Auto-lock for all apps and platforms
I would appreciate it if all Proton apps had the auto-lock feature on all platforms.
And please include following options for the timeout:
- Custom timeout value
- Lock on system lock
- Lock when browser closed
So it would be great if we could set the Auto-lock timeout in all Proton applications on all platforms to a custom value.
Also the option to lock the app only whenever I lock the device or close the browser would be a great feature.

Separate inboxes for each email address
It would be nice to not have just one inbox for multiple email addresses - it would be nice to have a list of inboxes for each email address.

Searchable IOS calendar.
Simply put if I can’t search a calendar to find out when my last eye doctors appointment was or when my dad‘s next cardiologist appointment is, a calendar is useless to me.
I would rather use proton products than any others and I have been a long time paying supporter; but, until the iOS version becomes searchable I will continue pay to use a different calendar app also.29 votes -
Add integration to home assistant
Working with Nubu Casa, it would be really useful to get all the apps integrated securely with Home assistant. Google calendar already has an integration. The ability to fire off automations when an email arrives, an event is happening, a new file has been added to the drive or if the VPN Disconnects for example.

Become a Matrix Messaging Provider.
I think Proton would benefit by opening up a messaging app that uses the Matrix protocol. Matrix is a federated protocol (like E-Mail), and it's built in the same style as Slack.
If Proton were to become a provider, users who use it will have usernames like, "@username:proton.me", and public rooms would be something like "#public-room:proton.me" on the Matrix Network.
It's entirely open source as well, and there is a server backend built in Golang called Dendrite, which developers might find use for. The main client is Element, which again is built after slack.

Improve Proton's Open source development
Proton has two great assets, the privacy respecting side and its Open source orientation.
However, some apps/services still aren't published openly (Calendar app for Android/iOS, amongst others).
So :
1. Make all apps and services open source
2. Activate issues on repositories
3. Invite community to actively participate in the development of the ecosystem
=> Proton apps become more reliable, with faster feature development and availability and it allows for greater transparency and sense of trust from the customers and community.38 votes -
Arch Linux support
Hello,
In my eyes, Arch Linux is striding to be a Linux distribution that comes with sane defaults and lets the control in the hands of the user. While this may lead to a less secure operating system in the hands of less experienced users, this does enables it to be a viable choice when security and privacy is important.
The active community of Arch Linux is quite enormous, even when compared to giants like Ubuntu and RHEL. Many of the latest versions of mainstream packages are easy to find with pacman, while if that does not suffice, there are…

Acquire Obsidian! Would be a game changers for full privacy suite
New Documents feature really opened an opportunity for me to get away from Google and Microsoft and enjoy privacy.
Its a great start but limited. Just throwing out the idea, what if Proton acquired or partnered with Obsidian https://obsidian.md/ another privacy first organization.
This would be a game changer. Please consider.

Proton Search Engine
Instead of using Google Chrome, Edge, or Opera. If you create your own web browser and Search Engine it would lead to better privacy and ease of mind for those against Big Corporations

Personal Data Removal
A new service focused around removing personal data from sites like TruePeopleSearch and Whitepages. Since the whole idea of Proton is focused around privacy, I believe it would make a great addition to the current services provided by Proton. It would make it a perfect tool for new users who getting into privacy control and for current users who are serious about their privacy. Let me know what you guys think!

social.proton.me (Proton Social)
A "Proton Social" app/instance, something that might have come to mind once or twice.
So what should the instance be? Mastodon, as it's currently the biggest and most compatible with other Fediverse content.A key reference for this due to a similar but not same setup is Vivaldi Social's instance of Vivaldi, using Vivaldi accounts. In a similar manner, Proton Social will use Proton Accounts, but the account username is not tied to the proton account. (during sign-up, username is selected then to complete registration login to a valid proton account similar to simplelogin must be done)
However, as servers…

Managing Simplelogin aliases’s details in other Proton’s application.
It is too tired to open Simplelogin aliases to edit aliases’s details every time. So I think making it available to directly edit it on Protonapps(mail, drive, calendars, pass) will be great.

Proton Mail Plus with Pass Plus
I am a Proton Mail user paying $3.49 a month, and I would be more than happy to pay an additional $1.99 per month to add Proton Pass Plus, totalling $5.48
Proton Drive is of no use to me (I am a Linux user and there is no native client), and I also have no interest in using the VPN
Granted $5.48 a month vs $7.99 a month isn't that big of a difference, but because I'm currently on a 24 month plan that's $109.73 I would have to pay upfront for features I have no interest in using. I'd…

Proton should buy kagi.com
Kagi provides a very sophisticated web search service that is subscription-based (no ads). Since Proton is trying to become an alternative to the Google ecosystem, it could make sense for Kagi to fall within the Proton umbrella. Frankly, I find it a bit hard to justify subscribing to a search engine however if that service was part of a group of services like Proton, I'd be more in favour of subscribing to that whole bundle.

Proton OS Desktop
Proton OS will definitely revolutionize the market, we need a user friendly and modern UI like windows and also techy enough as Linux with complete privacy and security. Proton should join forces with other privacy oriented teams and work on this in long term.

Proton Video Calls
An end-to-end encrypted voice and video call service developed by Proton where users can talk to each other privately. Kind of like Google Meet, but well... You know... Private. This would greatly help a lot of users replace their reliance on Google apps. Thanks!
