Quick kill switch toggle in the Proton VPN GTK app tray menu
It is already possible to add custom VPN connections to the tray in the Proton VPN GTK app.
I think there should also be an option to quickly toggle on the kill switch (both standard and advanced) in the tray.

Share VPN connection limit with others by reducing my limit
ONLY BUG, she is needing 2 VPN connections and would love to pay the 5$ per month straight up but does not get even an extra one from free to 5$ so she will wait for a while
Maybe make it so that the people on the full Unlimited plans could transfer one or 2 of their connections to others to help convert them into paying customers more quickly

Add Custom DNS linux app
Hello,
A feature that essential for me in a VPN is the Custom DNS setting ( with DNS-over-HTTPS or IPV6 to use whith NextDNS ) but this features only exist in the windows version of ProtonVpn. It would be great if we could have the same feature.1 vote -

Use icon tray to display fundamentals datas about the connection
Use icone tray to display fundamentals datas about the connection e.g:
A motif under the connection state (red/green) circle to indicate if the KillSwith is On.
And if i move the mouse over the icone, Proton display a pop up small window that list some pertinents parameters use by the connection (P2P, Country, Speed, Tor...) because display "ProtonVPN Tray"... I already know it!1 vote -
Linux: SSH tunnel to a server, then OpenVPN through this tunnel
Raw OpenVPN is often blocked. So one simple option would be to start an SSH tunnel to the VPN server port 443 or 80 or 53 like this:
ssh -N -D 127.0.0.1:10000 -oUserKnownHostsFile=<you provide> -p 443 <username>@<vpn_host_IP> &
then
sudo openvpn location.protonvpn.tcp.ovpn
ovpn config would contain setting:
socks-proxy 127.0.0.1:10000This costs nothing but ROI is tremendous: all users of operators where OpenVPN protocol is blocked will be yours.

Not all, but lots of programs have a tooltip on mouseover on the dock / taskbar.
For ProtonVPN I had the wish of being informed on mouseover: "Connected to AB-CD#99".

Improve screen reader support
As a screen reader user it can be fairly tricky tabbing around the interface to get access to all the various sections and areas of the app such as viewing the server list by country. You can get most things done through Windows command prompt which is excellent but for most people it would make life so much easier if screen reader accessability was taken into consideration during development of the app. For that reason I find it quick and simple grabbing server configs from my account using either Openvpn or Wireguard for windows as the interfaces and menues in…

Keyring program support on Linux
On Linux, the dbus-system allows the use of other keyring-programs, e.g. KeePassXC.
Proton-VPN only accepts Gnome-Keyring or KWallet.
As Proton-Mail Bridge already works fine with KeePassXC, it should be possible for ProtonVPN to use the same tool.
