    Search on the web appears to only search my own files. Would be good to be able to search files that other people have shared with me.

  2. Ability to change language in the Proton Drive app for Android

    Hi, since Proton Drive was born I have already written a couple of times to develop the possibility of changing the language since it is only in English but unfortunately this has not happened. Unlike Proton Pass, which arrived a few months ago, the update happened quickly. I hope you can develop this possibility since Proton Drive has been launched more than a year ago and the language has always remained the same. Greetings

  3. More export options for documents, docx-like footers and headers.

    As it is right now, it is only possible to export documents in txt,md, html and docx. You could argue that it is possible to export to pdf using the print feature, but it is not obvious and it adds a footer and an header to the file that is not removable, nor editable in any way through proton documents.

    I'd like to see the ability to export to more file formats(primarily odt and pdf), and to have the possibility to add personalized headers and footers to the documents pages.

    The ability to duplicate or make a copy of an existing document. Great for templates that will be re-used for multiple different clients, etc.

  5. Allow friends (non Proton users) to upload files to MY drive

    Someone wants to share a large file with me in a secure way, but they do not have a Proton Drive account. I want to be able to share a WRITEABLE folder with them so they can deposit files.

  6. Non-Hierarchical Sync of multiple folders

    In one of your Swiss rivals, Tresorit, I don't have to create one single "Proton Folder to Sync" but I can define any number of folders on my computer to sync.

    I really like that system because I have no desire to let my file-sync provider determine the folder-structure on my computer (no matter if that is Google, Dropbox, Microsoft or Proton). I have my files spread over multiple hard-drives and partitions and want to sync one folder here, another one there, and group it all by topic, not by sync-status.

  7. Provide Granular Permissions for Shared Folder

    Ability to share an entire folder and control what the other party can access or view (checkmarks to toggle on an perhaps), and their permissions to edit some files and only view others.

    1- Share entire folder while...
    2- controlling what is subfolders are shared out of that folder
    3- and then of what is shared, control view/edit permissions (most applicable to subfolders as opposed to individual files)

    I want to host a OneNote notebook on Proton Drive. And is it possible to set up Proton Drive to act like OneDrive? I want to store all my documents online if possible, and OneDrive is not encrypted.

  9. Photos Backup Sort by size, cleanup features

    I like that Photos backup is a completely separate tab, and that it allows me to substitute my iCloud+ plan. However I would like to have some cleanup features, like sorting by size, duplicates, or anything that doesn't need processing that breaks the privacy.

  11. Desktop support for photos

    Hello,
    It's awesome we can now backup photos from phones, however it's not really convenient to search through all the photos (mobile and web), I wish we had an UI/UX similar to what Dropbox does.

    Also I'd love to be able to check my backed up photos from my computer (again, similar to Dropbox, just a preview from the folder, and only download if I open the photo), now I can only check from the web.

  13. Proton Doc Viewer Comments

    I would like Viewers of Proton Docs to be able to leave comments without changing anything. I don't want them directly editing everything but also don't want the document locked. It would also be nice if any changes by people other than the doc owner could be visually tracked if they have Editor privileges, like text being highlighted or in another color. I know about 10 writers would would switch to this program if there were adjustments like this.

  15. resync to folder

    The ability to sync to an existing folder.

    If I have to reinstall Proton Drive, such as when I reinstall Windows, I cant have it point to the existing folder I use for Syncing Proton Drive. I have to create a new folder, which just creates a mess and a duplication of data (and the fear of losing something). I should just be able to point to the existing sync folder, and continue on.

  16. Better Viewing Experience when Sharing Photos

    Currently, if you share a public link with photos, you only see a tiny thumbnail. Combining that with how files are selected, it makes for a confusing experience when trying to preview the photo in the browser. My suggestion is to automatically (or optionally) displays folders with photos as thumbnails instead of as a list.

  18. Empty folders status icon: Either green checkmark or not propagate to parent

    Currently, an empty folder gets a blue cloud icon, which is then inherited by the whole parent folder tree. This is misleading, as it makes all parent folders look like having a sync problem. So I'd suggest to either
    * Give empty folders a green checkmark icon or
    * Keep the blue cloud icon on the empty folder, but do not propagate it up the whole hierarchy.

  19. Proton Doc - Export to pdf - configure style

    Export function to pdf ist good, but page space ist to small. Typical is 20 .. 25 milimeter.
    Second: Fonttype for Codeblock, better is Courier, Monospace or other.

    The best way imho, confige css-style by himself.

    Export to docx is terrible.

  20. Tags to organize files several different ways in Proton Drive

    I know this idea has been posted previously. Being able to organize Files & Folders several different ways using Color Coded Tags would be a MAGNIFICENT improvement of PROTON DRIVE.
    By using tags, and the ability to use SEVERAL tags on each File and Folder, Proton Drive would become a magnificent, user friendly file storage system.

    I would amend previous suggestions by stressing the importance of being able to:
    1) Use several Tags on each File or Folder
    2) Color Code the tags
    3) Choose Custom Made Colors in addition to standard Colors, which is something that ProtonMail also could…
