  3. Adding an application name instead of the app's location for split tunneling

give us the option to add the executable name instead adding the file location, some applications after they recieve an update the change the path to the exe file and with the current method i have to go back to protonvpn and add the application back to the list every time, if there was a way to for example tell proton to tunnel the app named "discord.exe" through vpn then after the app receives an update and changes the path i still can use the app with vpn without going through the process of adding it again

  4. Ability to set default secure core on windows

It would be great to be able to set the default connection to be random country (via secure core) or fastest country (via secure core), just like IOS when you toggle secure core on.

  5. Smart Double Kill Switch (No, this is not Secure Core)

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH SECURE CORE

The ability to have two servers, one being the “active” one and another one being a “passive” one, like for aircraft radio, allows for quick switching if one of the servers is not avaliable and also if the connection drops on one, this could be added to Kill Switch to jump immediately onto the 2nd server without any connection interruptions. So like if a server fails you jump immediately onto a 2nd without any drop in connection. Like VPN Accelerator but one server just not sending anything through

    Ideas for names: Double VPN…

  6. fully configurable through an MDM

I plan to use an MDM (42Gears) instead of traditional parental controls for my kids' devices (Android + Linux).
Could you design a version of the always-on VPN that blocks all connections without the VPN, and most importantly, is fully configurable through an MDM like 42Gears ?
    Thank you!

  7. Nevada

Please add servers back to Las Vegas. It was a huge reason why I chose proton back in 2021. Im from Nevada but work out of the state which causes all sorts of issues when browsing or trying to log into financial institutions.

  8. FIDO2 Certification

Get Proton Pass (or yourself?, I'm not sure how that works) FIDO2 certified.

I've hit a rather important login where I need to either switch to Passkeys (from their own 2FA app) or use SMS (WTF 😅). Unfortunately they only accept FIDO2 certified Passkey managers, which Proton Pass apparently is not.

  9. Different servers for different applications

In my country some mobile applications don't work with different countries' IPs. It would be nice to specify for those applications one of two options: run without VPN or run with chosen country/server. Especially it is important for applications that run in the background.

  12. Configure quick connect Proton VPN in Samsung routines

I'd like to turn on the VPN automatically when I'm outside my home wifi and turn it off when I'm home again, this should work via routines but it only lets me add a VPN if it's configured in settings and not through an app. Is there an option to get Proton VPN configured natively in the VPN settings?

  13. One-Click App Selection for VPN Split Tunneling

I am requesting an enhancement to the current split tunneling feature by introducing the ability to select applications from a dynamic list of currently running processes. The existing method requires users to manually locate and select executable files from the system directory, which can be inefficient and cumbersome. Incorporating a user-friendly interface that displays running applications—similar to NordVPN’s approach—would streamline the process and significantly improve usability, particularly for less technically inclined users.

  14. Manual Wireguard Peer Configuration

At the moment, have to use a provided secret key for Wireguard. This poses a security issue if you are wanting to use Proton VPN with an existing Wireguard interface.

I have some self-hosted apps running on a VPN protected by Wireguard. If I want to be able to connect to ProtonVPN and my self-hosted apps using the same Wireguard interface, I'd need to use a private key generated by Proton to access both on the same interface. This is both a hassle as I'd have to update all my configs for this key, and also a security risk as…

  15. Browser extensions remember recent servers / cities

It would be nice if the browser extensions remembered a few of your most recently used servers / cities and made those available as buttons that are shown when you click to open the extension. For example, Nord VPN's app has this feature directly below the blue "quick connect" button.

  16. easier way to report broken/unavailable site

Currently we are asked to fill out the entire form at https://protonvpn.com/support-form
It would be nice (likely to result in more feedback, which presumably helps techs to ID issues and fix them) if it was simpler and quicker to report a site is broken due to using Proton VPN.

  18. Add the percentage [of serve use], to log to the least busy server, in the profile column, at left.

It would be useful to add the percentage [of serve use], to log to the least busy server, in the profile column, at left. You could eliminate the country name, and the city, as it is abbreviated.
So one can see at a glance the least busy server. and log on to it.

  19. Allow some choice of where to connect .

Like I'm sure many others I feel I already have enough security with Protonmail. I need (want) a UK based VPN for about 3-4 months of the year when I am out of the country. (I've found the BBC disables attributes on their news website depending on the ISP address and this is annoying.) I use one or two email addresses at most and am already paying for Mail+ for a load of features I largely don't need. Now you want more money for access to a load more VPN features I don't need or want. Seems a bit unfair

  20. Provide an option to manually sort (change order of) "pinned" connections

First, regarding the WINDOWS client, thanks for the option to "pin" recently used locations/servers (connections). Much appreciated!

REQUEST: To improve the "pin" function on the WINDOWS client (and potentially other clients), please provide an option to manually sort (change order of) "pinned" locations/servers (connections).

Currently, on the WINDOWS client, you offer options to "unpin" and "remove" pinned connections.

In addition to "unpin" and "remove" options, I'd like to have an option to "move" where each pinned connection appears within the list of "pinned" connections. For example, upon selecting the proposed "move" option on the WINDOWS client, I hope to be…
