What was the old contacts app like? Maybe describe the specific funtionality you want. I think this is what I want too (a dedicated "app" within the web app to see only contacts) but I'm not sure so don't vote.

When mousing-over an email it would be good to present the "Move to" button in additon to the existing unread, trash, archive and snooze buttons. I move all emails that I want to keep into their relevant folder so I am forever having to click to select, and then click to Move To. It's clumsy.

100%. Only having Contacts as a side bar in Mail is terrible UX. It's both pointless and inefficient. Contacts should appear as a separate application alongside Mail and Calendar in the web app. I wish I realised before I bought in because it's a deal breaker for me. I'm going to find a different platform for my Mail and Contacts because I cna't use it like this. I've got to work through thousands of Contacts and coming from Google Contacts this is a terrible interface.
