Using Drive for Photos albums in efficient way - smart and fast uploads
Using Drive for albums efficiently means, in my opinion, this: I go to the Photos section, then to Albums in P.Drive, click on upload folder, and select one folder on my PC, for example, "July 2025 trip to London", and Drive loads all the whole album at once, including all photos and videos, to the Albums section without any problems, with the same file name I've already given it. But today it's not able to do this. What's the point of having a photo slideshow app if I can't upload them easily and efficiently?

pure Video Links without Download option
I'd like to share my videos without making them downloadable. The download button should be optional.
When the shared link is clicked, the video should start playing directly in full screen.
Inexperienced users, and especially older users, won't realize they need to tap the (gray) button.
It should be as simple as possible.

Same folder option for copying documents
When we click to copy a document in a drive folder it brings up the pop-up menu with these options: My Files, Computers, Shared With Me. Could a fourth option be added: Same Folder? So that it would make the copy right in the same folder and we wouldn't have to click through the tree menu to get back to that folder.

Proton Photos ios local download
At the moment, on iPhone or iPad with Proton Drive Photos, you can only select individual pictures and make them available to other photo apps locally on the device by using the share function and “Save Image.” However, if you currently select more than one picture, this function is no longer available. It would be very helpful to have the option in the future to save multiple pictures or entire albums locally.

Photo date & metadata modification
Please enable modification of photo metadate—at very least, the date information. I've found this to sometimes be incorrect depending on the photo's lifetime in and between different devices and programs, and being able to modify this within Proton Drive would ensure greater control over how photos are organized.

Integration with Apple Files
Similar to Filen, be able to use to app within Apple Files, as it makes it much easier to to transfer files between the local app and the cloud drive.

It would be nice to be able to see the total size of folders in Proton Drive, rather than having to sift through folders to find the sizes of their individual file contents.

Allow creating shortcuts to folders on android home screen
It would be very convenient if it were possibly to create a shortcut to a proton drive folder on my phone's home screen, so that I could directly access it anytime.

Allow user to format zeros to look like dashes.
It is common in other spreadsheet applications to format zeros to look like a dash. When a number of cells have formulas or entry's that equal zero, it is much easier on the eyes to see dashes.

Add additional folders on mobile to sync to Proton drive
As it is, you only can sync photos. On the desktop you can add additional folders.

Integrating a Lumo-powered AI assistant into Proton Docs and Sheets seems like a great option, as it would streamline drafting documents and other tasks.

Tool in Drive
It would be good to have a tool (manager) in Drive that allows you to filter out duplicate documents or photos, and perhaps delete them as well. This would save a huge amount of data and also make it much more user-friendly.

Add Proton Drive Plus to the student discount program
Hi Proton team,
I'm a high school student from France, and a happy Proton user. I've migrated my entire digital life to Proton (Mail, Drive, Pass, Authenticator) and I create tutorial content on YouTube focused on console modding, so I rely heavily on Proton Drive to host and share my project files.
However, I noticed that Proton Drive Plus is currently not included in the student discount program on Student Beans, while Mail Plus, VPN Plus, and Unlimited are. As a student on a tight budget, the full monthly price for Drive Plus is difficult to justify, and the Unlimited…

Allow realtime updating of an open file via Proton Drive.
I would REALLY love to replace Microsoft OneDrive with Proton Drive. The one thing that's preventing me from doing that, though, is as a writer, OneDrive's ability to save/backup a Word document while I have it open and am working on it is crucial. If you could figure out a way for Proton Drive to do this, I'd be all over it.

I’d like to propose a single feature that would improve Proton Drive:
Idea: Introduce dynamic virtual collections (called “Topic Maps”) that automatically gather all files/folders sharing a given tag, regardless of their physical location.
Why it matters:
- Users can view all assets related to a project or theme in one place without reorganising folders.
- Teams can quickly audit completeness of a deliverable set (e.g., “all assets tagged ‘Game‑Launch‑Q3’”).
- Mirrors the “smart playlist” concept many users already know from music apps.

Show full thumbnail in Photos preview
The photo album view is nice. It would be even nicer if it was possible to show landscape as landscape and portrait as portrait instead of having everything in portrait (cutting edges off landscape photos). With this setting the landscape photos would be equally tall as portrait photos but wider than portraits. There will probably be some white space left on the right with this view, but I think it would look nicer. Maybe have an option to show smaller thumbnails as well.

Bring back functionality with Mail
Until recently, Drive worked with Mail in the Proton ecosystem. Now, to add an attachment to iOS Mail, one needs to first transfer a file from Drive to iCloud to be able to attach it. This breaks the entire functionality between the two apps in the same ecosystem. Please bring back the ability to attach documents from Drive to Mail.
