1. Consistent search bar

   On iPhone or iPad, when you want to redirect a mail to a folder, a new window appears. However, unlike Apple mail, there is no search box.
   It's tedious to scroll through all the folders until you find and select the one you want.
   It would be interesting to see this search box appear in every window that opens on all proton services

2. Multi-Recipient Email Forwarding with Optional Acceptance for ProtonMail Aliases

3. Better Command Palette

   As a heavy keyboard user I was happy to see you have a command palette via ⌘ + K. Only to be disappointed by it's small feature set.

   Would be nice to have more actions inside the command palette:

   • Move message to folder
   • Label message
   • Go to folder

   And anything else that you can currently do via a shortcute or via UI.

4. Android app: show all copied emails by default in replies

   In the new Android app (which is great, btw), when I click "Reply All" to an email, by default it only shows the "To" field. "Cc" and "Bcc" are hidden by default, which is fine...unless there are recipients hidden on the Cc line. Right now if you Reply All to an email there is no indication at all on the draft screen that others are on copy unless you click the little arrow to expand the Cc options. This can (and has already, for me) create situations where you might send an email without noticing there are additional people on the recipient list...potentially very awkward/dangerous.

   Would be much better if the Android app does what the web app does and shows a "Cc" section on the recipient line - you can't see much unless you expand it, but at least there is a visual queue that there are other people who will receive this email unless you remove them.

6. Automatic reset of the search bar

   It would be nice if the search bar automatically reset when you click on a folder after a search.
   Or to have the choice of automatic reset.
   Most of the time, you have to delete the word manually from the search bar to view the contents of a selected folder.

7. Add gesture support to ProtonMail Desktop App for improved navigation and usability

   The ProtonMail desktop application currently lacks support for touchpad gestures. Adding basic gesture functionality, similar to what is available in the ProtonMail web interface, would provide a nice quality-of-life improvement for users with gesture-enabled touchpads.

   For expample, adding a two-finger swipe gesture to go back to the inbox view from an open email. This would allow users to seamlessly navigate between individual emails and their inbox without having to reach for navigation buttons.

   I believe this would be a relatively straightforward feature to implement that would meaningfully enhance the usability and feel of the ProtonMail desktop app for many users.

9. Single interface for all linked accounts

   As a user I want to have an ability to view my multiple inboxes in a single interface.
   Currently I have to navigate to another page, switch accounts and then only view 1 inbox of that chosen account. This is very inconvenient.

   Also, I have a paid subscription but only 1 inbox sees that. Other linked accounts appear like they're on a free plan and are constantly suggesting to upgrade. This is irrelevant and simply annoying. Link between my acounts needs to be esablished and they should share the attributes.

10. Don't show number of Snoozed emails

    Displaying a count on the Snooze folder is contradictory to the purpose of a Snooze folder.

    1) The purpose of snoozing an email is so that it clears (currently) unnecessary clutter from the interface and from the mind. The count however is constantly reminding use of stuff we want to (temporarily) forget.

    2) The purpose of a count is to make sure we don't overlook a mail. This is achieved with a snoozed email by it reappearing in the inbox - there's no need for a second mechanism.

    Fwiw, personally I think most folders should have counts (e.g., spam and drafts) because they prevent things being overlooked. But Snooze is an exception because it is purpose is to allow something to be overlooked for a period.

11. Option to not receive forwarded emails in Proton Mail inbox.

    If I have an alias email that forwards to a different email account, I don't necessarily want copies of that email to display in my Proton inbox. There should be an option to not have a copy of the email for that alias in the primary Proton inbox.

    The mobile Mail app supports multiple users without relogging in. It would be very helpful if this feature existed on Win /MacOS as well. I have multiple domains under multiple users and this is less efficient than the Google version that I transferred from

14. Improve Self-Destruct

    Self-Destruct function is a great feature but is some space for improvements.

    1. Self destruct in 7 days (please allow us to change this default value according to preference (for example "Self destruct in 27 days", etc...). in other words, allow us to set a value for the default destruction period.

    2. Option to set a Global Self-Destruction for all incoming mails.

    3. Option to set Self-Destruction for particular folders which to overwrite the Global Self-Destruction setting.

    4. In contacts application add a field where we can set a Self-Destruct period for all mails received from that contact email address/addresses which to overwrite all Global and folder Self-destruct settings.

    5. Also in contacts application add a field where we can set an Expiration period for all mails sent to that contact email address/addresses.

    Self-Destruct function is a great feature but is some space for improvements.

15. e-discovery and legal hold

    Please add the ability to archive all email messages with e-discovery or legal hold capability. Regulated businesses need to be able to retrieve any emails, even deleted ones, from employees if regulators or legal discovery requires it. Need to be able to search, isolate, retrieve, export requested emails timely. Global Relay does this as a bolt one service but not for Proton. In the interest of privacy and security would Proton please provide for Business organizations.

16. Encrypted mail with alias and answer / forward.

    Unless I am mistaken when we send an encrypted email the final recipients will be able to see our true email on the web page showing the email even if we use an alias. Similarly when we answer or forward our encrypted email no encryption will be apply by deafult.
    It is a real pity that we cannot (i) hide our true email with alioas and (ii) answer that will will not accidently forward/answer an initially encrypted email in clear.

18. filter rules to block sender while moving to spam

    There is currently no way to concurrently block users while moving to spam folder. Being able to have filter rules to both move and block a sender is important - especially valuable when pairing with a catch-all address.

20. Make 'Official' label visible

    Just moved from folders to labels.

    The Proton Official emails are labeled but there is no way to pull these up conveniently. Thus I've kept my Proton folder and associated filter

    Would be nice to have it optionally display in my label list / be searchable at the very least.
