Do not download "other computers" files by default
During a second installation of ProtonDrive software on a laptop, I had to re-download dozens of gigabytes from the first desktop PC.
I wish this could have been deactivated, I would have just retrieved a file or two from the web interface if necessary.

"Cancelled" tab in upload pop-up of the Webapp interface
It would be really great to have a "Cancelled" tab when uploading files to Proton Drive. Let me explain.
Currently, when uploading files (especially if it is a very large number of files) you get a small pop-up showing you the progress of your upload.The pop-up has four (4) tabs:
1) All
2) Active
3) Completed
4) FailedCONTEXT:

Invalid drive types
Please allow the location for Proton Drives local storage to be set to a mounted VeraCrypt container. This will give offline local storage for immediate file access while waiting for the new sync to occur.

Access synced computer data while using mobile app
The idea is to have access to my pc's synced documents and folders anywere, but now days it is only possible through a web browser, it would be great to have access to pc's synced data in my smartphone app.

SHARED FOLDERS : Subfolders and contents need download counters and a share indicators.
If you share a folder only the folder pointed to by the URL link records if it is shared and how many downloads have occurred using that link.
Within the shared folder the "details" menu option of each subfolder and file indicate they are not shared and doesn't record if they have been downloaded.
All shared objects need to indicate they are being shared and how many downloads have occurred. Currently the management of shared objects is very limited if you don't have this information.

Windows client on mutli-account PC
I am using two different user accounts on my PC (one for work, one for private purposes).
I want to access and sync my private Proton Drive folder while using my work profile. OneDrive supports this, I just create a folder, e.g., c:\OneDrive and enable sync on both user accounts. If I do the same with Proton Drive, it tells me that's not possible because the folder has to be empty to initialize the sync process.
Right now, I would need two separate folders with the same content, wasting disk space and bandwidth because all files would be synced twice.

Pictures in Apple iPhone HEIC-format, need to be downloaded and cannot be previewed in Proton Drive.

Proton Drive Integration with Android Default Storage
I haven't yet found a way to set Proton Drive as a default storage location on Android within the "My Files" functionality which drives selectable save options for most file save actions. Obviously, Google Drive is available along with MS OneDrive, internal storage, SD storage and network storage. Having Proton Drive set here would make file management much easier on Android mobile.

Ability to duplicate a file within Proton Drive
There is no way currently to duplicate a file or folder in Proton Drive. If a user wants to have the same file in multiple folders, or create a duplicate folder with slight modifications to contents, everythign must be done offline and re-uploaded to Proton Drive (ex. re-upload the file to every folder you wish to place it in, vs. making duplicates within Proton Drive and moving them to the other folders)

Shared folders: Navigate folders or gallery preview for photos/files
After sharing a folder (thanks for adding the ability to share a folder!), give the ability to navigate the folder tree to individual files. Then for photos or any file that can be previewed, give the option to preview the file. Think the Preview app in OSX, it works really well.
I use the ability to share a folder to give access to photos of my kids to their grandparents and family members. Switching from Sync, Sync offers the folder navigation feature I described above, but what would set Proton Drive apart even more would be a "Photo Album" viewer. …

Have Proton Drive be everything Evernote is and more. It should also allow the ability to migrate from Evernote into Proton Drive.

Improve context menu with Proton icons
The right-click menu already exists. It has options for "Always keep on device" and "Free up space". Neither of these options make it clear they come from ProtonDrive. Add a small icon to the left of the option title as many other programs do so users can associate the action with the corresponding program.

Viewing Options
It would be nice to have three folder viewing options (list, thumbnail, large thumbnail). Every view should be independently selectable in each hierarchy level p.ex.:
Main Folder list view
Subfolder small thumbnails
Subfolder content large thumbnailsIf 'list view' is now chosen in one of the hierarchy levels, it automatically applies to all the other levels. Add exclusions for trash folders
Please add an ability to exclude certain folders from having deleted files landing in trash. We should be able to mark certain folders as excluded, where if they're deleted, they're deleted for good.

Option to periodically stop and continue uploads in order to avoid failing uploads
When uploading to the Proton drive using the Web interface, due to network issues, sometimes uploads of large files (e.g. 2GB) are aborted and then fail. In case of Proton drive I then have to upload such files from their beginning. That's quite frustrating, especially if the upload fails after 90% or so of the file. Workaround: I periodically halt the upload for a few seconds and then continue the upload in order to avoid trouble by possible timeouts somewhere. Would it be possible to automatize that, e.g. periodically halt and continue the upload after blocks of e.g. 64 MB?…
