1. Pinned emails in Inbox Feature!

   I see this feature request has periodically been posted all the way back to 2015. I am reposting as a brand new user migrating from Outlook. This was an Outlook feature I used every day, multiple times a day. I pin current bills and other important emails to the top of the Inbox so I do not overlook them or forget to check a folder or search for stars. By far, this would be one of the most useful and important upgrades there could be to Proton Mail. Happy to provide more details if needed. Thanks so much! PS- stars and folders serve different purposes to me and do not fulfill the "pinned email" need. Thanks.

2. Encrypt More Calendar Details

   Currently Proton Calendar does not end-to-end encrypt the Title, Colour and Description of the individual calendars inside the Proton Calendar app. I think this is a risk in regards to privacy, since with the names of the calendars and the times of the events in those calendars one can reconstruct a lot about a single person. I think it's in the interest of Proton to also end-to-end encrypt the information of the individual Calendars themselves.

3. enable reminders to be sent to phone as text messages

   As someone who needs strong, clear reminders that don't require me to remember to check my email and then have to click the currently oblique email reminders in proton, I would love to see the option to have event reminders sent to me by text message - as often as I need them.

4. Sorting by Label

   Sort by Label
   Currenty you can sort your email by subject, sender, recipient and attachment. However sorting by label really would help me out big time. I flag most of my emails by type of category and the requested actions. Sorting by outstanding actions would help me big time

6. Update calendar month name while swiping

   I suggest updating the displayed month name immediately while swiping through months in the mobile calendar. Currently, the month name only changes after the swiping stops. This makes it difficult to navigate several months ahead without counting each swipe or repeatedly stopping to check the current month.

7. "Always BCC" on Proton for iPad

   I don't see why even K-9 does this but Proton won't. Is it a privacy-related thing?

   Full explanation follows, for all it matters.

   New to Proton, I use it on several devices although my main is a desktop computer, from which I keep track of every single thing going on at my company. The desktop is obviously locked up and safe, but my mobile devices, being mobile, are with me most of the time. Should either get stolen, I wouldn't want the info on it to be way too important - which is why I don't use it as a credit card either. Stuff like that, that many Proton users probably think of sometimes since they're privacy-conscious.

   I've used Thunderbird, K-9 and Mail for a while, and I can always BCC myself when sending emails from my tablet or phone, so that I can always double check that I did send an email, even when away from the device.

   I guess SMTP is indeed a solution many can make do with; however, sometimes I don't need an email to be on my phone or tablet, but I do need it to appear on my desktop client.
   Why?
   Convenience and confidentiality.
   When I receive confidential information from clients, I immediately delete those email from my portable devices just in case I drop it or it gets stolen. But I still need to read those email on my desktop.

   So, all this mess could be at least partially solved with an "Always BCC myself" function. (The no-POP3 is still an issue but I'll address it somewhere else)

   I don't see why even K-9 does this but Proton won't. Is it a privacy-related thing?

8. Compact view

   After seeing the new layout for the Android app, it looks like a good improvement, but there is something that I think is missing: a compact view. I do not nneed to see the attachments, a clip is enough. I do not need so big labels.
   If space is used for sender and subject alone, more mails fit into the screen.

9. filter messages with calendar invite

   There are a lot of filters you can apply to messages (unread, has attachment, etc) can a filter be added for messages with calendar invites. This can be helpful when you need to join a meeting and you're trying to find that link

10. Invert Newsletter View

    I appreciate how the newsletter view concentrates the noise to one place but what would be way more helpful is a the view of all the messages that are not in the newsletter view. If either the messages in the newsletter view were excluded from the inbox or even just a new view that was the inbox sans -newsletter would be amazing. this would allow the important things wouldn't be buried in the newsletters.

11. Password rotation feature for those of us using 24+ , 64+ chars

    I propose a password rotation feature for those of us using 24+ and 64+ chars
    ASK: Partition long password and allow a specific segment to be updated

    Basic draft to contribute to CONOPS

    Preconditions: User has active authenticated session; MFA available.
    Users existing password must be 24 chars or more

    Step 1: User navigates to Proton login; TLS handshake negotiates hybrid PQ + classical key exchange.

