1. Better RTL Font Support in Proton Doc

   I would like to suggest a feature that could significantly improve the experience for users who write in RTL languages such as Persian and Arabic.

   Currently, the available fonts in Proton Drive do not always render Persian or Arabic text properly or aesthetically. It would be very helpful if Proton Drive could include fonts specifically designed for RTL languages to improve readability and typography.

   One excellent option is Vazirmatn [https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Vazirmatn], which is a free and open-source Persian/Arabic typeface. It has very good readability and modern design, and it is already available in tools like Google Doc. Including fonts like Vazirmatn would greatly improve the writing experience for many users in RTL language communities.

   Supporting high-quality RTL fonts would make Proton Drive more accessible and user-friendly for millions of Persian and Arabic speakers.

   Proton Drive excluded files/folders key in configuration where folders can be excluded using folder path or via using regex, current issue occurs when proton tries to sync my outlook file. response from support was that there is not currently a work around

4. Proton sheets/docs/Slides scripting

   Please add a scripting language for Proton Sheets first, then the others! Javascript would be good, at least to access the documents' catalogue like name (or sheet name for sheets, etc)

6. Categorisation and upload of photos in Proton Drive

   When uploading photos in Proton Drive from the app it would be great if the photos could get categorised in dates and not only in months. Now, I'm using another app for photo upload but I would prefer to use Proton in the future. And then it would be great if the upload could work faster in the background when the app is closed.

   Similar to Filen, be able to use to app within Apple Files, as it makes it much easier to to transfer files between the local app and the cloud drive.

8. Allow user to format zeros to look like dashes.

   It is common in other spreadsheet applications to format zeros to look like a dash. When a number of cells have formulas or entry's that equal zero, it is much easier on the eyes to see dashes.

9. Shortcut Items (symbolic link or hard link) for Proton Drive

   I'm using Google Drive along with Proton Drive and find Proton Drive missing a feature that I think is useful.

   Google Drive has a feature called 'Create shortcut', it seems creating a symbolic link (not hard link) to another location.

   The problem is when organizing my data, sometimes I see that some items should be at different locations and they're the same things.

10. Folder Sharing Permissions

    Currently for organizations using Proton Drive, only the owner of the entire Proton account has permission to share folders in proton drive with others. That makes whoever is in charge a bottleneck for people in the organization getting access to folders as the team creates them.

    I would love to see a permissions function, where others can be granted the ability to share folders.

    Currently proton offers the ability to add global admin privileges for users within an organization, but these permissions are too broad. I simply want to be able to allocate folder-sharing permissions for drive.

11. Singular folder structure (non-device specific)

    In lieu of each device having that their own separate folders, please allow us to choose how we wish to structure them.

    I wish to have the "Documents" folder always in sync & backed-up across all devices, rather then having to upload every file I modify every single time to two different locations (or more).
    It is a primitive function even on OneDrive.

13. Tool in Drive

    It would be good to have a tool (manager) in Drive that allows you to filter out duplicate documents or photos, and perhaps delete them as well. This would save a huge amount of data and also make it much more user-friendly.

15. Proton docs outline formatting fix -> make it easier to outdent fully

    Shift-tab won't move cursor to the left margin, and gets stuck at last bullet point. Backspace jumps up to the previous bullet point rather than fully bringing cursor to left margin.

    This is unlike google docs. Wastes time fixing outline formatting. I want to be able to navigate with hotkeys out of the outline / bullet form back to the far left cursor position.

    I would love for users to be able to set their default font, size et al so they see all documents that way. My workflow is: write in Obsidian > Proton Docs > Obsidian.MD for publish and archive.

18. Add Proton Drive Plus to the student discount program

    Hi Proton team,

    I'm a high school student from France, and a happy Proton user. I've migrated my entire digital life to Proton (Mail, Drive, Pass, Authenticator) and I create tutorial content on YouTube focused on console modding, so I rely heavily on Proton Drive to host and share my project files.

    However, I noticed that Proton Drive Plus is currently not included in the student discount program on Student Beans, while Mail Plus, VPN Plus, and Unlimited are. As a student on a tight budget, the full monthly price for Drive Plus is difficult to justify, and the Unlimited plan, even with the student discount, is beyond what I can afford right now.

    Adding Drive Plus to the student discount program would:

    • Make encrypted cloud storage accessible to more students who primarily need file storage
    • Encourage younger users to adopt privacy-first tools early on
    • Fill a gap in the current student offering, since students who only need storage (not VPN or Mail features) have no affordable discounted option

    I'm sure many other students would benefit from this. I'd love to see Drive Plus added to the Student Beans offers, even as a limited-time 12-month discount like the other plans.

19. Option to prevent download for files shared in proton drive

    I would love an option to prevent someone from downloading a file that I’ve shared with them in Drive. For example, a video id like someone to be able to view, but not download.
