1. Latency display

   When you click on a country, the list of servers for that country appears. The only thing missing is the latency you are getting from that server. For example, I click Estonia, I see all the Estonian servers. Right next to each Estonian server, there would be a number telling you what ping you're getting, like 150ms. I think this feature would be a useful one to add because choosing a faster connection would be easier if you could see the latency. Also, with this ping, for the box that shows your internet speed over a time period of 60 seconds, it should also show you your ping. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

2. Please officially support Linux Mint with fully featured Gui app

   You can sort of use it on Mint, but lose a lot of features. It's great that you support so many distros, but consider Mint as a leading distro.

3. Add setting "allow LAN connected" for linux

   Please add the setting to "allow LAN connections" for Linux while connected to vpn. Turning the vpn off to use the printer is no fun.

4. Option to manually sort Profiles

   Add the option to sort profiles, I dont like to create a new profile and it goes to the bottom of the list when I want it next to a similar one.

5. Proton VPN’s kill-switch isn’t Direct-Boot aware on GrapheneOS

   On GrapheneOS, the updater runs before first unlock (BFU) to grab security patches, but Proton VPN’s kill-switch isn’t Direct-Boot aware. Enabling it brings up the VPN UI BFU, yet no network ever connects, so updates fail until you unlock the device.

   Repro:

   Install Proton VPN on GrapheneOS (e.g. Pixel 6 Pro 2025.05.15)

   Turn on kill-switch

   Reboot and stay at lock screen

   Watch the BFU updater time out for lack of network

   Impact:
   Devices miss critical patches until next unlock, extending exposure to exploits.

   Fix:
   • Mark the VPN service as android:directBootAware="true" in AndroidManifest.xml
   • Move its config/certs into Device-Protected Storage for BFU access

6. Xray-core(dpi bypass protocol, in authoritarian countries)

   We suggest considering Xray-core as an alternative to current VPN protocols. Due to the expanding list of countries using internet censorship. Xray, as a successor to V2Ray, promises significant improvements: higher performance due to an optimized core, support for modern protocols (VLESS, Trojan) and advanced traffic obfuscation (XTLS), which is critical for bypassing DPI and ensuring reliable access.

8. Auto shutdown when phone put in airplane mode

   I would love for the VPN to automatically stop trying to connect when I place my phone in airplane mode and also have it auto connect when I take my phone out of airplane mode.

   While in airplane mode (with no WiFi services, such as on a flight) the application keeps attempting to connect to a server. This significantly drains my battery, unless I remember to manually disconnect it after toggling airplane mode on.

10. Linux app for arm64 GUI and CLI

    Hello, like many users, I use a low-power ARM64 machine for P2P downloads via Torrent. The problem is that there isn't a Linux ARM64 application yet, which prevents me from setting up the Port Forwarding as explained in the guides, since I have to use it through WireGuard instead of the official app.Is this release planned? Thanks.

11. Dedicated IPv6 Addresses

    IPv6 addresses are practically unlimited, unlike IPv4 addresses. Could we please get the option for free dedicated IPv6 addresses?

    What I'd like to see:
    - Option to use shared (currently available) or dedicated IPv6 address
    - Per Wireguard profile
    - Open incoming ports - let us host a public web server if we want to!

    Bonus:
    - Ability to regenerate the address, e.g. in the Proton VPN desktop app or the web portal for Wireguard configs.
    - DHCP-PD for routers. I don't know if any are supporting it today.

12. ProtonVPN Pass-through and LAN Access

    The OpenVPN app allows users to select specific apps that don't get tunneled as well as having an option to "Bypass VPN for local networks." I have several peer to peer apps that use the local network to connect to my computer.

13. Add Favorite Servers feature

    I'm using chrome extension. I have a list of frequently used servers. I like to bookmark them for quick access.

    ATTENTION: I am a new user with 3 years subscription. I would have had hard time without this feature. So I will get my money back if this feature is missing. Say with me, you will implement it, and when it's done.

14. Split tunneling, select which app connects through which country

    It would be great if Proton VPN split tunneling worked so that I can select which app's traffic is routed through whic country. For example, I'd like to select that Youtube goes through Moldova, Firefox through Netherlands, banking app through Germany etc. This could maybe be built into profiles as well so I can quickly set up even different split tunneling scenarios.

17. Fix Custom DNS on Linux and Windows

    Custom DNS on Linux and Windows Does not work. The custom DNS address is ignored, and DNS requests are still sent via Proton servers.

    It works on Android (although after some time it seems to revert to Proton DNS servers until I disconnect and reconnect, when it starts working again).

    This needs resolving please.

    Currently, Google Play offers the user version 5.11.94.0 (2025-06-06) for installation. At the same time, F-Droid offers version 5.11.39.1 (2025-06-11). I propose to align the versions available in these app stores.
