Proton Contacts mobile app
Hellove!
Yesterday I used Google Contacts (and/or the default Huawei contacts) app on my Android phone.
Tomorrow, I will use the secure and lovely Proton Contacts app for Android (and possibly iOS - there are probably iOS users who would want this, too).
From this Proton Contacts app, I will also be able to do my regular calls, browse call logs, see favourite contacts and groups for contacts, and utilize a search function for it all.
Please strongly consider making this tomorrow today, Proton Team <3
Thank you!

As an IOS user I would like to fully integrate Proton contacts as i.e. Google can already do.
I am actually saving contacts in google account but I would like to get rid of it and move 100% in Proton. -

Not having a separate Contacts App puts Proton behind competing platforms. Mind you, most users are paying .....

While we wait for the proton contacts app, can you make the mail app read contacts from the google app?

When using the proton mail mobile app, in the the contacts app portion of the app. If you have made any new contacts, allow to import them, or a toggle could be added to allow importing of new contacts automatically.

I cannot believe this still has not happened. It seriously is the one missing piece in order to make a complete switch

That's the last service I need to enable four in my family live without iCloud and Apple ID.

Proton Team, where is Proton Contacts?
I'm sure you're proud to be a bastion of Internet privacy but a large number of your users have to leave all their personal contacts in Google or iCloud after switching to Proton. I've been a patient paying customer for 4 years now and you said this was coming *6 years ago*. Proton Mail Contacts is practically USELESS for anything other than emails! We need to be able to make it the default phone contacts app. We need to be able to hands free call and hands free navigate to our contacts without needing Google Contacts!!
Please get this app happening ASAP so your customers can complete their switch to Proton!

This is one of the only things that keep me tied to iCloud so it would be great to have.

Currently on an Android phone I:
-tap ProtonMail
-tap hamburger menu
-swipe up
-tap Contactsand get a working Contacts app.
A standalone app that would get to that data -- even if it was just some kind of shortcut going straight to the same place in ProtonMail -- would be a really useful app.
As it is, I use the built-in Android Contacts app.

This is the only app that misses and keeps me bound to Google!

I agree completely. For degoogle-fication this is realy necessary.

I would love to be able to consolidate the past piece of my data (Contacts) into the Proton world. I currently use Deja Office CRM and am very happy with it, but would prefer to have an integrated solution. I run my business using DO and the notes, histories, future alarms, etc are key to making the switch. Hope you have something working toward this kind of a solution.

Protonmail made it possible to store contact information. But it’s just not practical for use aside from email yet. I need “Hey Siri/Google, call Tim” level of integration to really degoogle. Until then I need to maintain separate contact lists manually.

Really trying to deGoogle - Proton needs a separate contacts app so its not sooo many clicks to make a phone call. Plllllleeeeaaaassseee :)

The email-calendar-contacts connection is crucial for a mail provider.
