2. Hide today in calendar widget when there are no events

   Don't show today in the calendar widget if there are no events. It's just a waste of vertical space. It shows today's date and the message "no upcoming events today". My calendar widget is only one days worth of events tall. I want to see the next upcoming event even if it is a few days from now.

4. ProtonMail mobile app allow attachments from other apps

   As of today, it's only possible to source attachments from:

   • my photo library
   • take new picture
   • import from...

   None of these options allows me to choose from an app on my Android mobile phone. I would for example like to source pictures from my Synology Photos app.

5. Proton Mail and Calendar Bridge for iOS

   My work HIPAA compliant encrypted email through Microsoft exchange works with apple's mail and calendar apps, so I don't necessarily understand why that couldn't be the same for Proton, especially if it just works through a device management profile like how desktop proton bridge works for the apple mail app.

   I am not asking this because I think there's something inherently wrong with the Proton mobile apps, I am asking because I would like one app where I can view all of my inboxes together (same for calendar). I personally have my personal proton mail inboxes as well as Microsoft exchange inboxes for work and for school, and a lesser used iCloud email address, and a google account created with my proton mail email so that family who uses Google Calendar can share their google calendars with me without having to make their calendars public. I prefer the apple mail and calendar apps because they allow me to view all of these calendars and inboxes together, regrettably except my proton mail account.

6. Feature Request: Respect DMARC "p=reject" Policy for Custom Domains

   I'm writing to suggest an improvement to Proton Mail's handling of DMARC policies. Currently, when an incoming email fails DMARC validation for a domain with a p=reject policy, Proton Mail always delivers it to the Spam folder instead of rejecting it at the SMTP level.

   While I understand this "soft" approach prevents legit mail loss due to misconfiguration (as permitted by RFC 7489 Section 6), it also diminishes the security value of a "Reject" policy for domain owners who want to strictly prevent spoofing.

   Proposed Phased Implementation:

   Phase 1 (Internal Custom Domains): Exclusively allow Proton Mail Custom Domain From Addresses to apply their DMARC Reject Policy (if applicable). Since these users manage their own DNS records, they expect higher security standards. By rejecting failed emails at the gateway, you can provide them with the precise protection they've configured.

   Benefit: This minimizes the impact on general "mailing list" senders while significantly boosting security for Proton's paid users.

   Phase 2 (Advanced): Provide a toggle in one of the settings page allowing the paid users (or all users) to opt-in to "Strict DMARC Reject Policy Enforcement."

   Why this matters: True DMARC rejection prevents sensitive "Business Email Compromise" (BEC) attacks from ever reaching the user's mailbox. Forcing these into the Spam folder still leaves the user vulnerable to social engineering if they check their Junk mail.

   As a privacy and security-focused service, Proton Mail should be the ideal platform to lead the way in honoring domain owners' explicit security intents.

8. Select all mails after search - proton mail app

   I want to clean my mailbox. So I am searching mail’s from eg info@news.com and want to select all this messages and move them to a folder or delete them. But it’s not possible on iOS mail app. I have to click on every single mail … would save a lot of time! Thank you!

9. Edit public holidays

   Please consider allowing one to edit public holidays that are imported for a particular country, e.g. delete a regional public holiday that is not relevant to the user because they live in a different part of the country. Currently you cannot delete any public holidays. It will help to reduce calendar clutter. Thank you for considering!

10. Mail and Calendar view both simultaneously. /ProtonMail-desktop.deb

    Find it inefficient to constantly switch between Mail and Calendar within the same window when need to view both simultaneously.
    ie. you can't have distinct, separate windows for Mail and Calendar open at once. I guess its not suited to multi monitor setup ATM.

11. Option to have the week start on Sunday

    People who work shift work, like I do, often have weekly schedules that start on sunday. Adding the option to have the week start on Sunday instead of forcing monday would benefit folks like me. It's currently not possible to have biweekly recurring events that are accurate to my shift schedule in Proton calendar because of this without making biweekly repeating events for each of my workdays.

12. Native "Free/Busy" Website Embed (Bypassing Google)

    Dear Proton Team,

    I am a dedicated Proton user relying on your services for privacy. However, I am facing a major hurdle in using Proton Calendar for my business workflow.

    The Problem: I need to display my availability to clients on my website (e.g., Wix, WordPress). Currently, there is no native way to do this. The only workaround is sharing an ICS link to Google Calendar and embedding that. This fails for two reasons:

    Sync Latency: Google updates subscribed calendars very slowly (up to 24 hours delay), leading to double bookings.

    Permission Conflicts: Google treats subscribed Proton calendars as "read-only" and blocks the public embedding of these "guest" calendars due to privacy settings I cannot change.

    The Request: Please introduce a Native Public Embed Feature.

    Function: Generate a secure HTML iframe code directly within Proton Calendar.

    Privacy: This view should strictly show "Free/Busy" status, stripping all titles, descriptions, and locations server-side before rendering.

    Benefit: This would allow professionals to display real-time availability on their websites while keeping their data within the Proton ecosystem, removing the need for Google entirely.

    This feature would be a game-changer for freelancers and consultants who prioritize privacy.

13. Move calendar events

    I know this is an option on the web version but on the IOS/mobile apps we NEED to be able to drag and drop events without having to open them and reselect the date or time. This is a critical feature for any functioning calendar app in my opinion.

14. Sub-domains for Custom Domains

    Kind of shocking this facility doesn't exist already, but even if only 3 top-level domains are allowed, sub-domains of those 3 TLD's need to be allowed as well. Not happy this isn't an available feature having just signed up for Family.

16. No default address or variable default address

    Currently, we are required to have a default email address. I have multiple email addresses in my account and use them for different purposes. But, when I open an email it automatically puts the default email address. If that is not the address I want to use, I have to change it. The problem is that it is easy to forget to change it and then I end up sending the email from the wrong address. I propose 2 solutions.

    1. Allow the user to have no default email. This would require the user to always pick an address when composing an email and avoid accidentally using the default address.
    2. I have my email segregated into different folders. So, all the emails coming or going from a particular address are in a single folder. When I am in that folder and I hit reply, it goes from the email address already used in that email. But, when I click on compose a new email, my brain expects it to know that I am in a particular alias email, but it just uses the default. Allow a way to set different default addresses for different folders.

18. Language options for spellchecking in ProtonMail

    I speak multiple languages. My protonmail apps are in english, but I send emails in multiple languages. I would like to have a simple spell/grammar checker that detects which langage I am typing in, and offers corrections not only for english.

20. Customize Side Panel in Mail

    I would very much like to hide a couple of the elements in the Proton Mail side panel. I would like to be able to hide "Views" and "Folders" as I don't use them and they just take up space.
    At the very least, it would be nice to have the option of moving them to the bottom so the Labels element (which I use a lot) is higher in the left panel.
