  1. Title: "Lumo Agent Mode: Computer interaction & coding automation with accessible pricing tier

I'm requesting that Proton develops Lumo as an AI agent capable of interacting directly with my computer to automate tasks and assist with coding workflows.

What I mean by "Agent Mode":

Execute commands and scripts on my local machine
    Navigate filesystems, create/edit files automatically
Debug code by identifying and fixing errors
Run terminal commands with permission confirmation
Integrate with IDEs (VS Code, JetBrains, etc.)
    Handle repetitive development tasks autonomously
Why this matters: Currently, LLMs can only respond within chat interfaces. An agent-capable Lumo would enable:

Real automated workflows (data processing, file organization, deployments)
Faster coding cycles with automatic debugging/refactoring
    Reduced…

  2. Embedded images and preview-style links in responses

It would be great if when, comparing different products, for example, Lumo could embed images and links in-line in the response rather than trying to dig through the Sources section at the very bottom of the message.

  3. Allow Lumo to directly read and write ProtonDrive native files

Allow Lumo to directly read ProtonDrive native files and to read them consistently as part of their knowledge base in a project. We are working on using Proton as our office suite for a small startup and it would be great to develop files in the native formats and then use them as knowledge for Lumo Chats. It would be fantastic if Lumo could also update those files as we ask and it be part of the system.

  4. Write permissions for Lumo to share infos between projects

I’ve created several projects in which I work on different topics using specialized Lumos.

I also have a general chat outside of the projects that I use for general questions, journals, small talk, or brainstorming. However, this general Lumo doesn’t know what’s going on in the projects because they’re isolated from one another.
While brainstorming, I had the idea that it would be really handy if Lumo had a dedicated folder with write access in Drive where it could create files to share with the projects. For example, summaries when a project is successfully completed or updates on its current…

  5. Document LLM poisoning mitigation measures for Lumo

I would like to see some transparency in what measures if any are being taken to prevent LLM poisoning from distorting responses.

Here is an article talking about the issue:

    https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/israel-brad-parscale-ai-chatbots-gaza

Companies that produce or offer LLM's as a server need to be aware of this tactic and come up with a response against this form of attack.

  6. Native Mermaid diagram rendering in Lumo chat interface

    Description:

Mermaid.ai is the de facto standard for text-to-diagram visualization, natively supported by GitHub, GitLab, Notion, Obsidian, and VS Code. Currently, when Lumo generates Mermaid syntax in a fenced ```mermaid code block, the Lumo web UI displays it as raw text instead of rendering the diagram visually. This significantly reduces the utility of Lumo for technical users who rely on diagrams — flowcharts, sequence diagrams, architecture diagrams, state machines, ER diagrams, and more.

    Proposed implementation:

Integrate the Mermaid.js library into the Lumo web UI Markdown renderer to automatically detect and render ```mermaid fenced code blocks as interactive SVG diagrams within…

  7. Color coding in calendar

I am a proton drive subscriber at the 200 GB tier -- this fits my needs as a regular email user well. I haven't been a digital calendar user in the past, but I need to start using one, and have been comparing different apps. I really like the format of the Proton Calendar, and I want my calendar app to be encrypted for privacy reasons... but I am so frustrated that I have to upgrade for color coding in the calendar. This is a really basic feature and I'm not going to upgrade to use, and to get around…

  8. Paid Chat Preservation - Automatic Freeze/Backup Instead of Deletion

    Current Behavior:
After subscription expiry, all chat history is deleted 7 days later. There is no chat backup functionality currently available.

    Why Manual Backups Fall Short:
Relying on users to manually export or back up chats defeats the purpose of a seamless subscription model. Manual backups are reactive and easy to forget - automatic preservation should be the default expectation for paid users.

    Proposed Solutions:
    1. Freeze/Hide Logic (Lumo 1.x style): When subscription ends, chats become read-only or hidden rather than deleted
    2. Automatic Drive Integration: Proton Drive auto-backups for chat history at regular intervals
    3. Grace Period Extension: Longer…

  9. use Drive and Docs as Lumo memory for avoiding the bottle neck that brings us "chat too long". thanks

2 problems. 1. chats cut off due to bottle neck or lack of live memory to back up lumo. 2. Having to cut paste constantly while working to avoid loss of "condensing" the chat. Can proton apps act as backup and active chat memory? Since the subject is often revisited for context. ? Need 2 way data movement between Drive/ Docs and Lumo. Integrate infrastructure.

  10. Lumo Gallery should state example images are not from users

I asked LUMO about the images below gallery, where those comes from, It answer the following:

lumo created images are shared to the community in the gallery?

    Checked Proton knowledge
No, images created with Lumo are not automatically shared to a public community gallery.

