sheets functionality
Thank you for creating Spreadsheets! I would love to completely move over from Google Sheets but
when i am typing in a cell, i should be able to hit the right or left arrow key and automatically move to the next cell over. I first have to hit ENTER to get out of editing, which moves the selected cell down a row, then I have to arrow right and up.
Repeating this process a multitude of times becomes time restrictive in cases of heavy data entry and both Google Sheets and Excel do not behave this way.

Proton Docs: Tables- Adding "Combine / Merge cells" & "Delete cell(s)"
[Request for Proton Docs: Tables]
Could you guys consider adding the ability to "combine cells / merge cells" & "delete cell(s)" for Tables in Proton Documents?
This feature would be extremely helpful for:
I. Notetaking- creating more customizable & legible tables that can quickly & easily be referenced again in the future.
II. I ask Lumo a lot of "How-to" questions & found that pasting Lumo's responses directly into Proton Docs works well bc the text copy-pastes over pretty close to its source-formatting.
To create a Header Row with only one Column Header cell intact (eg, In a 3-column table,…

Proton Docs import/export .odt
Besides .docx, many of us who use Linux and free/open-source software like LibreOffice Writer sometimes use .odt instead. It would be wonderful to have a direct export/download to .odt within Proton Docs

Proton Docs: Increase File Size Limit
I have some documents with a lot of images that I'd like to migrate to Proton Docs, and they far exceed the current limit. It'd be nice if the size of the docs could be only limited by how much Proton Drive storage I have left (which is hundreds of GB), instead of 25 MB per doc.

Proton Drive CLI: Content-aware conflict detection for `filesystem upload -c merge`
Implement content-aware (checksum-based) conflict detection in the merge mode so that byte-identical files are skipped, avoiding redundant uploads, storage duplication, and version history pollution.
Problem
The Proton Drive CLI (
filesystem upload -c merge) resolves file conflicts by filename only, not by file content. This means byte-identical files (matching checksums) are re-uploaded as new revisions instead of being recognized as unchanged and skipped.Reproduction
- Set up a local directory
~/testwith files - Have corresponding
/my-files/teston Proton Drive containing some identical files - Run:
proton-drive filesystem upload -c merge ~/test /my-files - Files with identical SHA1 hashes are uploaded again…

Decouple Proton Drive from Proton's default email address
As I understand it, Proton Drive uses the encryption key of the default email address in your Proton account to keep your drive volume end-to-end encrypted. From my perspective as a user, this poses a significant design issue, as it presents several problems:
You cannot accept invitations to collaborate on folders or documents sent to an email that isn't the original email address used to encrypt your drive. The invitation will still appear in the Proton Drive app as pending, but you won't ever be able to accept it. Therefore, collaboration is no longer privacy-friendly, as you may need to…

Link to a Proton Drive File in Proton Sheet
Request the ability, when creating a link in Proton Sheet, to directly retrieve the link to a file in Proton Drive, not just external links.
Currently, to do this, we have to create public sharing links for our Proton Drive files, which is both inconvenient and not very secure if we share our Proton Sheet.

Paste Markdown into Docs
You support copying from Docs as Markdown. But copying markdown into Docs doesn't convert it to formatted text—it stays in markdown, making it hard to read.
Please extend copying markdown to a two-way - copying from docs as markdown and pasting markdown to docs.
Quite useful if copying from a markdown editor like chatgpt, github or else to Proton Docs

local album to proton album
The new Albums are awesome, however having to manage albums in my phone gallery and proton manually is a major design flaw. Please make it so one can sync specific local folders to proton-folders automatically, so they can be shared. This slightly cuts into this: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/49920087-shared-photo-library

Find Content Across Spreadsheet Tabs
Thank you for creating Spreadsheets! I would love to completely move over from Google Sheets but a couple of things are missing
Enhance the Find feature
Give us the option to:
a) search across all tabs (not just the one active)
b) search a specific range of text
c) replace with text
c1) allow us to either replace just 1 instance or all27 votes -

Remove requirement for keyring for Proton CLI so it can be used on headless servers
Currently the new Proton Drive CLI requires libsecret and a keyring (gnome-keyring, kwallet, etc) which, if you attempt to install on a minimal headless Ubuntu server, pulls in over 50 package dependencies a lot of them for GUI based systems. Since this is a CLI tool it should not require GUI packages to use I suggest providing a "--headless" or "--no-keyring" flag for the CLI which does not depend on libsecrets/keyrings so the CLI can be used on headless servers. There are many other CLI tools that do this securely including rclone which supports Proton Drive.

Upload photos manually without backup
It is no longer possible to manually upload photos via the mobile app. This can be done via the website and also with older versions of the app. Now, to upload photos, you must activate your phone's backup feature.

Allow sharing with Proton email aliases
Currently in Proton Drive, when I try to share a file with someone who is using a Proton alias — for example, foo.bar681@passinbox.com — I get an error message:
"Inviting someone with a Proton or SimpleLogin domain is not permitted."
Why this restriction? Why, in order to receive an invitation to share a Drive file, must we expose our primary email address?

[Proton Drive – Photos Web] Do not redirect user to album after adding photo(s)
Current Behavior:
When adding one or more photos to an album via the Proton Drive Photos web interface, the user is automatically redirected to the destination album.Expected Behavior:
The user should remain in the Photos view after adding photo(s) to an album, consistent with the behavior already implemented in the mobile apps (at least iOS, I didn't check the Android on).Problem Statement:
This redirect creates significant friction when organizing photos spread across a long time period. For each add action, the user is forced to:
- Get redirected to the album
- Click "Back"
- Navigate back to…12 votes
