Proton Drive Integration with Android Default Storage
I haven't yet found a way to set Proton Drive as a default storage location on Android within the "My Files" functionality which drives selectable save options for most file save actions. Obviously, Google Drive is available along with MS OneDrive, internal storage, SD storage and network storage. Having Proton Drive set here would make file management much easier on Android mobile.

Select AND view photos
Weeding out a bunch of photos is easily done be selecting multiple photos and clicking delete. Nice.
But as you are selecting, it would be really nice to be able to open a photo for viewing. Currently you cannot view a photo if any are selected.
I would very much like to be able to open a photo for viewing while having a selection, and having the selection retained while viewing the photo. Maybe even having the option to add/remove the currently viewed photo to the selection.
This would also be very helpful when selecting for an album.6 votes -
Exclude folders/files
Thank you for the desktop application, it was necessary and I am very satisfied, excellent job. On the other hand, it would be very useful to have the ability to exclude files/folders, either by selecting them or using a regular expression. For example, excluding folders like 'node_modules'.

Grammarchecker/Languagetool which one can use on Proton Drive ("LanguageTool" is blocked due to privacy, which is cool but I need an alternative on Proton Drive)

Video
Besides playing video, it’d be a big step up if the video player could play the sound that comes with it as well. Otherwise I have to download the video from Photos each time I want to re-watch it.

Sync'd sharing, not the "shared with me" division, we need to cowork on documents! also we need spreadsheets!
We need to get actual sync'd shared documents, not this bizarre retrograde division between documents im hosting locally and documents being shared with me. Nobody is used to working this way anymore and it is not strong enough to support your ambitions to become a secure office suite in its current state! We want the excellent privacy and security you offer, it helped us make the transition, but now we need you all to step up and help us stay for the life of our company!

Add a Taskbar Flyout Window in Proton Drive when clicking the App Icon on the taskbar
OneDrive has a flyout on the taskbar that shows it's sync status and settings without opening the full app. It would be great if Proton Drive offered something similar.

Proton Docs: Virtual Collection or Notebook
In the Proton Docs app, enable users to add docs to collections. A collection ...
(1) ... provides a list view of all its docs (irrespective of their actual location within the Drive folder structure), and
(2) ... can be opened and edited in a single browser tab, e.g. by displaying each doc as a page (creating something like a notebook).Use case:
I maintain individual 'Overview' documents for topics such as: bank accounts, various insurances, summer holiday each year, etc.
Obviously, these documents are in separate folders within Proton Drive (alongside related materials like invoices).

The file viewer adjustable width to fit the window to make the text more readable
When you view a .txt file in a ProtonDrive (meaning when for example someone access it via public sharing link), it is better readable if the lines are not too wide (as it is currently), but when the .txt file contains for example a code or a log entries, then the too narrow viewer makes the file very hard to read, so you end up sharing such files using different service than Proton (which is bad).
I think that the width should be adjustable and by default made wider to fit/fill whole window. I am using Firefox browser.

Edit file metadata (including photos)
Don't need much. Currently, the Photos portion of Drive doesn't have any capability beyond view photo.
I would like to be able to upload lots of photos and re-arrange them/fix metadata issues.
Primarily, Windows has taken some of my old photos I've edited/restored and made the Date Modified to today's date, when the photo date taken was 1965. But when I upload to Photos, it appears as today's date.
I should be able to easily go in and correct these mistakes.

Delete phone photos after upload
Option to delete uploaded photos from phone
Just uploading pictures is not enough if I need to check and delete the pictures by hand. There should be the option to one-click delete uploaded pictures or do that automatically after a certain time.

Download Folders or Files locally via the Proton Drive IOS App
The ability to download folders on the Proton Drive IOS app to local storage not just available offline in the Proton Drive IOS app.. Currently I have to share the folder I want and then visit the web link and then download the folder. This really gets rid of the need for the IOS app

Auto suggest name for a doc based on fist line of text in the doc.
It is a tiny nit, but a really nice feature GDoc has -- open a new doc, type int he title of the doc, click on rename, it suggests the title text as the name,

Do not rename photos
Sometimes I save my android pictures with a USB cable and sometimes with Proton Drive. When I want to be sure there is no photo forgotten I paste all the proton saved photos in my Windows folders again, but since Proton changes automatically the photos' names, it becomes a mess with many duplicates. Do you really need to change the file's name? Why not keep the original name ?

Integrate folder sharing with Proton Contacts on mobile
Current Behavior: When sharing folders or albums in Proton Drive with family members, I must manually type each email address. There's no integration with Proton Contacts, making the sharing process time-consuming and prone to errors.
Would be great to have more seamless integration between Proton Contacts and Proton Drive that would:
- Allow users to select contacts directly from their address book when sharing
- Support autocomplete functionality as users begin typing names
Even more, if Contacts would support contact groups, sharing to family members as a single group.

virtual Proton NAS
I propose a virtual NAS, hosted in Proton's data centres. It would serve as a server for different external services, in addition to ProtonDrive.
Informaniak already offers a similar service.

Add the ability to download a .protondoc document from the mobile app
Currently, in the mobile version it’s impossible to download a .protondoc file (why such an odd format in the first place?). I’m forced to go online (and even use the desktop version) to download the document. It would be great to be able to do this directly within the app.
It seems surprising that such basic features aren’t already implemented (just like the search function, which still doesn’t exist in the mobile app…).
