In Gmail one can change the font of a pasted in text to match normal look of the rest of the email. Proton only lets one change the entire email to text or normal

Mac OS Client: Delete active mail in list view with backspace
I really would love to be able to delete the mail currently showing in the view panel by hitting the backspace key, as in about every other mail client.

Setting to unfold email chains
I have a lot of forum emails (which is great, I don't want to change this). But if I haven't been keeping up with the discussion, I have to individually tap on each new message in the chain to read it.
Moreover, unexpanded messages are marked as unread, but if I open the chain, then I consider that to have "read" the chain.
It would be great if new messages could be expanded by default. It's a little thing, but it's driving me wild- a setting for this behavior would be much appreciated

Please include a 2 line preview for emails.

It would be extremely important for Proton Mail to have a simultaneous translator to translate emails and, if possible, with integrated AI.

Allow the user to choose whether an e-mail is sent to the sent folder during e-mail composition.
Allow the user to choose whether an e-mail is sent to the sent folder. Some people prefer to save only certain e-mails, not all. For these users one has to find these e-mails and delete them. This becomes tedious when one could simply select not to have the e-mail saved in a Sent folder.

Different star colors
I would like to have stars in different colors to help me prioritize.

IOS App Enable colapse\expand folders\sub-folders
Currently IOS app displays all folders expanded. When you have heaps of folders this can take time scrolling through ALL folders. Would be helpful to be able to collapse all folders to root\parents and simply expand the folder struture you want rather than all folders automatically expanded at the root level.

Allow GPG keys with multiple UID/Email again
Previously users were able to upload GPG keys with multiple UID/email addresses, now it rejects the key if it detects multiple UIDs.
I don’t understand why it was changed in the first place and I really don’t want to manage multiple individual key pairs.

Make size of email easily visible and sortable in main lists.
I would like to easily see the size of all my emails in the main list and to be able to sort all my emails according to size.
I have this feature on my other Webmail servers. This allows me to quickly look for very old emails with large attachments that I may want to delete to save space on the server.
Currently in Proton Mail, I have to open each email, click on the "More" (...) menu at the top and then select "Message Details" to get this information.2 votes -
Highlight the domain in the Link Confirmation window
I suggest when a user clicks a link in an email and have the "Link Confirmation" enabled that the confirmation window highlights the actual top level domain. Many links are extremely long and some phishing/malicious emails will create links that are meant to look like they're going to a legitimate site when they're not such as http:microsoft.com.baddomain.me/login. In this case you would highlight the "baddomain.me" so the user knows they're not going to microsoft.com. It would be a simple feature to add and would help protect non-technical users. Thank you.

create new filter that only apply to inbox and not all existing emails
When I have a filter then I can apply to all existing emails. This is great but when I create a new filter then I would like to only apply to arriving new mails as well as to the so far not categorized/moved mails, so those which are still in INBOX. Would it be possible to have another possibility to apply existing mails in INBOX?

Web app notifications on mobile [Android]
Right now, I'm only using the installed web app on my Tab S9 Ultra. Right now the Android app is too unoptimized to even consider using it as default and is only installed for notifications.
Unfortunately, the installed web app on Android doesn't seem to support notifications at all like on the desktop. I enabled every setting possible but I don't receive any notifications. Please consider adding working notifications for the mobile version of the web app.
In the installed mobile web app from Outlook this feature exists already.2 votes -
Limit number of registered Proton emails allowed on paid accounts
If you have a paid account there is no limit to how many additional Proton email addresses you can register (@proton.me, @pm.me, etc).
There should be a limit so one user cannot register hundreds of good usernames just so other people cannot have them.

Full Context search improvements
I prefer to use the web-interface to proton mail rather than Bridge...
The Full Context search is a great option, but it has a few notable issues in my opinion, especially with larger mailboxes.In my case the download takes quite a while, and if I clear the browser cache this has to be re-done time again. Same goes for multiple devices, etc...
I suggest adding a setting option to the full-context search to let me define the scope of the index by: Number of days (or date) and the folders I want to include.

Prevent Proton Mail to collect (wrong) e-mail addresses
If one sends a message with Proton Mail application (Android/iOS) to a person who has a valid e-mail address with his/her name already in the Contacts, but using his/her old/wrong/obsolete e-mail domain, the e-mail address gets registered in Contacts. The e-mail itself will be returned like boomerang. From now on, Proton Mail suggests always the wrong e-mail address together with the right one when a message is addressed to this person. Depending of the order, it may go unnoticed. Also, the receiving Proton Mail application registers this wrong e-mail address in all recipients' Contacts and the error propagates.

Email feed
Where I can scroll through emails without having to open and close and open and close, etc, etc. Particularly useful for, say, newsletter stuff, which I can just go to and read once a week or something .. having them display in a Feed, a la most social media apps, etc would be a nice feature. hey.com have this option too.
