1. At least a colour code for different emails in inbox

   I actually don’t mind having all emails coming into the same inbox, but would beed to know/see where they are coming from easily as the email they arrived to can make a big difference.
   Like for the calendar have a colour code for inboxes which shows, as a label, dot or smtg similar (not the full line or it would become unreadable to the eye).

   Bonus: keep the colour coding as default for calendar events.
   I am mac and iphone, but seems to not be a feature at all.

2. Label before sending

   It would be very nice if we could label an originally drafted outgoing mail prior to hitting "Send." Then, I wouldn't have to click into the Sent folder after each email or at the end of the day to label my originally drafted emails.

   When utilizing your services great harm is being caused when our alternative emails that are created via the subscription plan which allows the option for multiple emails to be created are disabled whenever the subscription isn't renewed after your grace period has concluded. We as account holder's rely on your service platform for vital communications via medical, business, personal; etc. When your platform disables our created emails not the primary email because that email isn't an alias email. I'm referencing the created allowed emails that has the feature to send and receive communications only not the aliases that aren't currently allowed to send a correspondence email when utilizing the alias feature. Proton makes it about monetary gain rather than stewardship in providing services universally. Organically speaking, if the approach was to provide a quality service the disabling of communications would not have been an option of choice to use when subscription plans aren't renewed. We need to not have any of our emails disabled where we can't receive communications of any and all emails. Have where we can't send any email correspondence due to not renewing said payment for plan of choice. We need this disabling of emails due to non-payment to immediately be removed due to the harm it causes when not able to receive any communications via emails.

4. My calendars arrangement and sorting function

   The ability to re-arrange the order of My calendars in the desktop side bar/event drop down menu would be a useful quality of life change. Currently, you must deleted the calendars you have created and create new ones in the exact order you want instead of dragging and dropping the sorting, which is terrible.

5. Notification settings disappear in the iOS app

   There is a bug in the iOS version of the calendar app. If you select a preexisting notification in the event editing menu, but don't make any changes, all notifications disappear upon return to the main editing window. Steps to reproduce the bug:

   1. Enter the editing dialog of an existing event (pencil icon)
   2. If there is a preexisting notification set, click on it to edit.
   3. Exit the notifications dialog without making changes
   4. The preexisting notification setting will disappear

6. Creating events with notifications is tedious

   Some points of friction scheduling events:

   • Adding an event on month view selects by default "All day". I don't think that using month-view justifies defaulting to "all day" events. I like using calendar view just to have an oversight of the month. I never need "all day" events, so this checkbox always has to be de-selected.

   • To add a notification, it's also needed to click first on "more options", and this also opens a new popup, which is kind of disruptive. Inline experience like e.g. Apple Calendar is much smoother.

   • Default notification options: "notification 15 minutes before" and "email 15 minutes before", is a bit weird default, and to customize it's needed to change both every single time, as well as enter manually the minutes/hours and time unit. I, for example, usually add x hours before and x days befors, and it's a lot of inputs and clicks. Here again Apple Calendar seems worth giving a look, where it's possible to select options quickly. A middle ground could be to be able to save default times.

7. Allow to create more than 25 calendars

   In my situation I need more than 25 calendars. It would be nice, maybe even paying a plus if it's resources consuming.

8. Move to option improvements

   The folders can be filtered in the desktop application, but not in the iPad or iPhone application. Please offer the filter there as well.
   In addition, it would be desirable if the path were visible when filtering the folders. This would allow you to distinguish between two folders with the same name but different parent folders. Outlook does a very good job here.

9. [ProtonMail] Suggest Linked attachments instead of attachment direclty in the mail

   Hello

   I saw an article from bluemind blog which talks about linked attachments (https://blog.bluemind.net/en/feature-focus-linked-attachments/)

   Would it be possible to implement this feature on Proton mail. If the file is not originally stored on drive space it would be stored automatically on a dedicated drive folder .

   Link and file retention tuneable (for companies) would be a nice to have.

   I think that kind of feature would help reducing global carbon footprint of mails due to attachments.

10. View recipient and one-click disable alias from main inbox view

    When screening phishing emails, clicking through to detail view of an email often is too risky, even with remote content disabled. For incoming mail, would be nice to see recipient email on hover in the main inbox view (for tracing), and if the recipient email is an alias, have the option to disable that alias with one click directly in the inbox.

