ran into the same thing: when you enable port forwarding in proton vpn, NAT in games immediately goes strict, and in gta online after that it’s way harder to get into sessions and matchmaking gets worse. would be nice if port forwarding at least kept it at moderate, or if there was a separate mode with normal udp for p2p without forced “symmetric” nat. would be useful to see an official explanation of exactly which server-side settings switch this and if it’s possible to have a choice. while I was looking into this, chats and “guides” kept spamming weird links like https://cashorcrashgame.org/, https://playdragontiger.org/, and https://crazytimeonline.org/ — and that just distracts from the real nat problem. hope you fix this, because for multiplayer, port forwarding right now is having the opposite effect.

the idea of automatically picking a vpn server closer to the game server sounds useful, cuz right now when I start matches my ping jumps around while I manually try different locations. in some games the connection goes to different regions and without hints it’s not clear where it’s better to connect. I feel it especially when I switch between different browser games and tables I watch on https://megaballgame.org/ and https://dreamcatcherlive.org/ and https://dealornodealgame.org/ and after launching I have to change the vpn server to avoid lag. would be cool if the client could detect the game server’s ip and do a smooth switch without breaking the session. just need a button to turn off auto-switch, cuz during the game any reconnects sometimes break voice chat.

I support the idea: this foggy green layer in the new Proton VPN is really oppressive and distracting. It feels like the interface of old casino mini-games, where I saw similar gradients a couple of times on https://crazytimeonline.org/ and http://funkytimelive.com/ when I was catching spam banners in the feed. Please give us an option to turn off this filter or at least choose the color and transparency, because my eyes get tired. Even on https://megawheelgame.com the background is less in your face than here, and that's already weird.

I support the idea of an auto-websearch toggle in personalization: right now, relevance is often lacking, especially when the question is about lists and service availability. I asked lumo where you can play lucky jet these days, and the answer was outdated, had to manually check the info on https://playluckyjet.net/. similar story with aviamasters — checked https://play-aviamasters.com/ and saw discrepancies with what the assistant gave me. if you turn on auto-search, let it pull fresh sources itself and show where the data comes from, otherwise off-topic comments with links already pop up in discussions, happened to me with https://play-vortex-game.com/.

trueI support the idea: on Android, I don’t want to “trust Google,” but to have clear, independent data encryption on the device and app level from Proton. It would be awesome to see at least a secure container for photos, files, and backups with keys only the user has, plus transparent reports about what data goes where. On Samsung, you constantly run into permissions and background services, and it feels like you literally have to fight for your privacy. I once got emails with links like https://monopoly-live-game-in.com/ and https://teenpattilivegames.com/ and https://fantanlive.com/, and after opening them even in a regular browser, there were instant requests and background activity, which was another reminder of how aggressive the ecosystem is. Proton could at least close this hole on the level of a “private sandbox” and encryption of sensitive data without tying it to a Google account.
