  3. option to disable spam folder in protonmail bridge

The spam folder may contain infected attachement. I like to be able to not get this folder on my desktop. An options to disable the spam folder can help to prevent this vector of infection.
    Thanks :)

  4. Import events found in emails from ProtonMail to ProtonCalendar

The previous version of ProtonMail had an interesting feature that displayed the details of an event when the email had an ICS file attached (like the ones sent by Meetup).
I'm quite surprised it has been removed from the new ProtonMail, as it could be a good way to import the attached events into ProtonCalendar like we can do from Gmail to Google Calendar.

  5. Allow Protonmail app to be setup as an ios14 default mail client

With the new guidelines apple set forth for default email client on the new ios14, would protonmail be capable of being the default client?

Would love to have this as a thing.

  6. Security - auto lock out of ProtonMail with timer limit.

In the browser when using ProtonMail, it'd be nice to have a timer that auto log-out or locks the access to the mail system after a predefined amount of time - also linked to Sleep status of the computer / smartphone system. This would limit accidental access to the mail system even if there's access to the physical hardware (=computer / smartphone).

  7. Reminder to encrypt mail to non protonmail users

Sometimes when sending email to non protonmail users, you forget to encrypt them. Especially when you end up having a conversation with many replies, if you type a quick response it's very easy to forget to set the encryption password for outside users.

It would be very useful to have a setting to alert me if I'm trying to send an outside mail without encryption, similar to what happens if you forget to type the recipient, or a title. It could be for all outside mail, or just for the case when you are replying to a conversation that started…

  8. VPN builtin into Protonmail Bridge

I'm paid user, and I can't have "always-on" ProtonVPN on my computer, but on the other side, I would like to have Proton mail in my favorite email client always updated.
To solve this issue, it would be great if you add a feature to establish a VPN connection within ProtonMail Bridge

  9. Allow the use of other email addresses within the ProtonMail app with a unified Inbox

Implement an option to use other emails (i.e. Gmail, Outlook) within the ProtonMail app to have one unified Inbox, allowing users to send normal emails through those addresses whilst still having encryption available for ProtonMail addresses (this is a convenience thing)

  10. make protonmail faster

    Search is slow
Deleting multiple (15+) emails is slow
    Emptying the trash is slow

This service is so slow that I'd rather just let the NSA read my email

I have a wordpress email account. I just want to be able to forward that mail into protonmail. It seems possible with gmail - why not other providers?

  12. Customizable ProtonMail Bridge IMAP & SMTP server passwords

I am using Thunderbird as email client in combination with ProntonMail Bridge. I am syncing the Thunderbird profile (which does not only contain all emails but also all settings) between different devices. ProtonMail Bridge IMAP & SMTP server passwords will be different between multiple devices as these are randomly generated. The synced Thunderbird profile therefore can only be used on one device and always needs to be adapted when switching devices.

The possibility to chose the individual passwords for the IMAP & SMTP servers would be an approach to resolve this issue. With such a feature each device…

I logon to ProtonMail several times a day, and each time I receive a notification of this on my phone. I do not need this notification and would like to have the possibility to switch it off.

  14. When sending an encrypted email to a NON Protonmail address, some indication that it was sent encrypted

When sending an encrypted email from a Protonmail account to a NON Protonmail address, it would be good to have some indication in the Sent folder that it was sent in an encrypted state.

  15. App selector within ProtonMail

I am unsure if this presently exists, but I think it would be beneficial to have the calendar and the contacts open in individual tabs so one could easily switch between the applications of mail, calendar and contacts without having to close the other tab.

With the new ProtonMail, you can easily switch between your ProtonMail, Proton Calendar and Proton Drive using the app switcher. The contacts widget is also easily accessible within ProtonMail. Give this a try at mail.protonmail.com today.

  16. Leveraging ProtonPass & Signal to Facilitate Non-ProtonMail Recipients Password Management

    PROBLEM:
When sending “Encrypted Emails to Non-Proton Recipients” … it is cumbersome to have to “manually manage” the “Shared Secrets / Passwords” for each recipient … in particular if you are communicating with multiple recipients repeatedly.

In addition … it requires communicating the password through a secure encrypted channel … normally I use “Signal”.

    FEATURE REQUEST:
Add an additional field in “ProtonPass” for documenting email recipients and their shared secret for encrypted communications within ProtonMail. You could integrate ProtonPass with ProtonMail such that it detects that you are sending an encrypted email to a Non-ProtonMail recipient … and prompts…

  18. Password Protected ProtonMail Bridge

ProntonMail Bridge needs to be protected by password. As anyone who uses the pc, can easily see the mailbox username and password in the bridge. Unless the user remember to logout from the bridge properly each time after used, else the bridge will remember the login credential forever. This is a serious security loophole. Especially for those who share their pc.

  19. Remove non optional advertising meterial "sent using protonmail" for paid users

Please remove non optional advertising material "sent using protonmail" for paid users. We keep removing it but it keeps coming back time to time. Its understandable to force this on free users but not on paid users.

  20. Share a Protonmail address/identity with another Protonmail account

I have multiple email identities (of the 15 available) set up in the unlimited subscription and my partner also has an unlimited subscription.

I currently have a “house” email address set up to handle all our important home accounts/subscriptions etc, which it set to forward to my partners email address so we both receive the incoming emails.

Is it already possible (or could it be added as a feature) for us to share this email address between our proton mail accounts?

This would be hugely helpful, we could then have a “joint email account” where we could both access within…