    Step 2: User selects Password Change Special; system prompts for current password and second factor.

    Step 3: On successful re-auth, create a temporary sandbox session with no access to emails or other PII. Log entry.

    Step 4: Display password partition UI with clear labels and entropy indicator. Allow user to change one or more blocks of their password, but not the whole password.

    Step 5: Client sends proposed new blocks over PQ-TLS; server reconstructs candidate password, validates strength, and atomically replaces stored hash using Argon2id (Or read OWASP, NIST guidance).

    Step 6: Invalidate other sessions immediately and require re‑login; send notification to user; log change.

    Failure modes: On login failure, show generic warning, rate limit, and exit. On partial update failure, rollback and notify user.

    Postcondition: Password updated, audit logged, user notified, and sandbox terminated.

    OPTIONAL.
    Lock down all access to email for 12 hours starting now

    Notes: I am aware these exist:- RSA Tokens, MFA, Keywords, SSO, Federated authentication. I've not included threat modelling, precise server semantics for partitioned passwords. Over to you Proton Techs for consideration. "Is the juice worth the squeeze :-)" I'd love to learn that phrase in Swiss French too

12. Increasing Escape key navigation.

    Improve keyboard navigation with the Escape key. Two areas:

    (1) When I search for something within my mailbox, I want to hit the Esc key to go back to the inbox.

    (2) Sometimes pressing Esc doesn't "Go back". Ie, it requires me to click within the main content window. A common case of this is when I will open a message, I'll press Esc once, and it will minimize the current email. But pressing Esc a second time WILL NOT go back to the Inbox. For me to go back to the inbox, I will have to click in the area where the now-minimzed email was.

13. "Share" selected text

    In most applications on MacOs I can select text, open the context menu and choose "Share...". This allows me to send the selected text to other applications. Usecases: Translate with your favourite app, send to the shortcuts application to trigger your own workflows, ...

    Apparently this is not possible in Proton Mail for MacOs and for iOS, but it would be really helpful to implement custom actions on selected content.

15. Show event creator in shared calendars

    I use Proton Calendar on the macOS desktop app with a shared calendar. Currently, when an appointment is created in the shared calendar, I cannot easily see who created the event.

    It would be very useful if Proton Calendar showed the event creator or owner inside the event details. For example, the event could display something like:

    “Created by: [name/email address]”

    This would help shared calendar users understand who added an appointment, especially in calendars used by families, teams, or small groups where multiple people can create and edit events.

    Ideally, this information should be visible in the event details on the macOS desktop app, and preferably also across the web and mobile apps for consistency.

16. Allow the send from email field to be blank

    Allow the send-from email field to be blank, forcing me to ensure I'm sending from the right address. Suddenly sending from a different email has caused a lot of confusion for both me and the recipient. If it is an impossible programing task to let me set the email to be used for each contact, then leaving the field blank when composing would be a huge help. I want all my email in one account, so I'm not logging in multiple times.
    (note: I've updated this suggestion to reflect that it is only when beginning a new email, and not when responding.)

17. Move setting and contact options to top

    Can we have the option to display the settings/contacts/subscriition/report a problem menu items to the top above inbox and folder list. I have a lot of folders and it’s a bit annoying to have to scroll down several pages to get to my contacts

18. zoom integration with bookings

    i'm using "other location" for some of my booking pages right now, but it would be great to have zoom integrated into the booking settings. i am still using zoom bc proton meet doesn't have the same accessibility options.

20. Update Inactivity Policy

    As a Proton user who infrequently logs into their Proton account
    I want to ensure my account is not delete due to inactivity as per https://proton.me/support/inactive-accounts
    So I want Proton to modify their inactive-acount rules to IF (account inactivity > 12 months AND space used > X*) THEN delete ELSE do nothing

    *where Proton decides an publishes what the amount of space used needs to be, e.g. > 1gb
