Improve Proton's Open source development
Proton has two great assets, the privacy respecting side and its Open source orientation.
However, some apps/services still aren't published openly (Calendar app for Android/iOS, amongst others).
So :
1. Make all apps and services open source
2. Activate issues on repositories
3. Invite community to actively participate in the development of the ecosystem
=> Proton apps become more reliable, with faster feature development and availability and it allows for greater transparency and sense of trust from the customers and community.5 votes -

Feature preventing all Proton apps from being captured by any screen capturing software like TeamViewer or AnyDesk.

Dedicated reminders/clock app that could then add the reminders to the calendar. Like how Samsung Reminders and Samsung Calendar work.

Customize physical address fields in Contacts
I would like being able to add custom fields to the addresses of my Contacts. For example, adding a "Neighborhood" field, or changing "Region" to "State" or "Province", as different countries might have different address elements.

Request Received and delivered notification
I send many emails and often time need to know that the email was received by the recipient and that they read the email. Is the a way to do so in Proton if not it would be a very useful addition to the platform.

An app to merge other messaging apps (messenger, telegram etc.) and limit their access to our data
Proton messaging app solves only a part of a problem, as we still have to use messenger, telegram, WhatsApp etc, so having an app that would merge them all in one place and most importantly, provide the security against them accessing our data, so that we don't have to install them on our devices on their terms. A secure intermediate app that nests them all in one place.

notification area icon
I would like to see the Proton Mail desktop app sitting in the notification area (as you would see the volume control icon, clock, etc...) rather than minimized to the task bar. There, the app can periodically alert you to new messages, (including a message counter) rather than needing to open the app every few minutes.

2FA using phone number
Double authentication (2FA) using phone number. Proton pass allows you to save authentication codes, but it's risky if you get disconnected. You have to find a solution for customers who trust you and who all have their account with you... At this point, either you take the risk of being logged out and permanently losing access to your account, or you disable dual authentication, which would make your account more vulnerable, or you have to download a dual authentication app just to log in proton.... It's a bit ridiculous

Secure remote control like RustDesk / TeamViewer
Hello, perhaps Proton could offer a remote connection/control signalling server, which would ONLY make the initial connection, as in users x want to connect to user y and Proton simply give each client the connection address; and after that the Proton would disconnect and all data would be e2e between the clients themselves, not needing anymore server inbetween.
Something like TeamViewer used to be easier to use, but now requires more hassle and is less secure, with data travelling thru the tv servers.
There is RustDesk that uses the Rendezvous protocol for hole punching. Proton could use or build upon…7 votes -

As well as the Proton VPN APK being published to FDroid it would be helpful if all the application (Mail, Calendar, Pass, etc) APKs were posted there as well.

Collaborative Whiteboard Application
A whiteboard application like openboard.ch would be a great addition to Proton. I currently have several disparate projects in which we are using whiteboarding within the teams but one of the primary drawbacks is that, openboard is a local application only - they provide no collaboration services (eg, team shares one whiteboard collectively as we work) there's one owner for the board and only one can interact with the board at once. Please begin a VoIP hosting service. If ProtonMail had VoIP that I could use both on my computer and phone, then I would no longer have any use for Google and I could be done once and for all. Even though GVoice is free, it seems their active listening suggests stuff related to my texts and conversations across my devices and it is creepy. Adding contacts manually
I've just found a raft of deleted contacts still appearing in autofill fields because they didn't delete correctly or completely. This includes the details of people who have contacted me once. In the interests of privacy, client confidentiality and clutter reduction,it would be helpful to be offered a choice when emails are received as to whether the sender's details are stored or not, with a clear, permanent deletion action.

Configure spellchecker language in desktop app
In a browser, Proton Mail benefits from the browser functions to spell check. In the new Proton Mail installed application, the language cannot be configured or I do not know how to do it...
It would be very useful to be able to configure the spell checker language for people that are writing in a language that is different than the OS language used.
