2. VLAN/Lan access

   It should be possible to define routes which are not routed over the VPN. So currently my wifi devices are in a dedicated vlan, if I try to connect to a different vlan then with VPN on, its not possible.

3. Integration in GL.iNET firmware

   Hi

   You already integrated Proton VPN into Vivaldi browser (wich is closed source and looks pretty shady). So can you consider integration your VPN into GL.iNET firmware?

   I will be really happy with this. And many GL.iNET customers too.

5. Show Hosting Provider Info in Server List

   Please add hosting provider info directly in the ProtonVPN app, displayed alongside the server name (e.g. PL#81 – DataCamp).

   Or even better, add categories for hosting providers, just like cities currently are, so users can quickly find all servers from a specific provider that work best with their ISP.

   For example, my ISP performance varies by provider:
   
   - Excellent with Datacamp Limited (DataPacket)
   - Decent with PV-SL-HOSTED-Warsaw-Network
   - Terrible with M247

   Currently, I have to connect to multiple servers and check my IP info to find a provider that works well, which wastes several minutes and is very annoying.

   Mullvad shows hosting provider info, but only on their website, which isn’t ideal.

   ProtonVPN should make this visible directly in-app.

   This feature would save time, improve usability, and make server selection much clearer.

6. Mock gps

   A vpn feature known usually as mock GPS.
   It would have different options such as masking your GPS location to match your vpn ip address or to a specific location.

   Such as the browser extension cloaq on desktop or the Mock GPS Location app on the Play Store.
   There is also a simple version included in Surfshark that only uses the matching option.

7. Forward More Than One port

   Currently with dynamic forwarding a single port can be forwarded for P2P connections. Sometimes more than a single port is necessary (an obfuscated port). It would be helpful if we had the ability to forward multiple ports within the GUI rather than searching for third-party solutions.

8. Netshield ad blocker - add possibility to whitelist domains/subdomains

   I need to deactivate the ad-blocker in Netshield when I visit certain websites (eg. Google Analytics). Please add the possibility to whitelist some domains/subdomains so we don't have to disable this feature.

   Option to exclude servers by city/state/country. It's no secret why many U.S. users flocked to ProtonVPN in recent users. It sucks to be automatically connected to servers in the state we're trying to get around, even if that is the fastest connection.

11. Android TV Kill Switch

    Hi,
    I am a paying user of the Proton Unlimited pachage and I am very happy with Protons VPN. However, I use an androidbox on my tv and I am missing a killswitch!
    Please add this as soon as possible because this is a real deal braker for me and I will probably switch back to Nord VPN if this is not fixed in the near future. I dont get why such an importand setting is not implemented in the android version of your VPN! I read many complaints about this issue on Reddit and people are looking at other, bettter VPN services that have this option.
    Keep up the good work and I hope you will fix this very very soon.

12. Prioritize physical servers instead of the virtual servers on countries with both

    Right now, in Indonesia we have both physical servers and virtual servers. The thing is, when u click connect to Indonesia. It will randomly choose the virtual servers instead of the physical servers. In my opinion this is a flawed logic because not only do we have more added latency. There are also a few different sites that can tell that Proton's virtual IPs are not actually from Indonesia. Not only that, having ProtonVPN prioritize physical servers means that you will also most likely have a better speed and experience overall because we wont have to worry about the quality of our ISP's international link quality.

    Yes, I can understand the issues with this logic, like what if the physical servers are all full in terms of capacity and will yield lower performance/experience to the user? for this i would also suggest that u guys add a logic where ProtonVPN will prefer physical servers (load balanced of course so u wont get a congested server), then if all of the physical servers are congested enough where they will probably yield a worse experience, then let new users connect to the virtual servers.

13. Mobile app - Allow "trust wifi network" option

    VPN Always on - for this feature, it would be nice to have a "trust wifi network" option. Like Nord VPN, you can trust a certain wifi network so when you connect to that wifi network it disconnects the VPN. When you disconnect from that network it reconnects to the VPN. You can have a list of trusted wifi networks remembered in the app.

    I would like to have the option to block some IPs or domains like X.com to prevent me from using them.
    Simple feature to NetBlock or separate.
    Exactly like Denylist in NextDNS.
    I can't set custom DNS when NetShield is enabled.

16. Feature request – Smarter Wi-Fi-based auto-connect rules on iOS

    Hello Proton team,

    First of all, thank you for Proton VPN and the whole Proton ecosystem. I’m a paying user and I really appreciate your focus on privacy and on open, well-documented security.

    I’m writing to request a feature that I believe matches a very common and “natural” use case for VPNs on mobile phones, especially on iOS.

    Current situation

    On iOS, we can use auto-connect and some Shortcuts automations, but there is no simple way to express the following behaviour:

    Automatically connect Proton VPN on any Wi-Fi network, except for a few trusted ones (for example my home Wi-Fi).

    Automatically disconnect Proton VPN when the device is no longer connected to Wi-Fi (i.e. when switching to cellular data).

    With the current options, we can approximate this behaviour using iOS Shortcuts, location-based automations, and manual workarounds, but it is fragile, complex to set up, and far from user-friendly.

    Requested feature

    It would be extremely useful to have, directly inside the Proton VPN app (or account settings), something like:

    A list of “Trusted Wi-Fi networks” (by SSID), for which:

    Option: Never auto-connect VPN on these networks

    Option: Automatically disconnect VPN when connecting to these networks

    A global rule such as:

    “Auto-connect Proton VPN on any Wi-Fi network that is not in the Trusted list.”

    “When not connected to Wi-Fi (cellular only), automatically disconnect Proton VPN (optional toggle).”

    This would perfectly match a very common pattern on mobile:

    At home (trusted Wi-Fi) → no VPN needed.

    On any other Wi-Fi (work, café, hotel, public hotspot) → VPN should automatically protect the connection.

    On cellular data → user can choose whether the VPN should remain on, but many people would prefer to turn it off automatically to save battery and data.

    Why this matters

    This behaviour feels like a “default” expectation for many privacy-conscious users on smartphones. Right now, implementing it requires:

    A good understanding of iOS Shortcuts / automation;

    Several separate automations (per location, per network, etc.);

    And even then, it still doesn’t handle “Wi-Fi disconnect” events cleanly.

    If Proton VPN could offer this directly as a first-class feature (especially on iOS, where system-level triggers are limited), it would greatly simplify the life of many users and make Proton VPN feel even more “smart” and integrated in everyday usage.

19. Add 'include mode' to the browser extension's Split Tunneling feature

    The desktop app has exclude and include modes for split tunneling, allowing you to use it as a blacklist or whitelist respectively.
    The browser extension only has the exclude mode.

    Given recent changes to the internet, selectively VPNing certain websites would be extremely helpful.
