  1. Tile view with shared links

    I think it would be great to give users who receive a shared link from our proton drive to be able to toggle between list view and tile view. Particularly when photos or images are involved. I often share photos through proton drive but when I test the shared link, it only allows a list view. A tile view would be much more convenient for the end user in this type of case.

  2. View files as text (regardless of file extension)

    Sometimes I have files that do not end in .txt, but I know they are basically text files. Currently I can't see their contents at all on my mobile device. For example, Emacs org-mode notes (end in ".org"). It would be nice if there was an option in the "..." menu like "View as text".

  3. Add the ability to reorder rows in a table

    I often need to change the order of items in a table, being able to drag and drop the rows to re-order would be very helpful. Currently, I have to:
    - select the whole row
    - copy or cut
    - add a new row above or below another row
    - paste
    - delete the previous row (it doesn't delete the row if you cut, it leave an empty row)

  4. saving and sharing multiple files

    currently, when selecting multiple photos, there is only a download option, which downloads the photo to proton drive but does not save them directly to the device gallery.

    it would be immensely helpful to have a " Save to gallery " option when selecting multiple photos. this feature would streamline the process and enhance the user experience by allowing us to save multiple photos directly to our device gallery with ease.

  6. Proton Docs: Prevent Editing

    Just like Standard Notes provides a "prevent editing" feature, it would be great if Proton Docs also support this feature. This prevents accidental edit for frozen documents not intended to be edited.

  7. button to resync file

    Button to resync a file

    Sometimes I'll be working on something and need it moved to the other computer. I have the folder synced, but it can take a while for proton drive to get around to uploading and then downloading the file. I want a button I can press (maybe when I right click on the file) that will sync it to the drive on the uploading computer immediately, and another button to immediately run a resync on the downloading computer to check for, and then download the new file.

  8. Machine assigment selection on first run of proton Drive

    Proton Drive should be able to recognise or atleast ask you when you install it if you want to asign the backup to an actually backed up host for restoration purposes.

    F.E: Someone needs to fully format his PC and when it does it and installs protondrive, the application asks if we want assign and restore from an existing machine backup.

    This also will prevent to bloat protondrive storage use and make it a lot more useful.

    Also we should be able to delete old machines registered.

    This feature is already on Microsoft Onedrive

  9. Open file with a third party app on mobile

    Need to just being able to open a file with a third party application.

    Tap on menu file, choosing "Open with ..." , selecting appropriate application. That's all.

    Now, if I want to open eg. a passwords file I need to download it, opening a file manager app, selecting folder and opening downloaded file.

  10. disable downloading of shared documents with a toggle switch

    say you need to share a document with someone, but you don't want them to download it, if there was an option in the sharing settings in proton drive, when you share a file, to disable the option to download that shared document, that would be great.

    Finnish language is available on the web version on Proton Drive but is missing on the mobile apps. Thus, translations are available and should just be added to mobile apps

  14. Remove [local] files when deleting/uninstalling Proton Drive from client device

    Recently I discovered that when uninstalling Proton Drive (Windows) all of the files that had been synced to the local machine remained accessible. Changes to these files of course wouldn't be synced back to the server but would be accessible from the local machine.

    I propose that when uninstalling Proton Drive from a computer there's either:

    a) an option to remove local copies of the files

    b) The files are automatically removed after a warning stating that by uninstalling Proton Drive locally stored copies WILL be deleted

    c) at a minimum a warning that locally stored files will NOT be…

  17. Please show shared folders in macOS Finder and enable desktop shortcut for Proton Drive folders

    I would really appreciate if shared folders would be seen in macOS Finder as well like it is already possible with the existing own folders. And a Desktop shortcut would make things much easier.

  18. Ability to set the amount of concurrent files being synced

    The Proton Drive Client for Desktop Operating Systems should give you the option to change the amount of concurrent files being synced.
    Currently when checking the Activity tab, I can see its about 4-6, being able to increase this (especially for small files) would (probably) greatly improve performance.

  19. Multiple passwords for share links

    I'd love to see the ability to add more than one password for a share link that you can individually control and remove. This would add an extra level of security when sharing with multiple people and allow you to better control your opsec. Say one person shares the password without permission, you can effectively kick them off the link by just deleting that one password while still allowing others to access with their own password that you gave them.

  20. Consistent UI experience when using mobile apps

    When using Mail, Calendar and Drive they are like from different companies. It would be great to have consistent UI experience when using them.