11. Choose any day of the week to start your week on

    I would like the ability to choose any of the 7 days of the week as the first day of the week, not just Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I think this would benefit people with flexible working patterns/commitments.

13. Show email threads as (expandable) stacks / more details in the list to the left

    Unclear if that feature has been asked for before, the search for "stacked" was negative so far "group" not exactly what I would be suggesting.

    Using the Proton client coming from Apple mail my colleagues and I struggle with (unfortunately often) large email threads with clients. We are used to be able to see grouped emails as expandable stacks being able to go directly to an email in within the stack from the overview list. Sorted from current to oldest top-down.

    Currently in proton in the (left side) list it only shows the number of emails grouped together, making it necessary to scroll down in the details (right side). Also showing (fact that there are attachments) in said list view would make it easier to find the one email that may carry an important attachment while the others just talk about that one.

    hope to have described that so it can be understood - discussions welcome ;)

14. postpone Emails in Sent Folder

    It would be great if I could postpone Emails which are in my Sent items box, like we actually are able to do with the Inbox.
    Alternatively, you may allow the transfer of a Sent Email to the Inbox and then we would be able to Postpone it.

16. Feature to log-out after a period of time

    I'm using Proton Mail in conjunction with Proton Pass. Proton Pass is a vault and forgetting the password to it can be DISASTER.

    I guess Proton should add the feature "logout after a period of time" to all apps to RETYPE password for safety coz when it's logged in always and without reentering password, a user like me may accidentally forget the password after some months or so.

    There's a current option called 'keep signed in', a checkbox during logging in, but users those use the Hibernate feature of Windows won't have this checkbox being useful coz there's no tab close, no browser close.

17. Reduce mail label and folder display

    There is no option to reduce the display of labels and folders from the side menu. If you have many folders or labels, this creates a very long menu, and on mobile devices, you have to scroll all the down to reach the settings. It would therefore be useful to be able to reduce the display via a menu and make the interface cleaner.

18. Support iCalendar RFC 5545 Recurrence Properties

    Currently, Calendar imports do not support "Events based on recurrence rules that are not supported by Proton Calendar". The current Calendar UI supports a very limited set of recurrence rules meaning imports are also limited. This significantly impacts the ability to create and/or import calendar events that use somewhat common recurrence rules not currently supported by Proton. In UserVoice, there are a number of suggestions to support various combinations of additional recurrence rules. My recommendation is to "consolidate" these into this (???) recommendation for supporting all recurrence rules defined in the iCalendar specification (RFC 5545) (see https://icalendar.org/iCalendar-RFC-5545/3-8-5-recurrence-component-properties.html).

    This recommendation could be implemented in a phased approach where imports could be implemented first to provide the desired capabilities until the UI implementations for adding/editing events can be accomplished. For this to work, I know the Calendar display would need to be modified to display these imported recurrence rules. To minimize that effort, a human-friendly text representation could easily be generated from the recurrence rule for display in the calendar. (NOTE: See an implementation example in https://www.npmjs.com/package/rrule for the 'toText()' method.)

    For the benefit of other users/voters, the recurrence properties specified in an iCalendar (RFC 5545) event include:
    * Recurrence Rule (RRULE) - The recurrence rule is used in computing the recurrence set. The current set of Proton supported recurrence rules are included in RRULE. (See the RRULE Tool at https://icalendar.org/rrule-tool.html for the RRULE possibilities).
    * Recurrence Date-Times (RDATE) - a list of specific date/date-times to include in the recurrence set.
    * Exception Date-Times (EXDATE) - a list of specific date/date-times to exclude from the recurrence set.
    Even the implementation of these recurrence properties could be implemented in a phased approach starting with the RRULE.

19. Search by name on Compose Mail window

    On new message window when writing the to address Proton only searches to give you suggestions by email address. I want to search by name (the one set in Contacts) not by email as people have a lot of times impossible to remember email addresses.

20. QR sign from web on mobile

    Proton apps allow QR sign in but it isn't available on mobile web. I don't use proton services via
    apps I just use them in mobile browser but mobile site doesn't allow QR sign in option into other devices.
    Please consider QR sign in from mobile web too it will be very convenient.
