  2. Support Rich Text Formatting in the Mobile App

Allow users to paste text into the mobile email composer while preserving its existing formatting instead of always converting it to plain text.

It would also be useful to have basic formatting controls directly in the mobile composer, such as bold, italic, underline, links, and lists.

  3. Add a searchable central employee directory for Proton Business

Proton Business should provide a central organization directory containing all users and shared addresses within the organization.

Currently, employees must know a colleague’s exact email address because the composer does not reliably search and suggest users from the business organization. This makes internal communication unnecessarily difficult, particularly for larger teams.

    Please allow users to:
    * Search colleagues by name, email address, department, role, or team while composing an email.
    * Receive autocomplete suggestions from the organization directory.
    * Browse a central employee directory in Proton Contacts.
    * View shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and group addresses.
    * Control which profile information…

  4. Add a unified inbox for multiple Proton Mail accounts

Proton Mail supports multiple accounts, but users must switch accounts each time they want to check another inbox. This makes managing multiple personal, business, or family accounts unnecessarily cumbersome.

Please add multi-account mailbox management similar to Apple Mail and other modern email clients. Users should be able to:
    * View messages from all signed-in Proton accounts in a unified inbox.
    * Open each account or mailbox separately when needed.
    * See combined unread counts and notifications.
    * Search across all connected accounts.
    * Choose which accounts and folders appear in the unified view.
    * Send and reply using the appropriate…

  5. Option to use ISO 8601 date format in "Original Message" timestamps

When the language is set to English, the date format for "Original Message" timestamps sent is MM/dd/yy. This could be confusing for the reader without context if the day is 12 or lower. There should be an option to use yyyy-MM-dd (ISO 8601, with 4-digit year) for these timestamps.

  6. Chose calendar for shared events

When an event is shared with us, it is treated as an event of our default calendar and this cannot be changed. We should be able to associate these events to any of our own calendars.

  7. Disable mobile notifications for secondary account

I have two Proton accounts, a private one and a work one, and on my mobile app there I can either get notifications for both accounts or none. It would be very convenient to be able to adjust the settings to receive notifications for one of the two.

  8. Every Folder Should Have Timer to Delete What's Inside

The times being what they are, having my entire life stored in ProtonMail seems overly risky, even though I don't distrust ProtonMail's privacy features and policies. I mean, that's why I'm here, instead of GMail.

At the same time, there IS mail I would like to keep permanently, there is other mail that will obsolete itself (airline reservations), and still other mail that is good for a certain period but gets stale (topical research).

Each of these use cases can be handled by making a timer for auto-deletion available for each folder (including All Mail).

    Ideally--

    1) delete with local…

  9. One-time view / "Burn after reading" for password-protected emails

Add an option to password-protected emails that automatically deletes the content immediately after the first view. The link would become invalid once opened, preventing forwarded access even if the password is shared.

Currently, anyone with the link + password can open the email until expiration. There is no single-use mode.

A simple checkbox in the encryption settings ("Delete after first view") would close this gap and eliminate the need for third-party tools like OneTimeSecret.

  12. Out of Office exceptions

Feature Request: Exceptions for Out-of-Office Replies

Proton Mail currently allows users to enable an Out-of-Office auto-reply, but there is no option to define exceptions.

I would like to see the ability to exclude specific email addresses, domains, or groups from receiving the automatic reply.

Ideally, this could also distinguish between internal and external senders, so that an Out-of-Office reply can be sent only to external contacts while colleagues within the organisation are excluded.

This would make the Out-of-Office functionality much more flexible and better suited for professional use.

Additionally, this could provide a security and privacy benefit, as users…

  13. Proper iCloud (vCard) contact import

At the moment, the vCard-based import isn’t working very well: after importing, fields such as “HOMEprefINTERNET” appear in the contacts instead of the "home email". Or "CELLprefVOICE" instead of "mobile". I’d like to see a 100% import option where the labels for each piece of data are displayed correctly.

  14. Bridge loses connection

Bridge is a great compromise to use Proton with Outlook on Windows and Mac, but ... I have Outlook set to autostart on a reboot (as well as Proton Bridge) and often Outlook will start first so when it tries to connect to Bridge it fails and sulks so I have to go through the "sign in" loop of finding the password and re-connecting.

Can you either make Bridge quicker to startup so it can do the initial handshake even if it's not yet connected to the upstream server or give us a way to control the order

I’d like an out-of-the-box option to create an email filter based on words found in the email body, without needing to use Sieve filters.

  17. Better Notification and Calendar Controls for Proton Mail

One improvement I’d really like to see is better control over notifications and automatic actions. For example, users could have more granular settings for which calendar events or emails can trigger alerts, along with an easy temporary “snooze” option. A smoother connection between Mail and Calendar would also make it easier to turn an email into a reminder or calendar event without leaving the message.

I also think a cleaner way to manage links and important information from emails would improve the overall experience. I work with website content at https://thekfcmenu.com/, so I especially appreciate tools that make it…

  18. Proofread Feature: Display diff compared with original draft

Current Experience with Proton Mail Web Client:
    - I formulate an email
    - i wanna have it proofread, to avoid mistakes, while not wishing for AI to correct anything but spelling mistakes or grammar issues
    - I use the proofread button, Proton Mail displays a changed version of my original mail. I cant see my original draft at this point.
    - The only way to compare the drafts (to ensure AI hasnt done anything unexpected), is to do some manual copy pasting and comparing. Doing so feels clunky and not like a productivity improvement at all.
    - usually i end…

  19. iOS: Remind users to open Proton Calendar regularly to restore notification reliability

On iOS, Proton Calendar is treated like any other third-party app by the operating system. When the app hasn't been opened for a period of time, iOS puts it into a background state that prevents it from sending notifications for scheduled calendar events. This causes users to miss important reminders without any indication that something is wrong.

Implement a "wake-up" reminder notification similar to what Trakt.tv does for their app. If Proton Calendar detects it hasn't been opened in a while, send a push notification prompting users to open the app to continue receiving calendar notifications reliably.

  20. iOS 27 Siri AI Integration

Proton Mail/Drive/Calendar should support Siri AI integration with this fall's release of iOS and macOS 27. Having thoroughly researched Apple's new Foundation models and AI architecture, its clear that they are prioritizing use of on-device models for the vast majority of requests and only going to Private Cloud Compute (PCC) if needed (in which data is deleted right away after the request is fulfilled). You can independently verify Apple's PCC claims here https://security.apple.com/documentation/private-cloud-compute/verifiabletransparency.

Having tested these AI features myself, they make my life significantly easier with being able to find the things I need just by asking or typing…
