  1. music streaming

    I see this has already been suggested, but music streaming like pCloud has. I'll likely go with pCloud for now, at least, but would prefer going with your company if the streaming were available. If encrypting music streams is too processor-intensive, you could give us the option to opt out of it for listening to music, maybe?

  2. Allow Comments on File Timeline (audio/video)

    I’d love to see Proton Drive support timeline-based comments on audio and video files—similar to what Dropbox (paid tiers) and SoundCloud offer.

    Many professionals in media, post-production, and creative fields use file-sharing services to review drafts and exchange feedback. With timeline comments, collaborators could leave notes like:

    • “Adjust volume here (2:15)”
• “This transition at 0:42 feels too abrupt”
• “Love the tone at 1:05!”

    Use cases:
    • Music producers sharing mix drafts
    • Filmmakers reviewing cuts
    • Voice actors receiving client direction
    • Creative agencies gathering feedback on promos or reels

  3. Autotrash. Set a document to automatically trash itself after a set time.

    Sometimes, I am just transfering a document I don't want to accidentally leave in the Drive. If it is shared, maybe I want to guarantee the share ends.

  4. Compliance lock as malware / ransomware protection

    Please add the option to set a compliance lock on Proton Drive so that users can protect themselves from malware / ransomware.

    Please make the feature available to all users, not just business.

  5. Default font/theme

    It'd be great if I could set my own default Docs theme:

    1. Font family
    2. Font size
    3. Light/dark mode

    Basically, I do not ever want to use Arial.

    Ever.

    Ideally, I should be able to load in a handful of custom fonts if I have the relevant file. Happy to not have them loaded from Google Fonts for obvious reasons.

    When operating on specific versions of a file, it would be convenient to be able to select multiple versions to delete, download or restore.

  9. Ability to upload more than 10 photographs at once from the Proton Drive iOS app

    Right now photo upload to a folder in the Proton Drive iOS app is limited to 10 photographs which is really unhandy and stops a widespread adoption in my organisation. Please change this

  11. Windows Sync - Interrupt Shutdown

    I find that Sync is a little on the slow side for proton, and I often shut down my computer before sync is done. Whatever file I was working on completely disappears from the drive until I can turn that device back on. I'd like the windows app to prevent shutdown until it's done syncing, and a warning to be included off the file if sync didn't complete. It's been a bit of a problem for me.

  13. Share Photos folder

    It's great we can finally sync our photos automatically with Proton Drive, but now, we'd like to share them.

    I would like to be able to share the whole folder with people from my family account.

  14. Duplicate file search and preview within ProtonDrive

    As described in the title, a possibility to find duplicate files within ProtonDrive. Clear indication in which folders the files are stored and a file preview to compare the two files before deleting one or more of the same file.

  15. Hidden Albums

    At the time of this feature request, albums in Photos are in development and are planned for release soon.

    However, we need to anticipate a very useful feature: "private" or "hidden" albums - the terminology doesn't make much difference.

    This is the ability to select an entire album or select photos and videos and hide them from the home screen, requiring you to go to a "private" location that prompts you for a password (or other method) to access what you've hidden.

  16. Sync files/folders only to Proton, exclude from being synced *to other devices*

    It would be super-helpful to be able to mark files and folders so that they cannot be synced to other devices (and are therefore only present on the source system as well as at Proton).

    This could be useful for sensitive data that exist on the source machine, need to be backed up, but also need to be prevented from inadvertently landing on other (perhaps less trusted) machines.

    Implementation is left open here, but could happen in various interesting ways. The most “natural” way I’d see is to navigate to Proton Drive, select a file or folder, then mark it…

    EDITED: Sorry, this may be misplaced, but here goes: I cannot get Proton Drive to install on my HP ENVY x2 - 12-e011nr laptop. It's an ARM 64 bit laptop (running Windows 10 for ARM), but when I try to run the official installer for ARM (1.10.1), Windows says "This app can't run on your PC"

    I've tried to run it as a local user, and an administrator, and I also ran the compatibility troubleshooter. No-go. Really disappointed with this

  20. Proton Drive Web app: Forward slash "/" keyboard shortcut to initiate search, just like Mail :)

    Hi team!

    It would be amazing if we could initiate search in Proton Drive web app by simply pressing the forward slash "/" key. Functionality is already there in Proton Mail, and it's so bloody handy.