Lumo is designed with privacy as a core principle. Images you generate or upload are:

Private by default: They are stored with end-to-end encryption and are only accessible to you.
Not used for training: Your images and conversations are never used to train AI models.
Controlled sharing: You can choose to share images with specific people…

  11. Edit/Remove content pasted in to project chats from project files

Right now if you paste a a large enough block of text in to a project chat it coverts it to a text file and it will be added to the over all project context that Lumo has access to. But, once this content is pasted in to one chat, even if that chat is deleted the pasted content text file from the still stays in the project knowledge and all future chats will then use that as context for the project and it cannot be edited or removed.

This request is to allow us to edit/remove these pasted text…

  12. Fix "Context Length Exceeded" on moderate-sized log files

"Context Length Exceeded" errors when uploading moderately sized log files (even 1-5 MB text files) to Lumo for analysis despite the theoretical 128k token context window.

Use case: As an IT administrator managing cloud infrastructure, I need to analyze server logs, error traces, and security events. Other AI assistants handle multiple large log files without issue. Lumo currently dumps entire file content into the prompt, consuming all available context upfront.

Thank you for considering this feedback. Privacy-first AI with practical file handling capabilities would make Lumo indispensable for professionals managing sensitive data.

  13. Support AGENTS.md or similar global configuration file for automatic context

Allow users to define a markdown file (e.g., AGENTS.md) that Lumo reads automatically at session start, providing global context like tech stack, coding standards, infrastructure constraints, and behavioral rules. This would:
    - Eliminate repetitive manual context-pasting per session
    - Work across all conversations (not project-scoped)
    - Support version-controlled configuration (Git repos)
    - Align with emerging AGENTS.md standard used by other AI tools (Junie AI, GitHub Copilot, Aider, Gemini CLI)

Free-tier compatible since it doesn't require persistent storage — just file parsing at session start. File could be stored on Proton Drive.

  14. Downloadable document generation

I noticed Lumo AI lacks on document generation. No option to generate downloadable document such as text, pdf, markdown, excel, powerpoint, open document, etc. I suggest this should be available as it is a norm/standard feature of an AI.

  15. Make chats downloadable for personal archiving

Why are Lumo chats not downloadable? This is most cumbersome in 2026. While chats are ostensibly saved with a Lumo account, they are subjected to being abridged (for "lengthy" chats) and totally unavailable without internet. So what is the deal? Is it a Proton encryption thing or have you just not gotten around to it or what?

  16. make it easy as possible to run Lumo from a home server - its a win for all but especially Proton

Proton allows you to download and run your own version, but I just read the instructions and its not trivial. Its in the interest to Proton to do so. The user takes on costs for power, space, and cooling. An analogy: a german telcom created a virtualized TV set top box. The TV interface was streamed and effectively ran like a video game. The home only required a simple USB stick that ran DRM and some controls. This cost about 30 euro and the user would self install, just plug it into their smart TV. This replaced a 100 Euro…

  17. : Add Read Aloud / Text-to-Speech Button for Responses

I would like to request a "Read Aloud" button feature for Lumo AI responses. This would allow users to have my replies spoken aloud using text-to-speech.

    Why this would be helpful:

Great for listening to content while relaxing, resting, or preparing for sleep
Helpful for accessibility needs (visual impairments or difficulty reading on screen)
Useful for multitasking when hands are busy but ears are free
Perfect for consuming longer content like stories, summaries, or articles without staring at a screen
    Suggested implementation:

A speaker 🔊 button next to each response (or in the response toolbar)
    Ability to pause, resume, and…

  18. Add an incognito mode to not include memories for unbiased chats

Lumo is great and the memory feature is great. However sometimes it would be nice to have a chat without it having all that extra memory context to have a simple unbiased, impartially neutral chat for times where all the memory content is making things "too" personalised with the angles it takes.

It would also come in handy when someone is next to you and asks "Can you ask Lumo about XYZ" and then you search. With an incognito feature, if you're asking it questions about someone else's issues it won't blurt out for everyone reading things like "It's not…

  19. Lumo Green Ads Position Paper.pdf (or .txt.docx)

Title: Integrate Green Contextual Advertising to Expand Lumo Free Tier

    Description:

Problem: Lumo's subscription-only model limits free tier generosity (7-day chat history, 100 queries/week), restricting adoption to a privacy-conscious niche rather than building the mass user base needed to challenge US AI dominance.

Proposal: Implement "Lumo Green Ads" — contextual advertising from EU-certified green companies, using the EU's September 2026 Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (Directive 2024/825/EU) as regulatory foundation.

    Benefits:

Enables expanded free tier (300-500 queries/week, 30-90 day history) for users opting into ads
Preserves privacy principles: no behavioral tracking, no profiling, on-device content classification only
    Creates…
