Would be great to be able to edit exif data (and make file creation date that date) and search on it to get rid of this problem that all files have the upload date. In order for this to be useful though, it would need to also allow a bulk operation across multilple files. One by one for large collections is undoable.

I wanted to verify and compare uploads versus a local copy due to some changes which went wrong during an outage... and not being able to see # of files was a royal pain **********... required me to go into every directory and select all files... just to see how many were in there... took me significant extra time... not so with that storage solution I have (onedrive).

With yet another data breach, this is becoming more and more critical

With so many email hacks and addresses floating in public, it would certainly be an extra protection layer... Currently adding more addresses to Proton simply expands the attack surface... which it should not

Many people like me have both telephone photos and other photos... the disconnect between the two now is making managing photos very hard

This gets few votes so far, but I have stumbled upon the same question. Cryptpad has all the office apps we would want, with E2EE functionality... an integration would rocket launch Proton to fully compete with MSFT and Google instantly. Right now they are slowly going forward with docs, but it is going to take ages to get to the place where cryptpad already is...
That said... it seems that cryptpad is actually an Onlyoffice instance within an E2EE data wrapper... so the question should then be, if Cryptpad can create a wrapper for Onlyoffice, why can't Proton do the same for Onlyoffice or Libreoffice/Collabora?

Our PCs are all going to Linux... which is causing a substantial issue with our Drive storage... since the browser is NOT sufficient to properly maintain a local and sync-ed cloud copy of for example accounting and tax files.
We are going to start using filen.io for our more last and current year files which require active back and forth... and use Proton for now as sort of an archive.
If filen convinces and Proton Linux is not forthcoming... well, it's obvious what will happen... and then it really only is because of Proton being spread too thin and not being able to deliver the progress on the most requested features.

What I find rather strange is that smaller E2ee storage companies like Filen.io are perfectly capable to produce a Linux client. If Proton waits too long, my data will move since I am no longer willing to rely on any software that does not also support Linux. That way I can move OS as needed.

Time for all these win laptops to go to Linux. Before long it will no longer be acceptable not to offer a Linux solution.

With so many windows laptops going obsolete (our first win11 one already ends 10/24), it really is time to move on. A native Linux app is for that essential...
