Increase files per folder limit beyond 30,000
I might be an edge case, but I regularly use Cryptomator to encrypt my local files. The problem is Cryptomator creates a large number of small files within a single folder. Needless to say, I cannot change the file structure without causing issues with Cryptomator, but I've blasted well beyond the 30,000 file limit. I'm a hair under 60,000 and I have heard of people who have far more files than I do.

Sync files from one computer to 1 or more others
I often work on data or files on my desktop, and later move to my laptop to continue working. My understanding of the current sync a folder function is that files from each computer are segregated in the cloud. There's no way to sync a folder on one computer and have that folder mirrored on another. This functionality is like SugarSync.

Remove local sync data from computer when user signs out of drive on the device
When you sign out of Proton Drive on a local computer, Mac or Windows, the synced copies of the files remain unencrypted on your local disk.
There are three simple use cases here that could be facilitated by options on the sign-out page.
- Securely remove all data from the local disk
- Encrypt the locally stored data until the user signed in again
- Leave the data as is, open and insecure - the current behaviour.
This would allow the user to choose how their data is handled when signing out.

Add a confirmation with the name of selected files/folders to delete to prevent accidental removal

If we can't have a Proton Drive app that supports MacOS v.12... :-D

Folder details and file versions
On the Folder details, can it be distinguished between Upload folder and Created folder please? If Uploaded then the size and is it possible for Folder versioning? About the file versioning it would be helpful to capture accurate logs of the versions, even if a version is deleted and by whom IF we can't get admin approval for any deletion on company or host shared drive.

Support Mermaid.js diagrams in documents
We already need proper Markdown support (https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/48615425-directly-edit-markdown-files-as-docs). Mermaid diagrams are the de facto standard on the web now too, and easy to add since they are a JavaScript library.

File Search
Filename based Search functionality within Proton Drive...
I don't necessarily mean searching for File-Content, this is difficult to achieve in a fully encrypted setting (albeit not impossible, if the indexing tool would run local or in a sand-boxed mode and the actual index database would be stored as a file on the actual encrypted proton drive account.... )
But rather just a search for file name (even partial names etc...)

Up- and Downloading Files - Functionalities: Resume Up-/Download, Integration of checksum
I have already noticed several times that the upload and download was not complete or was cancelled in between. The user is not always sufficiently informed about this situation. The upload and download must therefore be carried out several times and the user is still unsure whether the data is complete.
The upload and download process should be expanded with a function,
- that detects cancelled uploads and downloads and resumes them continuously as soon as it is possible again. Currently, the upload or download has to be restarted. The use of Proton Drive is not convenient, especially for Internet…5 votes -
We should be able to edit a file publicly
We can, now, edit a .docx file from Proton Drive. That's great! But... collaboration is, currently, only possible with registered users and that's a problem because:
- everyone doesn't have a Proton account;
- everyone doesn't want a Proton account and that's okay.
Nonetheless, we should still be able to edit a file together, just like Google Drive/Docs does it.

Adding an asynchronous "export all photos" from the Web interface
It is literally a pain to export the totality of my photos from the Web and it shouldn't be. Please consider adding a simple "export all photos" button.
Behaviour expected: the server takes asynchronously the request and sends an email when my archive is ready to download.

Proton Drive must have a COPY-PASTE option for files within the Drive itself.
Right now, there is only a "move" option.

Shared folders for Photos backup
It would be great if shared folders for Photos backup could be implemented. My wife and I take heaps of photos with our iPhones and want to sync to a single shared folder.

Docs: Insert image from proton drive
One can already insert images into a Proton Doc. But only uploads from the current computer are supported. One should also have the option to use an image that is already on proton drive.

Backup a network drive
When I attempt to use the Proton Drive Windows app, it requests that I select a folder for automatic backup to Proton Drive. However, it will not allow me to select a network drive.

Right click context menu to manage files folders and links
Add an extension that allows you to upload a file/folder directly to the cloud using the context menu and create a share link straight away.

Save attachments from proton mail directly to proton drive
I think it would be useful for mail to be able to save directly to drive. It’s a pain to have to save to files from email and then upload to drive. (IOS)
