2. Multiple filter options

   When you create or update a filter, allow having more than one entry. For example if you want mail from ebay and you don't want to create multiple filter rules, you can add ebay.com/ebay.ca/.ebay/@ebay/ to one instead of @ebay then another with .ebay . They would be separated with a / or , -.

3. Indicator for Mail in Subfolders

   I use Folders to sort between two different email address at the moment, for lack of any better solution within Proton at this time.

   Having my 'Primary' Folder collapsed means I cannot see that there is Mail within a subfolder, having a +1 or '+[x]' Icon on the folder next to the usual unread-mail count such as 24 [+2] or something.

   This would allow me (and others that use a similar folder structure to me, Primary->Important->Utilities or something) to target the correct folders quickly instead of using the all mail folder, which may have many other emails the user does not want to look for.

   I hope this is a nice and simple thing to add, thank you.

4. Customize Side Panel in Mail

   I would very much like to hide a couple of the elements in the Proton Mail side panel. I would like to be able to hide "Views" and "Folders" as I don't use them and they just take up space.
   At the very least, it would be nice to have the option of moving them to the bottom so the Labels element (which I use a lot) is higher in the left panel.

5. Customize Proton web mail client toolbar

   Currently in the toolbar you can; mark unread, trash, move, label, and filter.
   With an additional click you can; archive, move to spam, print, etc.
   It would be nice to be able to customize that toolbar and maybe even add more icons, there is plenty of blank space in the bar to add several more icons.

6. Add flags to outgoing email messages

   Apply Labels to outgoing email messages.
   I'm sending an email to myself - its a reminder to do something later.
   It would be useful if I could apply a Label to the message when I create and send it.

8. Proton Mail row view: preview pane, and default goes to next message

   When viewing emails with row view, I have two suggestions
   - It would be useful to have a preview pane in row view mode.
   - After processing an email the window goes back to the main page, so I need to click on the next message. It would be better if by default the next message was displayed instead, or at least to have an option to choose

9. Broader timezone-compatability in Calendar

   I routinely get calendar-invites that can't get imported into Proton Calendar because of some error in the timezone-encoding.
   To import it i have to save the .ics-file, open it in Outlook and then manually enter it into Proton..

11. ability to invite others to event of which you are not the organizer

    Example: my friend invites me to dinner and i would like to forward the proton calendar event to my partner. however, as i am not the event organizer, this is currently not possible. all other larger email and calendar provider incl outlook and gmail allow for this basic functionality.

12. Automatic deletion of emails for specific labels after a certain amount of time

    I need to schedule automatic deletion of emails (like for instance emails older than 30 days, 3 months, etc.) when having a specific label.
    The reason is that I receive on a daily basis 100 to 200 automated emails that I need to store for some time, but I would like to have them deleted after a certain period of time, instead of doing it manually.

14. Ability to pre-select (via contact info) the email identity to use when composing an email to each specific contact.

    Ability to designate within each contact a specific email identity to use when composing an email to that contact. The pre-selected "from" account should populate into the address window in accordance with contact-specific selections. When conflicts arise while composing an email to multiple parties, launch a dismissable pop-up warning. Undesignated outgoing accounts for contacts will continue to use the default outgoing account.

17. Allow text formatting in emails on the phone app

    There are no options for formatting text in emails I'm writing in the phone app version of Proton Mail. This is crazy. How is this not a thing? My top asks are: bold, italic, underline, different font colors and highlights, bullets and numbering.

18. Optimize the speed of displaying events when opening Calendar or next screen on Android

    I use a widget and I have an exception set for battery optimization, but it takes longer than 2-3 seconds to display the calendar.

19. Increase filter / rule limit to 200

    Change filter / rule limit from 100 to 200. Will help organize inboxes, apply labels, move messages to folders, etc. Using rules for multiple scenarios eventually becomes impractical to manage.

20. Preserve Reverse Alias When Forwarding Your Own Sent Messages

    When an email is sent via a reverse alias, forwarding that same message (e.g., to add a missed recipient) reveals the sender’s real Proton Mail address instead of the alias. Users must manually edit the forwarded message to hide their real address, which is easy to forget and defeats the privacy purpose of reverse aliases.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Create a reverse alias (e.g., alias@protonmail.com).
    2. Compose and send an email to Recipient A using that alias.
    3. Realize you omitted Recipient B and click Forward on the sent message.
    4. In the compose window, add Recipient B and send.
    5. The forwarded email’s From/Reply‑To header now shows your primary Proton Mail address, not the alias.

    Expected Behavior:

    When forwarding a message that you originally sent using a reverse alias, the forwarded email should automatically retain the alias in the From/Reply‑To fields, keeping your real address hidden without any extra effort.
    Suggested Solution:

    • Automatic Alias Retention for Forwarded Sent Mail
    • Detect that the message being forwarded originated from a reverse alias.

    • When the user forwards that message, pre‑populate the From and Reply‑To fields with the original alias.
      Show a non‑intrusive indicator (e.g., “Forwarding using reverse alias”) so the user knows the alias is being used.
      Optional User Preference (under Settings → Aliases → Forwarding)
      “Preserve reverse alias when forwarding my own sent messages” (ON by default).

    • Allow advanced users to disable the behavior if they intentionally want the real address shown.
