Modernize Standard Notes
In a market with consolidated competitors such as Obsidian, Anytype, AFFiNE, among others, it is essential that Standard Notes offers real-time collaboration features, in addition to the other editing functions of its competitors.
The dated interface is also a problem. When you look at the UI/UX of competitors, you can see how Standard Notes needs a design makeover to modernize it and get it out of that dated software look.

Partner With Duck Duck Go, Quad 9 DNS and Make Powerful Privacy Union.
Duck Duck Go , Quad 9 DnS and Proton all of these companies are all about users privacy.
It would be great to have these three companies working together. Duck Duck Go Handles the Browser, Proton handles the mail , Quad 9 handles the DNS.
I know there VPN which is good. But I don’t think Proton has a DNS yet. Partner up with Quad 9 , and Proton doesnt have broswer, partner up with Duck Duck Go.
Make one powerful privacy product with all three companies.
Thats just a dream for me. I hope this dream actually happens.

Log in to Proton Account with FIDO2 / WebAuthn ( Passkeys / Passwordless )
With the rise in account takeover, password breaches, and the complexity of managing hundreds if not thousands of account credentials and their MFA, a better solution is needed that simplifies and offer bullet-proof protection against phishing and account takeover attacks.
Many services like 1Password, Yubico/Yubikey, and Apple offer the ability to generate and securely store passkeys that can then be used to authenticate to services that support WebAuthn/FIDO2. I strongly recommend that ProtonMail, ProtonVPN, ProtonDrive, ProtonCalendar, etc. to support passwordless/passkeys in the near future to stay on top of security and ensure that its customers are properly protecting their accounts.

To Do list - secure
You could create a secure TO-DO LIST in which it would be possible to work in the same way as in Microsoft to-do list. I think that many of us have sensitive information in that letter that we don't want to share with followers.

Proton Identity (SSO IdP)
We already log into Proton's own products (including Simplelogin) by authenticating via our Proton accounts. It would be slick if the API for this was exposed, so others could use Proton as an identity provider for their own purposes. This is especially relevant for business users who want their teams on proton, to enable SSO access to other internal or 3rd party tools and platforms without having to look outside Proton, or for consumer-facing platforms that want to allow their users to log in with Proton instead of e.g. Google (blech).

Don't use Proton username when sending calendar invites
I use custom domains, partly to avoid giving any personal information to services that don't need it, and partly as an added layer of security for my Proton account. I've never (intentionally) shared my Proton username with anyone. I noticed when sending a calendar invite that it included my Proton username. Can we either get a separate field for invites, or can this be updated to use the existing user-specified display name field?

Personal Data Removal
A new service focused around removing personal data from sites like TruePeopleSearch and Whitepages. Since the whole idea of Proton is focused around privacy, I believe it would make a great addition to the current services provided by Proton. It would make it a perfect tool for new users who getting into privacy control and for current users who are serious about their privacy. Let me know what you guys think!

Upgrade email encryption for existing addresses and emails
As a long-time Proton-supporter (amongst the first users), my encryption keys for emails are rather old and somewhat not state of the art anymore (e.g. RSA 2048-bit).
The current feature to generate new keys requires me to keep the old keys for old emails intact - but I'm looking for a feature that would actually allow me to REPLACE my existing key with a more modern and secure key for ANY of my emails.
That would require all existing emails to be decrypted on the client with the existing key and encrypted with the new key/algorithm but would allow for…

Enhanced email formatting features
Proton's email formatting features are too limited for Proton to be the world's leading secure email provider.
I suggest that Proton have at look at Zoho's and Gmail's formatting suites. For example, emails look much better and are more readable when the content area is narrowed and centered on the page (needs "deep" indent feature).
Line spacing and undo features are most valuable, too. These are must have basics.

Option to collapse sidebar
The left-hand menu sidebar occupies excessive space. Could we implement a new layout feature allowing users to collapse it? This feature would function similarly to Gmail's sidebar: when the mouse hovers over the area, it expands, and when the mouse moves away, it collapses. This would improve usability and maximize screen real estate.

Crowdfund Linux parity
Run a crowdfunding campaign to put complete Linux parity on the Proton roadmap. This will allow customers and potential customers to demonstrate support more tangibly than with suggestions and votes.
It is clear from broad and specific suggestions here on UserVoice that there is customer demand for improved Linux support. I can only assume that you are lacking concrete evidence for the SIZE of the demand. This is the intended purpose of crowdfunding campaigns.
This is a specific, actionable suggestion to provide a solid business case for Linux support. It would also provide potential customers with confidence that Linux support…

Publish all Android APK to FDroid
As well as the Proton VPN APK being published to FDroid it would be helpful if all the application (Mail, Calendar, Pass, etc) APKs were posted there as well.

Please make icon's theme-able. More and more 3rd party apps already support it, Proton sticks out like a sore thumb.

Graphene Apps
It would be nice to have native versions of the apps on Graphine OS, as it's security focused too. I think the only way to install them there at the moment is in a sandboxed mode, but I haven't tried because there are a few things like password management I want to retain functionality of before I make the steps to de-google. Going through the process of flashing my phone to Graphene, only to find the Proton apps aren't able to function would stop me from going that direction for the moment.

Emergency lock out
It would be highly practical to have an option for a general or emergency lock out for Mail, Calendar, Pass and Drive related to the same account on all devices at the same.

note taking app
Hi,
I have been thinking about moving to the Proton environment as at the moment I am paying for several services as Last Pass and Nord VPN.
Said that, I am wondering if you have a plan to deploy a note taking app like "Notion" or "Evernote" .
From my experience Notion has the best features and layout and I would love to have something similar.
Thank you
