1. Allow the ability to download multiple files without having them bundled inside of a .zip file from the web interface.

   As it stands, on the web interface, if you select multiple files to download within a folder, they automatically get bundled into a large .zip file.

   It would be nice to have an option to instead have the files queued up to be downloaded separately.

   I'm aware you can individually click download on each file, but I'd like to be able to use the checkbox to select all files in a folder and queue them up as separate downloads.

2. Would love a .gitignore-like feature for file sync

   I’d love to have a gitignore-style ignore file when syncing a folder from a computer. It would make it easy to exclude certain files or subfolders from being synced useful in cases like development folders where some content (temporary files) doesn’t need to be uploaded.

   I'm considering moving away from GitHub for my personal projects I’d prefer not to store them there anymore. But right now, I don’t have a better solution that keeps everything in sync while letting me exclude unnecessary files. That’s why a feature like this would really help.

   Apologies if this isn’t in line with the intended direction or if such a request already exists. I haven’t seen it, but thought I’d share the idea just in case.

4. Separate photos taken by camera

   Right now, after making proton drive sync all my photos from my phone, I can either view photos and screenshots, or only screenshots. There is no "only pictures taken by you" option, or at least an "everything else" option.

5. Show width and height of an image

   In Proton Drive, when opening a photo, you can't see its dimensions. You could show them for example next to the timestamp under the file name. You could additionally also add them to the info popup.

7. Export to xls loses formatting

   I have searched and cannot find other comments on this subject.
   When I download sheets to xls, I get an error when trying to open with MS Office 2024 (stand alone) and all formatting is lost: column widths, bold, etc. are all gone.
   It is time-consuming to re-do the formatting in xls - which is the format I need to send the file to others.
   I use Proton Sheet because it is a better cloud alternative but losing formatting when downloading is a HUGE problem.
   If developing a download to an open source file type (ods) is technically easier than fixing the xls download, please do that.
   As it is, xls results in a very similar file when I open in Excel as if I had downloaded a csv.

   I have searched and cannot find other comments on this subject.

8. A Shared drive for company use

   We have started to use Proton in our company next to Google. As long as it is still not fully functional in the same way we will keep things next to eachother. At least supporting the product development of Proton by having a paid subscription!

   A small step in the right direction would be to have proper Shared Drives that are 'company owned' instead of user owned. And where you can jointly keep data stored.

9. Backup on schedule

   Would be great to have an option to backup on schedule. Problem I have now is if a program does a lot of real time changes in a folder, then Proton Drive will go rampant with trying to save these changes to the cloud and often bug out because the files are in use etc.

    We have files and photos section in drive app

    Why not make an song section?

    IT would take files within specified directory and put in an player UI

    Also have hand off to remote control and sync devices, save YouTube id to import, retrieve comments and create shareable playlists with other users

    Search metadata, lyrics, track local plays for year review

    Ofc, user must own the files from CDs or whatever

14. I frequently experience issues with input not being accepted on my iPad Air and Magic Keyboard.

    I tried inputting text into Proton Sheets using an 11-inch iPad Air M2 and the official Magic Keyboard, but the following problems frequently occur:

    • Pressing the cursor keys does not move the cell.

    • When typing text with the cursor in a cell, the typed text is not entered into the cell (the typed text does not appear anywhere on the screen, and there is no response whatsoever).

    The conditions under which these problems occur are unclear. Sometimes, tapping the screen several times will allow input to be accepted, but often this does not.

    In any case, these are basic bugs, and it seems that Sheets has not been tested with a hardware keyboard. Until these are fixed, I cannot continue to use Sheets. I hope for an immediate improvement.

15. Protect photo's from deletion in album

    I'd like to delete photo's to save space, but I want to keep certain photo's. The problem is that I want to keep certain photo's as well, and currently I have to go through each single photo to decide whether I want to delete it or not.

    One way to make this easier is to protect albums. In that way I can easily delete all photo's in 'all' without worrying that those from my albums will also disappear.

16. Webinterface Uploading: Better handling of unfinished uploads / optimize overwrite option dialog window

    Currently, when an upload fails, you probably just want to restart and continue the upload. Imagine you have 300 folders with 17.000 files inside to upload and at some point the upload fails. So you are left alone with a complete file structure but with unknown file completion status.
    But if you just try to upload to the same folder structure again (overwrite), it recognizes that the folders are already there, but you only have the option to overwrite EVERYTHING, which can take a lot of time and is not what is needed in this situation. There is no option to NOT overwrite existing files with the same size. (just add the missing and uncompleted files).
    So we need something like "Overwrite only files with different file size" (and add all the missing ones)
    Could you please add such an option to the dialog window?

    Plus: In the small upload progress window, i am missing an option to retry/restart failed uploads. It often happens that the upload just stops (dont know why) and I have no option to retry the upload.
    Please add an option to restart stalled/discontinued uploads again, ideally with an option to do this with all files in the window, you do not want to do this with 17.000 files one by one...

17. Sharable links to be used in HTML tags, like img or audio

    I wanted to host my artistic art here (MP3 and PNG, as I compose and draw) to share them on my personal website. However, the shared links aren't compatible for HTML tags. Google Drive also has this issue.
