three of these systems have feature parity; the gap is in terms of UI, and this is something that we have in our plans to close.

The current Linux GUI is difficult to use and very prone to errors and crashing. I sometimes have to hard restart my PC with the power button because ProtonVPN has crashed and even the System Monitor or software restart cannot kill the program. Please bring the features available on other platforms and standardize the app. I am on the verge of switching to a different program entirely because of the horrible Linux app UX.
The lack of this feature seems like a critical oversight. This is fundamental for the alias service.
Edit: After reading some of the other comments, I tested how this works myself. If I send an email to my own alias, and reply to that email directly, it shows my main address as I am sending the email, but it *does* send through the alias.
*HOWEVER*, if I reply and change the recipient, or if I forward it, that uses my main address and is not sent through the alias.
@Proton, this feature is very opaque and could really use clarification. If we could simply select whether to send via alias or not, just like selecting which address we want to use, this would alleviate the confusion. Please look into this.
