1. Add flags to outgoing email messages

   Apply Labels to outgoing email messages.
   I'm sending an email to myself - its a reminder to do something later.
   It would be useful if I could apply a Label to the message when I create and send it.

   Sync currently only happens once every ~4 hours. Please reduce this to 15 minutes or less!

3. Proton Mail row view: preview pane, and default goes to next message

   When viewing emails with row view, I have two suggestions
   - It would be useful to have a preview pane in row view mode.
   - After processing an email the window goes back to the main page, so I need to click on the next message. It would be better if by default the next message was displayed instead, or at least to have an option to choose

4. Broader timezone-compatability in Calendar

   I routinely get calendar-invites that can't get imported into Proton Calendar because of some error in the timezone-encoding.
   To import it i have to save the .ics-file, open it in Outlook and then manually enter it into Proton..

5. Scribe assistant for mobile

   I had an idea that Proton Mail could bring ProtonScribe into the iOS app as well. Ideally, it could even run natively on the newest Apple devices to take advantage of their performance. For users with relatively new and powerful hardware, there could be an option to enable this feature locally, so the assistant runs on-device rather than relying only on cloud processing. At the same time, older or less powerful devices could continue using Proton’s secure servers, just like the Windows app does, ensuring accessibility for everyone.

7. ability to invite others to event of which you are not the organizer

   Example: my friend invites me to dinner and i would like to forward the proton calendar event to my partner. however, as i am not the event organizer, this is currently not possible. all other larger email and calendar provider incl outlook and gmail allow for this basic functionality.

8. Automatic deletion of emails for specific labels after a certain amount of time

   I need to schedule automatic deletion of emails (like for instance emails older than 30 days, 3 months, etc.) when having a specific label.
   The reason is that I receive on a daily basis 100 to 200 automated emails that I need to store for some time, but I would like to have them deleted after a certain period of time, instead of doing it manually.

11. hexadecimal

    Hello everyone,

    Here's a suggestion for improving Proton Calendar: add the ability to choose colors for different calendars using hexadecimal codes, similar to Google Calendar.
    This would provide virtually endless possibilities. When you have many calendars (e.g., work, personal, sports), you quickly run out of colors.
    Being able to choose your exact color with a hexadecimal code would be a plus.

14. Preserve Reverse Alias When Forwarding Your Own Sent Messages

    When an email is sent via a reverse alias, forwarding that same message (e.g., to add a missed recipient) reveals the sender’s real Proton Mail address instead of the alias. Users must manually edit the forwarded message to hide their real address, which is easy to forget and defeats the privacy purpose of reverse aliases.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Create a reverse alias (e.g., alias@protonmail.com).
    2. Compose and send an email to Recipient A using that alias.
    3. Realize you omitted Recipient B and click Forward on the sent message.
    4. In the compose window, add Recipient B and send.
    5. The forwarded email’s From/Reply‑To header now shows your primary Proton Mail address, not the alias.

    Expected Behavior:

    When forwarding a message that you originally sent using a reverse alias, the forwarded email should automatically retain the alias in the From/Reply‑To fields, keeping your real address hidden without any extra effort.
    Suggested Solution:

    • Automatic Alias Retention for Forwarded Sent Mail
    • Detect that the message being forwarded originated from a reverse alias.

    • When the user forwards that message, pre‑populate the From and Reply‑To fields with the original alias.
      Show a non‑intrusive indicator (e.g., “Forwarding using reverse alias”) so the user knows the alias is being used.
      Optional User Preference (under Settings → Aliases → Forwarding)
      “Preserve reverse alias when forwarding my own sent messages” (ON by default).

    • Allow advanced users to disable the behavior if they intentionally want the real address shown.

15. User Defined Event Type

    One could set an event type i.e.: gym session, romantic date, friend date, etc.
    Then, set color scheme, time allotted, reminder schedule for each event type

    When setting up a new event, a dropdown of user defined event types, click on event type and just change the date and title!

    Seems simple, no?

    I’d like to suggest an improvement to the autoresponder feature in Proton Mail. Currently, it works globally for the entire mailbox, but it would be very useful to have the option to set an autoresponder only for specific email addresses or aliases.

    Example use cases:

    different aliases serve different purposes (e.g. work, projects, newsletters) and require separate automatic replies,

    ability to enable an autoresponder only for selected contacts,

    greater flexibility when managing aliases and custom domains.

    This functionality would significantly improve the convenience of using Proton Mail and make it easier to manage email in a professional way.

18. macOS Translate right-click

    Hi,

    A quick-win for the Proton Mail macOS app would be to add the standard macOS "Translate" action on right-click. It would be super appreciated as right now it's a nightmare to copy/paste into a separate translation engine; and it's standard behavior on a macOS app.

    As a note, even if technically different, it is already the case on Proton Mail for iOS.

20. delete previous recurring events

    it is great that we are able to delete "current & future" or "all" events.

    As many would have transferred their old calendars to PC there will be many " old events" included.

    It woulld be nice, not essential, to have an extra choice "Delete Previous Events".
