Email notification for calender events, similar to Gmail calendar.52 votes
I'm using the Calendar application and switched from Google recently.
I generally use my calendar together with my wife so that we both know when our children have to do something or when there is an activity planned or when there is a free slot which someone can book as the other one will take care of the kids.
Hence my request. Would it be possible to allow for all calendar event to be shared completely with persons you trust e.g. family.37 votes
I'm using the calendar beta for the first time today, while evaluating switching to ProtonMail from Fastmail. It's very important to me that I be able to subscribe to other calendars and calendar feeds. My Fastmail calendar aggregates calendars and feeds from Trello, Remember the Milk, and public holiday calendars.36 votes
Calendar would be more useful if...
1. could accept requests from people using google calendar directly (.ical attachment for example)
2. could add others to my calendar invites even if they don't use proton mail or calendar
3. (and more obvious) mobile app version24 votes
Allow for individual color labels for each event separate from the default Calendar color, It helps certain events stand out from others when you are looking at a calendar full of events. This is present in Google Calendar but not on Apple Calendar.21 votes
You allow for tips and monthly contributions with the Brave browser's Basic Attention Tokens, so would it be possible to actually pay for services with BATs?. It might not yet be technically possible, but just wondering.17 votes
Various other VPN providers are now supporting Wireguard. Would you consider this? (It's 10 times faster than OpenVPN on the same CPU.)4,400 votes
Add Rai (soon Nano) as a payment option. Bitcoin transactions fees are now too much, and it may take up to a few hours for a transaction to be confirmed. Unlike BTC there are NO fees for Rai, and transactions are nearly instant!10,376 votes
We plan on adding additional payment options going forward.
when I use All mail option, I can see all the emails, including spam & Trash Emails listed. Usually, When I choose All Mails, I'm not looking in Trash. Is there a way to select the folders when we choose the All Mail option? A default could be everything, the user could choose what they want to see in all emails.9 votes
Hi, I am a future owner to be of a Librem 5 mobile, it is run on pureos and im curious if you will create an app in which protonmail will work on pureos?

Supporting the JMAP protocol (https://jmap.io/) would be great. It aims at replacing IMAP and is much more efficient. FastMail is already using it.455 votes
As far back as 2018, Enigmail/Kleopatra/Thunderbird/GnuPG has been using the Memory Hole standard to include the subject line in the encrypted portion of the PGP message. ProtonMail has maintained that the use of PGP is what holds them back from encrypting the subject line, but that's not true. Enigmail puts a fake, filler subject line in the header and puts the real subject line text encrypted within the body. What's worse is ProtonMail arbitrarily blocks using Enigmail to encrypt an email with a different PGP key underneath the "normal" ProtonMail key. So not only does Proton not include this subject line feature, they go out of their way to prevent you from using it. I can literally encrypt more in Thunderbird with my Gmail account than I can with ProtonMail's Bridge. That's ridiculous. There is no reason for ProtonMail to dictate to me what I put in my emails. If I want to send a PGP-encrypted email to someone outside of ProtonMail using Thunderbird, that should be allowed. I thought the whole reason Proton gave for using PGP instead of something like Tutanota was to be more compatible with others' PGP encryption. Now they're really doing the exact opposite - worst of all worlds.
When will ProtonMail allow PGP/MIME encryption of the subject line in the same way as Enigmail? It's a huge difference between Proton and and competitors. Proton can do what Tutanota does without leaving PGP. Will ProtonMail at LEAST allow using Enigmail PGP encryption and then add Proton's encryption on top of it, if necessary, so that I can encrypt my subject line if I want? I want to stay with ProtonMail, but being four years behind on this and other things, like full encrypted search, calendar, fully encrypted contacts, etc. that Tutanota offers for a lower price makes it hard to justify. Can we at least get this part fixed? I know calendar is coming, even if the other things aren't.
Thanks for all you have done. I hope to see Proton continuing to grow - happy to be a paid supporter.

We now have calendar and contacts
It would be nice and usefull to add birthdate of contacts on calendar20 votes
These days it is very common to package applications across linux distros into flatpaks or appimages. These would be easy to manage for the ProtonVPN team and provide us with a working GUI app instead of the hard to manage cli client.41 votes
When I schedule reoccurring events in Calendar, I am only provided the option to delete the whole series of events. This means that if one event gets cancelled, I have to delete the whole series or just keep the event on my Calendar even though it has been cancelled.15 votes
Please allow the mobile apps contacts to have the ability to edit the PGP public keys of each contact. This can only be done on the web client right now.8 votes
I really miss the ability to have a tag hierarchy - a collapsible tree of tags to easily see how they are related, like:
└─ Money-For Nothing
Makes it so much easier to find the right tag when they add up...
And they always do.9 votes
The current ProtonCalendar that's in beta has one fatal flaw: no e-mail notifications.
On the desktop, that means that you need to have ProtonCalendar open at all times, as without it, you can't receive notifications.
On mobile, that means you basically never receive notifications, as there are no mobile apps (yet).
For these reasons, the lack of email notifications makes ProtonCalendar unusable for me, as I need to be reminded and informed about my events.25 votes
I use replicant operating system and not android, for evident ethical and security reasons.
I don't want to use google play, because I'm against google and don't trust them.
It will be very nice to put protonmail app in f-droid repository!232 votes
I have seen five free e-mail domains on Tutanota when you are signin up. I think Protonmail must add one or few free e-mail domains. Other than that, Protonmail is the best! No other mail provider has such good UI/UX design. Even the tech giants like Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo for example6 votes
