Android parity to iOS app
Hello!
Please speed up the development of your android application. Your iOS app has features that are not in the Android app. It just seems like a shame. Could you please speed up adding anti-tracking features (tracker blocking and picture uploads with IP hiding) to the android app as well? It would also be desirable to add the toolbar customization feature as well. Please note that all these features are already available in iOS application, while there are practically no innovations in Android application. This is just a shame and shame for such a huge company.

Allow re-encrypt existing mails with a new key
I contacted support and it seems this is not available, which is a security breach.
Old accounts have as per old standards GPG 2048 keys, which are not as secure as current ECC ones and also, the key can be compromised. We can create a new key but it only works for new emails, existing ones cannot be re-encrypted with the new key.
We have heard by Proton team multiple times, even in Andy Yen's interview that Proton products are designed to be covered even if a data breach happens, as all the data is encrypted. If old mails cannot be re-encrypted with newer and more secure keys, this is only partially true, as GPG keys 2048 long are not secure enough in long term and in the future, current ECC will be became outdated as well.
If this feature is implemented in a way that the existing emails are re-encrypted with new keys and all the folder estructure and details are kept, being transparent to the user, Proton mail will increase its security a lot in long term and ensures to all the Proton users that their data will be safe as per latest standards and if a private key is compromised, all the data can be still retained securely after re-encrypt everything with a new key.

Folder and Label Organization
Folder and label organization needs to improve.
One should have the oportunity to at least sort alphabet and date added. When creating labels and folders, and when you have a lot of sub-folders it tends to get really messy and it's time consuming to try to organize this manually with drag and drop.88 votes -
Add biometrics to unlock phone app
Right now, everytime I update my Android app it logs out and I need to relogin again. It would be nice if I could use my fingerprint to unlock it instead. So this is an attempt to solve the auto-logout.

Automatically create filter based on selected email
It would be very helpful if there was an option from within the mail app where users could select a particular email and create a filter for it from there, creating the folder, defining the rule, and then running on existing mail. When creating from an email, the filter option could automatically generate some rules, like from the sender of the email you are filtering.
When I am going through my inbox and I see a particular sender is sending more mail than I prefer or it is starting to add up, it would be nice to just do it from the inbox, and keep moving through the inbox this way, rather than having two tabs open or going back and forth. If this could be done on mobile also, it would help there as well as the ability to move back and forth is tedious.

Block Addresses on Mobile
It is currently not possible to block addresses (whether in spam or not) on Android. I will assume the same is true for Apple mobile apps.
Being able to block senders on mobile would be really great so I don't need to jump over to my desktop when I put them into spam so I can block them.

Import own OpenPGP subkeys only
Allow users to import just the encryption and signing subkeys, without the OpenPGP master key.
Users can generate new subkeys just for Proton Mail. The scope of the keys becomes limited. Independent revocation becomes possible. The keys are exported to keyservers under the user's own identity. Proton Mail becomes part of the decentralized web of trust.
No impact on Proton Mail's usability. Users can still use the keys generated on the servers. Advanced users gain the option to maintain full and exclusive control over their OpenPGP identity while benefiting from Proton Mail's services.

Proton Duo with shared email inbox
It would be nice if the members of a Duo had a shared email address and inbox. Most couples need at times to communicate jointly together as a couple, either socially or for household business.
It would be even better if a Duo also included a full joint account with all features so that there is equality in the way information is shared and used.

Select all on Android
For the Android app: Add a check box to mark all e-mails at once. I want to have this ability for all folders within the ProtonMail Android app. This is to speed up the process of clearing the mailboxes.
Best regards

See the raw message or at least raw headers
Please allow an option to see the raw message in the app, especially ALL headers, including X- headers.
While Proton does what it can to help protect users, much more information is in the raw message, especially the headers. We are robbed of examining these in the mobile app. This is a SECURITY option.
This needn't be an "always on" option, simply a choice to see it as an option ad hoc on individual messages. Seeing all headers all the time is unnecessary. But on certain messages, I want to see everything I've been sent.13 votes -
Allow more than one free account in the app when signed in with a paid account
In the Protonmail mobile app, you can log in with multiple accounts at the same one, but only one of these accounts is allowed to be on the free plan, even if you have another paid account.
I understand the restriction when using only free accounts, but I already pay for my main account. I need to monitor two mailboxes of groups/organizations that I'm in. Both of them are on the free plan, which means I have to choose which one I add even though I pay for my main account.40 votes -
Automatically detect language for spell check
I write emails using both English and French. My browser has several dictionaries installed, but Proton Mail spell checker doesn't seem to know the difference.
What would be neat is if Proton Mail could recognise the typed language (as for instance MS Outlook does), and do spell check accordingly.

Different inbox for each custom email address/alias
For each custom email address/alias, a specific inbox. Or at the very least, the ability to sort emails by which email alias/address they came from.

Opt-out of product and upgrade advertisements for paying customers
The product and upgrade advertisements being pushed to paying subscribers is unacceptable. I'm paying Proton for a professional service. I expect it to work professionally.
Give paying users an opt-out of all advertisements and upgrades in the working screens of products.
