  1. Fix Proton Drive Photo backup date recognition

    Currently, when backing up or uploading photos to Proton Drive, it ignores Date Created and Last Modified dates, and instead seems to use the uploaded date as the date in the photo timeline, meaning migrating to Proton Drive for all photos results in loosing the timeline previous to the upload date, as all images are now stored on the same date.
    An improvement would be to use either the files date created or last modified dates to designate where it should be on the Proton Drive timeline

  2. Protons Docs Increase File Size Limit

    I have some documents with a lot of images that I'd like to migrate to Proton Docs, and they far exceed the current limit. It'd be nice if the size of the docs could be only limited by how much Proton Drive storage I have left (which is hundreds of GB), instead of 25 MB per doc.

  3. Change or hide username and default email address in email sent inform about shared folders or files

    With the new sharing feature (web-version), an email is sent automatically to the recipients displaying the sender's standard username and email address. Let the user change the sender address and username (even aliases) or suppress the automatic email and send an individual email manually instead. The username and standard email address might confuse the recipient and breach the individual privacy policy of the sender.

  4. EPUB - Reader in app and on web

    Epub files can be uploaded to proton drive, but not read directly in the app or on web as a PDF file can. I have collection of Epub and pdf books that would be great to read directly on proton. When read I will move from Dropbox

  5. Chose which adress email shares a file

    Hello,

    I tried to share a proton folder with designated email recipients, but the recipients receives an invitation from my super very secret admin email (The one i set when creating my account), instead of my "main" email with a different display name. (that i changed to default and is being displayed in most scenarios)
    Its kinda odd, and since having "alias email" is a thing, im sure many of us would benefit from being able to chose which profiles is being displayed when sharing a folder. (if i got one for games, one for work, one for whatever, i…

  6. Fonts in Docs

    Working with a type expert to curate a list of 20 or 30 high quality open license fonts to cover the majority of use cases would be a huge step toward legitimizing Proton Docs. I can understand why you might not want to utilize GFonts but it is one of the killer features that keep people tied to GDocs. As an educated amateur I would be happy to help with this, but someone like TypeWolf ( https://www.typewolf.com/ ) would be a great choice as a consultant.

  8. Show desktop folders on mobile app

    I'm using the beta Windows sync client and it works well to be able to sync my folders up to the Proton Drive webapp. However, while the sync client allows you to sync any folders on your machine, no folders outside of the ProtonDrive folder on the computer are showing up on the mobile app. On the web all of the folders that sit outside of the Proton Drive main folder show up under a "Computers" navigation. For those of us that have multiple folders across multiple drives can you enable the ability to see "computers" in the mobile app?

  9. Access trash from proton drive app

    Right now, the Proton Drive app shows minimal information about the trash bin. Users have to log in to the website in order to see or delete the trash.

    This could be construed as predatory to new users since the trash both takes up space (rapidly if you have computer backups) and is never deleted without manual intervention. The app makes it look like you're running out of space even if that space might be primarily made up of trash bin items.

  10. Pictures in Drive show on Photos

    We can upload picture files to the drive and organise them according to our needs with Folders... BUT, we cannot see those pictures in the Photos tab?!

    It would be great to see the Photo's tab include all photos whether in the 'My Files' section or uploaded onto 'Photos'. That being said, a 'Photos' folder in 'My Files' would be a better solution to letting us create Folders/Albums and also see all the pictures in the same place.

  11. Stop double spacing lines by default

    On documents, by default, when you hit the return key you get a double-spaced line. I understand that you can get a normal single-spaces line by using shift-return but that is annoying as **** Why would you make the default something I never want? You fore me to use shift-return every time.

  12. Select and share multiple files/folders

    At present, you can only select and share one file or folder at a time. From a business perspective, when I'm trying to share multiple files and folders with other company Proton accounts, it can be quite time-consuming to do it individually.

    I think that maybe Proton should add more fonts such as Libre Baskerville. I also think that they should allow at piece of text to be moved without the font reverting to Arial. (E.g: Verdana to Arial)

  14. Docs: Insert image from proton drive

    One can already insert images into a Proton Doc. But only uploads from the current computer are supported. One should also have the option to use an image that is already on proton drive.

  15. Photo backup by album should save to albums

    In the mobile app I can select which albums to backup on Proton drive. When saved to Proton drive the photos should stay sorted into those albums.

    Additionally, being able to create share links to those albums would be good as well.

  16. Control how often a Proton document auto-saves

    Editing a long Proton doc is becoming impossible because it auto-saves so much that it becomes unusable and lags.

    Is it possible to control the auto-save settings so that it only autosaves every (e.g.) one minute rather than after every keystroke. It's not a problem for small documents but it is for bigger than 8-10 pages.

  17. Proton Drive Web app: Forward slash "/" keyboard shortcut to initiate search, just like Mail :)

    Hi team!

    It would be amazing if we could initiate search in Proton Drive web app by simply pressing the forward slash "/" key. Functionality is already there in Proton Mail, and it's so bloody handy.

  18. Need more granular versioning options

    Currently, the Version History setting is global and applies to all files and folders equally. Instead, it would be helpful to be able to configure versioning at the folder or file level.

    For example, I could have a large file (e.g. a video) that I'm actively working on and revising. I don't want previous versions hanging around for months or years as they are just taking up space.

    On the other hand, I may have smaller, important documents whose revisions I want to keep for years.

    With the current system, I would need to set the global option to 10…

  19. Share Photos folder

    It's great we can finally sync our photos automatically with Proton Drive, but now, we'd like to share them.

    I would like to be able to share the whole folder with people from my family account.

  20. Photos with albums

    Change the photos ui to be similar to that of mega cloud service.
    Here you have a timeline that you can zoom in and out, and you can also zoom in and out of the thumbnails sizes.
    But most importantly, you can create albums and share those.
    This is very important if you want to move out of iCloud Photos or Google photos and into proton instead of into mega.
    Many people as I, have thousands of photos, and constantly more coming, and we continuously need to create and share albums with family members, for instance after a vacation or…
