Android Intent Support or API for a Reading App Integration
Dear Lumo Team,
I'm the developer of @Voice Aloud Reader, a popular Android ebook/document reader app. I'm interested in integrating AI-powered book summarization features that respect user privacy - which makes Lumo an ideal solution.Current Approach & Results: I've tested Lumo with book chapters (up to 100KB text) by manually copying/pasting content. The summarization quality and literary analysis are excellent - exactly what my users need for "remind me what happened" scenarios when returning to books after breaks, having questions to answer, discuss the book etc., but copy/paste workflow is far from perfect.
Feature Requests:

Ability to affect the model choice
Especially for paying power users, it would be nice to have the ability to manually affect the choice between models. I understand if this doesn't fit your service framework, but I wanted to just put this out there.

Employ bigger models
The current offering of models is entirely composed of small models, which can work well for some tasks and is certainly efficient, but also makes the service unusable for more complicated tasks. For example, none of the models employ reasoning techniques.

Expose the underlying model name
I understand that offerings such as copilot also hide the underlying models, but I would really appreciate it if the model used with any given answer would be named. Currently, we only have a list in the supporting documentation of the possible models that may be used, and then in the answer it isn't reveled anywhere which model generated it. If the user directly asks, then the model will refuse. I assume this is because the model itself doesn't know, or it has been forbidden from revealing by the system prompt. I can understand the business incentive, but it is…

Support pasting image (screenshot) directly to chat
As a software developer, I tend to screenshot my code screen (automatic copy) and just pasting it directly to the chat, no file saving needed. This is not possible on lumo web app right now but easily doable for chatgpt

Support more file type
Right now file upload is very limited, I can't even upload screenshot images for lumo to process. File type is very specific right now, I think it only accepts .PNG while .png is not acceptable

Lumo Does Not Open Half The Time
I’m on Lumo Plus and in IOS (and in Brave on my computer) about half the time the Lumo app and site link open to a blank white screen. I either have to re open on my phone or refresh on Brave.
Looking forward to seeing what yall do with Lumo!

Emphasize that user data is never used to train AI models
From the Lumo "Getting started" webpage: "Information you enter is never used to train AI models." I think this should be emphasized more and expounded on, perhaps giving scenarios using both Lumo and other AI chatbots. (It looks like a no-brainer choice, to me, of which bot to use given that all the other ones (Maybe not DuckAssist?) exploit you and your data/thoughts.) While the privacy mantra of Proton is well-known and can be assumed, that's no reason to be subtle.

Lumo chats are saved
As I read the Lumo documentation, I find this FAQ: "Are my chats saved?". The answer given is: "Chats are only saved if you use a Free or Plus plan.". Hello? What plan other than the Free and Plus is there? Is the answer to the FAQ actually "yes"? Explain, please.

Notify existing Proton users that Lumo is a new Proton product offering
Until I logged-in to Proton uservoice.com, I didn't know that Lumo exists. I do not recall getting an email notification. I got a notification, e.g., for Proton Authenticator. Anyway, I'm researching Lumo now, as I definitely can see myself using a Proton chatbot vs. other (data-collecting) offerings from those evil IT megacompanies. Currently, I have DuckDuckGo's DuckAssist set to offer answers as frequently as possible.
I really see traditional web search being replaced by AI-based search entirely. Perhaps AI-based search is the answer to finally being FREED from all the marketing results when you really want information rather than product/company/shopping…

Please develop the app for Intel Mac as you did for all of your other Proton Products.

Ability to run local models
Some small models are capable to run locally on phones. This would be great for privacy and also as a free alternative for the more powerful paid LLMs.

Unlimited chat history
I totally understand the price of LLM as extra subscription but limiting the chat history to 7 days is really just an annoyance. For paying customers with 500GB disk space and possibility to save history locally on device there is really no reason to limit it in any way.
For free users history can be saved locally only as on https://duck.ai/ and for registered users it can be saved in the account's storage quota. For unlimited subscription with 500GB disk that is basically unlimited.

Lumo - Export Full Chat
In an effort to keep a clean history in Lumo, it would be nice to be able to export full chats instead of having to copy and paste individual responses. This would be similar to duck.ai's export feature.

Lumo button to allow permanent web search
Web search is crucial for AI answers IMO. It would be nice to not have to click the "Web Search" button every time I open the app. Great product though!

Lumo App (Android) cannot be locked
If you log in with your proton acount in Lumo, you have immediat access to all your account and keys via browser when selecting Settings under the account tab. If you cannot lock the app woth Biometrics or at least a pin, that a clear security issue.
I immediately signed out when I saw this..
Please fix it.

Add Lumo to Firefox AI chatbots
I would love to see Lumo as an option for Firefox's AI chatbots selection. This would be a really good way to integrate it with the browser (outside of maybe making an extension in the future).

Lumo - Consistent Web Search
Love the Web Search option in Lumo, would be great if you could trigger it to work consistently. Currently it is sporadic and says it is not meant for real-time search/results. This is limiting considering the training dataset is over 2 years old. Being able to reliably get up-to-date information is critical for evaluating current trends, events, research, etc.
