When having several proton-email address, sorting received email according to proton-email addresses
Dear all,
When having several proton-email addresses, it would be great to sort received emails by the user's proton-email addresses.
So far, all emails received in proton-mail box fall into the same windows, regardless of the proton-email address used by senders. By having sub-windows in proton-mail box, users will know which of his proton-email addresses are been used or are without activities.

It would be great to be able to scroll continuously though the Calendar. It offers a better overview of your events especially if you have to deal with tasks that may take weeks.

Apple Calandar Support
Would there be any chances with the development of the calendar feature to be integrated with Apple's calendar app? It would be nice to see my Proton calendar events show in the Apple calendar together with my other calendars.

Sync Calender & Contacts beween Protonmail and Nextcloud
I am a dedicated Nexcloud user (encrypted, 2FA secured & setup on my own private VPS) and I am using Nextcloud to sync contacts and calender between different devices and clients: Android, Linux, MacOs, Thunderbird. It would be very nice if there was a way to setup sync between my Nextcloud and my Protonmail account as well. Until this can happen I will not use the Protonmail calender (too much effort).
Only because it is necessary I manually update my contacts between my Protonmail account and my Nextcloud. This is a bit of a hassle though...

Most recent emails at the top of thread, not bottom. I've already missed several because it goes to the oldest mail in the thread.
Most recent emails at the top of thread, not bottom. I've already missed several because it goes to the oldest mail in the thread.
There's no setting for this. Other emails give most recent at the top.
Also, having my name on a thread when I have replied to someone is confusing. I didn't send the received message, my contact did, but I can't see who it was on threads of similar names.
I'm finding the inbox rather clunky.
I'd like to be a long term user of protonmail, but you need to improve its functionality before I'd do that.72 votes -
Don't save empty email as draft
When you close email composer, without writing anything, it should not prompt a box to ask if the (empty) email should be saved as draft.

Layout where multiple tags are seen at once
Currently there is no layout where all (or at least multiple) tags could be seen at once. There is always a single tag clearly displayed with others stacked behind it, which hinders visibility and thus (for me) greatly reduces productivity and organisation of my inbox.

Folders in the Inbox, and rules to direct the e-mails to the right folder.
Having folders is alright - but I would like to have folders under the "Inbox", where I can funnel e-mails to by some rules. G-mail is actually pretty good at figuring out what are new mails, promotions and updates. Albeit, I don't expect this type of machine-learning-based filtering any time soon from ProtonMail, so I would like to setup folders that sort of simulate that - because I generally know what is what.
So this request is for:
- Let there be sub-folders in the Inbox
- Let there be rules, that can direct certain e-mails to certain folders.

Advanced search by selecting one or more labels and folders
Expand search on filters
- allow to search a label and a folder
- allow to search a label and/or a label and/or a label
- allow to search (a label and/or a label) and a folder
Then I can look for different aspects of the same directory.

Support JMAP
Supporting the JMAP protocol (https://jmap.io/) would be great. It aims at replacing IMAP and is much more efficient. FastMail is already using it.

Allow shared addresses within an organization
I would love to be able to share email addresses within an organization. Like have an "all@custom-domain.com" that sends to multiple people within the group. (Fastmail has this)
It would be nice, for example, to have the catch-all email address delivered to multiple users' inboxes.

Shared inbox
Non-personal, shared (aka functional) mailboxes are commonplace in businesses - a central mailbox for a particular purpose accessible by multiple users. A similar need is also common for personal use (e.g. each spouse has their own personal mailbox, but also have a shared address for things like bills or school notifications)
1) Best option would be to allow an address to be created and assigned to multiple users within a ProtonMail Organization. That avoids forwarding of emails and also avoids having to log out of one ProtonMail user and then log into another user in order to check the shared…
