1. Shorten name of Calendar to Proton Cal to clean up iPhone home screen

   Superficial I know, but the long name just looks messy on the iPhone home screen underneath the app the letter get bunched up comparing to other apps.

   Better to shorten to something like Proton Cal so it looks clean

2. Add keyboard shortcut to enlarge text (accessability)

   In the mail program, we can use "ctrl -" to decrease the size of of not just email text, but of the program itself. As a user with visual impairments, when I do this accidentally (thinking of programs that allow me to enlarge the text again, I am usually doing this to take a screenshot of a long email) I am forced to uninstall the program and reinstall it to be able to read any text

   this is inaccessable and really must be changed, regardless of how many people care about it

3. Proton Mail Desktop - Addition Jumplist (Windows 10/11)

   Many apps have a Jumplist that pops up when you right click the application on your taskbar. Is it possible to add a jumplist to the desktop client too?
   I suggest adding these buttons on the jumplist:
   Mark all as read
   Create new E-Mail
   add a new calendar entry
   shortcuts to Proton VPN and Calendar

4. Standalone Calendar subscription

   3 Calendars are not enough but I I have an existing Mail that I don't want to switch. An Cheap option only for the Calender Premium options would be nice. Or more Free Calendars. 4 would already help a lot, since holidays already count as one.

5. Make past-dates more visually evident on Calendar

   When viewing the month grid, the only indicator that a day is in the past is the absence of the “current‑day” blue circle and any past even that is slightly greyed out. All past days share the same background grid color as future days, so it takes a quick visual scan to locate today’s date and to distinguish past dates from upcoming ones.

   Would be nice to add a subtle background shading (e.g., a light gray overlay) to every day‑cell whose date is earlier than the current and future days. This would make past days instantly recognizable at a glance, reduce the cognitive load when locating today’s date and keep the UI clean—use a low‑contrast shade so existing event colors remain readable.

   Maybe this could be added under the Appareance setting, as every use may have a different preference, so they can select how past-days grid background should look, etc.

7. Add anti screenshot/screenshare option with Windows DRM flag

   Hello, I use the Signal app on Windows and I can't take screenshots of it because of their privacy protection, which prevents any Windows DRM from interfering with the app, including AI Recall.

   Is it possible to add this same protection to Proton apps, as an option that can be enabled for those who still want to take screenshots?

   Perhaps you could take inspiration from Signal's work and DRM management on Windows.

10. Make the 'Today" indicator in the View by Month grid more visible

    The current "Today" indicator on the view by month grid, just a thin purple line around the date, is very feeble and difficult to spot. Make it more visible by filling with a bright colour or making it 'jiggle' a few times when the Today button is pressed, to draw attention to it.

11. Use other email providers from Proton mail

    Currently it's only possible to forward my Google mail (gmail) to proton, but there's no option to send from Proton as Gmail. My request is a new option to be added, where I can login from other email providers, like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and use them natively on Proton, without forwarding the mail

12. Make Proton Mail PEC/REM compatible

    Following PEC, the Posta elettronica certificata in Italy and Switzerland, Europe will introduce the REM (Registered Electronic E-mail) . It would be nice if Proton could offer a extra service reinforcing its position as "secure" email.

13. move to folder - button focus for keyboard nav

    In the web interface, I can navigate labels via the keyboard, set them, then just hit enter and it will focus the button and apply them.

    When moving a mail to another folder I can navigage which folder to move to with the keyboard, but hitting enter does not focus on the button and I need to reach for the mouse.

    Auto focus for keyboard navigation in the same way as the label popup would be nice to have.

14. Add searchable unencrypted text via user input button or link

    Problem, Emails can only be searched by the subject or the fixed header info neither of which can be altered by the user on incoming mail. We all know this isnt sufficient for many searches, but also understand the end to end encryption challenges.

    Simple Solution, Id propose a single button or link on each email received or created that pops up a field where the user can type or paste in text meant to be searchable. That would be a quick fix for being able to find important emails, and of course the user would have to understand that data would not be stored encrypted any more than the subject line is now, at least not under their private key, but maybe under a proton known key so it can be searched but still reasonably secure from compromise.

    Maybe not for the uber paranoid user, but for the average person and business user not fearing a subpoena release of this content it would be a very useful feature.
    Just an easy way to quickly cut and paste a paragraph, add an account number etc. to be more quickly found later. I would use this on many more important emails that don't have reasonably descriptive and searchable subject lines.

16. WebUI - Fastmail vs ProtonMail

    I've tested Fastmail webmail and the response time of the website outpaces ProtonMail in the thousands. My ProtonMail experience lately (web) is being somewhat sluggish.
    Tested on Vivaldi, Edge and Firefox, same results.

    Not sure if I'm the only one but can this be improved?

17. Messages sent via Forward Rule have no sent logs to review

    As an Unlimited user I'm unable to see any way to review logs of what's been sent. I am an Unlimited user, but it sounds like I need an additional premium Mail subscription for this functionality. This seems like very basic functionality that should be included for the price of Unlimited.

18. Open Individual Email Without Closing All Notifications

    If I get ten emails, and only want to open one right now, let me open a single email and leave the remaining notifications untouched. Currently, opening ANY protonmail email closes ALL notifications - this is extremely frustrating, especially when managing email accounts for multiple domains.

20. Standardize

    Standardize the look and feel of INBOX, DRAFT, SEND, ARCHIVE, STARRED and TRASH icons across all devices. Take some time to design icons that are more attractive and appealing.

    The icons that I am talking about are the ones that appear when there is no emails in the applicable mail box.
