All uploads of any kind should by accessible in My files
The way proton drive fractions everything into incompatible storage areas makes no sense. I just need a folder to store my files, synced across all devices. Depending on how I try to add files they go to:
- a photos bucket that isn't in "My files"
- a "My computer" section that seems to also not be in "My files" (and seems to split things out by device)
- ??? if I try to drag and drop them between two file explorer windows on the local machine
- "My files" if I open the web application and drag them in there (abandoning the Proton…

Automatic stripping of Metadata (EXIF, etc.) when uploading Photos
The user can choose in the upload parameters, if they wish to delete certain EXIF data at upload time.

Bug report to Proton Support: A shared Proton Doc with view-only permissions displays a blank page
There's a bug in Proton Docs: sharing a Proton Doc with view-only permissions between Proton IDs (direct email invitation, NOT via public link) shows a blank page to the recipient. The only way to view the document is to open its history. This affects both free and paid Proton accounts equally.
Additional Details:
Browsers tested: Firefox, Vivaldi, Edge, Chrome, Mulvard — same blank page result in all
Accounts tested: Multiple Proton accounts (3+ different sender and recipient accounts) — consistent issue
Reproduction steps: Switching sharing permissions from Editor to Viewer in all instances produces the same result

Extend App compatibility to older Operation Systems
It would be great if you extend the Proton Drive compatibility to older systems (like OSX 12 Monterey). I don't think it would need a significant amount of work and would benefit plenty of people (me included).

Analyze / Sort Files by Size in Proton Drive
Dear Proton Team,
I would like to request a feature that allows users to sort and filter files by size across the entire Proton Drive, not just within individual folders. Currently, it is not possible to view the size of folders or to search for large files efficiently across all folders. This feature would greatly improve the user experience by making it easier to manage storage and identify large files quickly.

"recent" files in Drive so I can access files faster than clicking through my library to get to each individual file
In the subject above--this might be able to be an option in that dropdown menu on the left side of the screen that currently just mirrors file paths.

Webpage Shortcut
I use Windows File Explorer to create webpage shortcuts in my Proton Drive folders, but these don't work when using the Proton Drive app on mobile or the web app. It would be helpful if these would work in the apps and if the apps had a function to create shortcuts on their own.

Proton Docs: use pt instead of px, or offer choice
I just tried Docs für the first time and the first thing that springs to my eye is the font size showing "px" as measurement. Being curious about this I downloaded a test doc as .docs and opened it in Word, which showed the correct size in points (e.g. 16px -> 12pt).
While I am happy that the measurement unit is no mistake and is converted correctly, I still wonder why Proton chose to go with px instead of pt while still offering the same sizes as other text editors, just using px as unit.While the average user might…

See date instead of file name
When I view a photo inside the Proton Drive gallery, I would like to see the date of the photo rather than the file name, as I find it more useful.

Single click to navigate into folders in the Proton Drive web app
Ability to navigate into Proton Drive folders in the web app using single-mouse click would be very convenient when navigating a lot of folders back and forth.

Allow the ability to download multiple files without having them bundled inside of a .zip file from the web interface.
As it stands, on the web interface, if you select multiple files to download within a folder, they automatically get bundled into a large .zip file.
It would be nice to have an option to instead have the files queued up to be downloaded separately.
I'm aware you can individually click download on each file, but I'd like to be able to use the checkbox to select all files in a folder and queue them up as separate downloads.

In iOS Proton Drive app, allow to upload more thant 10 photos at once
I use the feature professionnally a lot, always for more than 10 photos, and every time have to repeat the operation multiple times so I can upload everything that I need to. This limitation is extremely frustrating.

Peer-to-peer direct syncing of devices on a local network, like Resilio Sync and Syncthing
For each folder in Proton Drive, provide the option to sync to the Proton Drive server, to another device on the local network, or both.

Possible unintended logic which leads to conflict when sync
I've created an app which saves data to Proton Drive folder. The issue happened was:
- When repeatingly save to a file, Proton Drive fails to sync, eg. press Ctrl+S continuously
- When saving multiple files at once, happened to fail tooI guess the issue is when a file is changed, Proton uploads immediately, but instantly while Proton Drive is uploading, the file is changed, and it conflicts.
Other drives such as MEGA, Google Drive, seem to upload only after a few seconds when the file is idle.

Export to xls loses formatting
I have searched and cannot find other comments on this subject.
When I download sheets to xls, I get an error when trying to open with MS Office 2024 (stand alone) and all formatting is lost: column widths, bold, etc. are all gone.
It is time-consuming to re-do the formatting in xls - which is the format I need to send the file to others.
I use Proton Sheet because it is a better cloud alternative but losing formatting when downloading is a HUGE problem.

GoodSync compatibility
I use GoodSync to synchronise all of my important files with my pCloud account. Naively I assumed GoodSync would work with Proton Drive as well but it doesn't. Not a lot of use to me without GoodSync compatibility. Please add this feature.

Ability to Prioritize Sync
As a user of Proton Drive, I would like to prioritize files and folders above other file syncs. There are certain files that are critical to be updated as soon as possible over other sync files. For example, you have added a bunch of photos to proton drive and they are taking hours to be added to proton Drive Cloud. Suddenly you update a critical file.
